A nice quite retreat like home. Very clean and spacious with a few different ways to enjoy the outdoors from the comforts of the home. This home was very convenient for my family of 5 to stay while our new home was being built, my boys loved the space. Also it was convenient to be able to have private space in the finished basement to work from home. My wife and I are a little jealous that this home isn’t ours!!

Debbie took us in at the last moment (next day) and was kind and flexible when our arrival time kept changing. Her guest studio is spacious and clean, and the kitchen better outfitted than we expected from the pictures (there's an electric stove). While advertised as a "basement" studio, theree are windows looking out into the yard, which is quaint and a nice place to study. Whetstone lake is a 5 minute walk down the street, and a pleasant 30-60 minute to walk around it. Restaurants, convenience stores, and pharmacy are a 10 minute walk from the house. NIST-Gaithersburg, our destination, is a 10 minute drive. So really this place is ideal for NIST visitors, as Debbie advertises. Bottom line: spacious, tidy, quaint and conveniently located for hikes, shopping/eating, and NIST. Thanks, Debbie!

Beautiful location and home for a weekend stay! I hosted a few friends for an event and they enjoyed staying in the Kentlands area where they could walk to local restaurants in a quiet neighborhood. Thanks Colleen for a wonderful experience!

I needed a restful night before an early flight, and my stay was indeed peaceful and relaxing. While the stairs leading to the property were challenging with my large luggage, despite the host's kind offer of assistance, the tranquility of the stay made it worthwhile.

I attended a conference in DC with my research group, and this large house was ideal for us, on top of being a great value. It is about 6 miles from downtown, is very well equipped, and is in a nice and diverse neighborhood, with all kinds of restaurants and international grocery stores. The only thing one should be aware of, is traffic in and around Washington. We used the “leave later” feature in Waze to plan for the best departure time every morning. Highly recommended for any large family or group.

We had an amazing stay at this charming farmhouse w our young kids and elderly parents! The property was perfect for a relaxing getaway that we all needed. The chickens were a delight, and collecting fresh eggs was a unique experience. I cant tell you how much my kids love it. The pond added a serene touch, and the outdoor movie setup was a fantastic way to end our days. The host Hannah were incredibly welcoming and attentive, making sure we had everything we needed. She is so pleasant to work with and very responsive. She sent us the local recommended restaurant list and we love them all. We did a day trip to Washington DC easily from this location. Highly recommend this place for a peaceful retreat! Such an amazing airbnb stay and we will come back.

Wonderful

Stayed here during our bike ride on the C&O trail. It was about 1 mile off of the trail, and very easy to find. It was exactly what we needed. Multiple showers, two bedrooms, and laundry-everyone in our group was able to get refreshed for another day on the trail! There weren’t restaurants in the area, but plenty of options on DoorDash. Our beds were extremely comfortable. This was our best stay on the trail for sure!

If I could give 10 stars I would! Monique’s place was one of the best stays I’ve ever had on Airbnb. Extremely clean rooms, the beds are very comfortable, fast and easy communication from her. I couldn’t ask for any better. She is a very thoughtful host, and I would recommend this place to anyone.

I enjoyed my stay and was surprised when John on his own sent me a list of things to do and restaurants around the area. He was very helpful to make sure I had all I needed in the house. The place was clean and well maintained. No complaints, definitely recommend if you want to be near DC but not stay in the DC area to rest.

La anfitriona es muy amable y atenta. Tuve varias dudas sobre el lugar y el hospedaje, y respondió a todas ellas. Hubo un pequeño inconveniente para poder acceder al departamento y al wifi a la llegada, debido a que no tenía un número de EEUU la comunicación fue compleja en ese momento, pero se superó de manera óptima y rápida. Por otro lado, al no ser de la zona, no tenía noción de que espacios como la piscina no están disponibles en estas fechas, me habría gustado eso se indicara en el anuncio. Pero, en general, la estadía fue agradable, cómoda y me sentí respaldada por la anfitriona en mi primera visita a la ciudad.

I needed a last minute place to crash & get a lot of work done in a quiet space. Lindsay’s place is free of clutter, yet still has everything you need. I enjoyed that there was a backyard so I could easily let my pup out to go potty. Easy to find and the lockbox was simple. Lindsay is up front in her description that you might hear kiddos upstairs but honestly, I only heard them for like 10 minutes and they weren’t any disturbance at all. Clear instructions. Lindsay was proactive in her communication which I highly appreciated. The bed was the most comfortable bed I think I’ve ever slept on.

We really enjoyed this home. I thought the instructions were very straightforward, Ola provides a detailed explanation on how to get in, where to park, and local attractions ! The space was clean, and exactly as pictured. It is in a downtown area so that means you can walk to nearly everything! Overall a great value and easy access to DC !
