Tom is a super friendly host with a lovely home. We really enjoyed the views from the cabin and the deck amenities (hot tub, string lights, grill). The porch right inside had a great sitting area and view of the lake during the day. This was also very close to a number of things, including Ann Arbor, which was really convenient.

Eddie greeted us warmly and showed us how the house worked. I was there for a dog show it was absolutely perfect for that! Everything we needed was right there and it felt a very safe comfortable dog friendly area!

Where do we even begin? From the moment we arrived, it felt like staying with long-lost relatives who actually like you. The place was spotless, beautifully decorated, and stocked with thoughtful touches that screamed, ‘We’re overachievers, but in a good way.’ The hosts went above and beyond in ways that felt almost suspicious. We opened the fridge to find bubbly waiting for us (are we royalty now?), and there were chocolates on the counter like they somehow knew our love language. As if that wasn’t enough, we spent an unforgettable evening soaking in the hot tub while it snowed, overlooking the most serene lake view we’ve ever seen. It was like being in a Hallmark movie but without the small-town drama. Every detail was so thoughtful, from the cozy blankets to the recommendations that made us feel like locals. This wasn’t just a stay; it was an experience we’ll be talking about for years. If you’re considering booking, do it. Just don’t book the weekend we want to come back, okay?

Chris’s house was so nice, roomy and peaceful! It was just as listed. The views from the house were amazing. We really appreciated having the kayaks available for use. It was a beautiful weekend to enjoy the water. We also appreciated having wood, wood starter and a lighter on hand, to hangout and have a fire at night. This house was just what we were looking for. We had a lovely stay at this amazing home! It was a great long weekend get away for our family. The home was exactly like the pictured and Shelly’s communication was fantastic. We spent lots of time in the hot tub and playing ping pong. The deer walking through the snow and the beautiful surroundings made for a very relaxing weekend! We would love to come back in warmer weather and experience this home in other seasons. Highly recommend!

What a wonderful place to stay! This was a girls weekend for my 13 year old granddaughter and myself. She had such a great time using the hot tub and the dome. The hot tub was amazing also for this old ladies’ joints. The kitchen is extremely well stocked with amenities… I was not lacking in anything needed. The hosts are so nice and responsive! The sign is beautiful and so thoughtful. Very relaxing and enjoyable weekend. My granddaughter says we will be going back!! 🤣

We loved this cabin. Real kayaks to use and are easy to access. The yard is amazing, neighbors are nice and gave us tips about the lake. The lake is beautiful and peaceful. The house itself is incredibly clean and cozy, and has all the things you need. I read some previous reviews about the water; I can see why it’s surprising to people who have only had city water, but I think it’s pretty typical well water and is fine to use and drink. The owner also provided bottled water.

Great central location for visiting family in Michigan - east to get to lansing and Ann Arbor. Peaceful little place to relax

We wanted a peaceful, relaxing and fun Fall getaway and that’s exactly what we got! The Cottage was everything we asked for- simple and cozy! The sunrise over the lake was gorgeous, coffee on deck started the days nicely and warm fires ended the nights!

Amazing place! Even better than expected! Although it says no AC, they have a little AC unit next to the couch and it makes the whole place so cool! We brought fans and didn't even need to use them. The view was absolutely beautiful. The sunsets on the water were truly breathtaking. I also wanted to mention how I love that we were able to spend it with our puppy, kind of rare to find a nice waterfront like this that allows animals! We will definitely be back next summer.

A Wonderful Experience at Cozy Hosting! I recently had the pleasure of staying at Cozy Hosting, and it was an absolutely fantastic experience! The property is located right on the water, offering great views that made our stay even more enjoyable. The home was exactly as described—spacious, clean, and well-appointed. It had everything we needed, from kitchen essentials to cozy linens, making us feel right at home. I loved spending our mornings with coffee on the deck, soaking in the beautiful scenery. The water was clear, and the deck was even better than described. My wife and kids all felt at home and thoroughly enjoyed our week. We enjoyed our stay so much that we are already planning to come back again! Thank you for such a wonderful experience at Cozy Hosting!

This was the second time we've stayed at the Golden Retreat cottage, and it won't be the last. It was the perfect place for our family of six to stay during the Hillsdale College's family weekends. The house goes above and beyond providing all the details, a beautiful view, a cozy atmosphere, comfortable beds and pillows, quality furniture, and all the kitchen supplies you need. Our family thoroughly enjoyed the selection of games provided, the living room set-up for talking and laughing together, and the morning room which I used for my workspace and morning coffee! We traveled to the area for a wedding and appreciated finding a very reasonably priced place to stay for the 7 of us in our group. The house was clean and owners very responsive. As other reviewers have mentioned, the signage in the neighborhood against Airbnb's made us a little nervous, but we had zero issues with neighbors and the entire time we spent at the house was quiet and peaceful. The pizza place and general store near the house were great stops for food and drinks/snacks when we arrived in town. When our daughter forgot one of her dolls at the house, Greg quickly mailed it back to us which was very appreciated. If we had to do it over again, we would have gladly stayed in the same house.

The cottage was very nice. We loved all the amenities including the toiletry basket. It had anything you may have forgotten. Loved that it came with bath and beach towels, flotation devices for the lake, kayaks, and the family favorite, the paddle board. It made it so easy to pack and go and not worry about what we may have forgotten. The yard is big and beautiful leaving plenty of space for the kids to play.

Terrific!! Beatriz's place is absolutely amazing - comfortable and luxurious, at the end of a peninsula on a beautiful lake. We loved the property's amenities, it's incredibly cozy and comfortable and we felt right at home. Beatriz went above and beyond to make sure we were comfortable and accommodated. Truly reminds me of why Airbnb is so great, which is not always easy to find these days. Thank you for making our vacation terrific 😊

Peaceful lakefront setting. Was perfect for our fishing trip. Close to several different boat ramps and just enough room to fit the truck and boat out front. Would stay again

Leslie was amazing. She is organized and on top of everything you could need or want. She took time to make sure everything was perfect for us! We rented the pontoon and it was cleaned and ready for the day. She had recommendations for things to so while we were here and answered any questions that we had immediately! We will be back
