We have stayed here several times and we love it more with each visit. Mike and Amy have invested in their property and there are new updates with each year. There is newer furniture than what is pictured. The lake is so nice for swimming!!! And having access to all the kayaks, paddle boat, etc makes the stay so much more fun and relaxing. Sitting on the deck listening to the loons and star gazing is the perfect end to the day!

We enjoyed our stay to soak up a few more sunny days of summer. Downtown was extremely walkable and the view of the lake was gorgeous. The space was comfortable for relaxing after a day of adventure and had everything we needed. The decor really provided a cabin and “Up North” feel.

We greatly enjoyed our stay! It was an up north oasis! The crisp winter air, the pines looking over the frozen lake, the fresh winter snow…perfection! The home was cozy and warm after a day outside. The beds were comfortable and the home was clean. We will be returning for a future weekend away!

The house was exactly as pictured. One of the few stays where I was able to cook breakfasts and dinners and had everything I needed. The main family room with the fireplace was cozy and relaxing. We typically chose the places we stay for the sauna and this one was one of the best. It heated up quickly and steamed well. The lake view was amazing with peak color and close to fun outdoorsy things we love when in the UP.

One of the best we have rented! Loved everything about it. Home was perfect size for our group and it was immaculate and very well organized! Lots of love and care is put into this place and it shows! Its not too far from town which is what we wanted but also a perfect distance away for quietness. We will definitely be booking again in the future.

First time experience at a lake house and it was very pleasant. Stayed with a 11 member group including kids from age 1 to 13 and everyone liked the place. Access to Pontoon was an added attraction and was very easy to learn and operate. Scott responds to texts within minutes and always accessible, place is easy to find and the location is serene.

Absolutely beautiful as we arrived with the first snowfall of the year. Comfortable, warm and cozy setting on the lake with plenty of room for the kids to play in the snow.

The cabin was right on a lake with kayaks, paddle boards, and a canoe. The fire pit was located lakeside as well. It was beautiful and peaceful at all hours of the day. Our kids loved it! The house is clean and fully stocked. Perfect space for our family of six. Connections are spotty in the area which allowed us to more readily unplug from the world. Host was communicative and responsive to our questions and gave clear instructions for arrival and departure. Very happy with our decision to stay at this location! Highly recommend.

Great place! It’s small but was perfect for my husband and I. The grounds are absolutely beautiful and very well kept. How wonderful kayaks were available to use. We enjoyed using them on this beautiful lake. The lake is so crystal clear. And location was perfect. We were able to get around so easily. We only stayed 3 nights. We definitely will be back and will stay longer.

Mark & Wendy's cabin was exactly as pictured - cute & cozy! They were extremely responsive hosts and gave us great recommendations for things to do/places to eat in the area. I was curious if the cabin would be covered in dog hair/smell since they are allowed (which was wonderful for us, as we brought our puppy), but there were no signs of dogs other than some chewed up furniture. The lake access will be especially wonderful in the summer. We'd definitely stay there again!

We enjoyed our stay and it was very comfortable. The chair glide using the 23 or so steps was especially helpful to my handicap husband. Thank you.

My husband and I needed a last minute place to stay over the past weekend. We wanted to stay in the L’Anise area, since we have a friend that lives in the town, and this was the best option. The unit is clean, has an amazing view of Lake Superior and is very spacious. I was very impressed with the unit overall. I would gladly book again!

Beautiful, quiet place to get away from the city. We went kayaking, had a bonfire, watched movies, visited a friendly local bar, had large amounts of ice cream and visited Minocqua. We saw a bald eagle in a tree above their dock by the water!

Amy's stay was wonderful! The place looked exactly like the picture. Location was wonderful in the heart of downtown and very walkable to shops, restaurants, and more. Amy's instructions to get in and out were clear and simple. Lastly, she put in a very personal touch with checking in on our stay, which was appreciated. You won't go wrong with this stay!

Great for snowmobilers, about 1-2 blocks from direct access to trail 14 - no need to trailer. Room to park trailer and sleds. Close to fuel stop. Restaurants within walking distance, or off trail. Nice cozy and clean place, more room than typical hotel room with kitchen amenities.

We had a nice peaceful stay. The area is beautiful. We enjoyed using the paddle boat and fishing off the pier. We saw 3 deer, black squirrels and a grouse on our walks. Laura got back to us right away when we had any questions or concerns.

I stayed this past weekend for a funeral. And I’d come back! Granted, I’m from Kingsford so I know the area. But this place is a little jewel. They even had a fire pit, with pre cut wood. What a thoughtful amenity! The host was responsive/ property clean. Everything an Airbnb should be. Kudos! 🙌🏻👍🏻 All said, a couple of minor small observations. -Dust the dining room chairs, especially the rails. (I inspected hotel rooms for 20+ yrs.). ☺️🤷‍♂️ -That sliding door didn’t instill confidence. -An electronic lock with a code would be awesome. -T-mobile internet. ($55 per mth). We had an amazing time at Tracy’s place. We didn’t want to leave! The view was incredible, neighbors nearby but still had privacy, and close to downtown L’Anse if we needed anything. The fireplace and sauna added so much to our already relaxing stay. The layout and decor of the cabin was cute and perfect for the two of us. Tracy was great at communicating and checking to see if we needed anything without being overbearing. We definitely want to come for another stay at Rock Beach! Thank you so much, Tracy!

It was my first time in the UP for the winter! Dave’s place was the perfect spot for our day trips around the Keweenaw peninsula. On our way to L’Anse it started snowing and Dave checked to make sure we made it and to let us know they were going to plow the driveway in the morning. We would definitely stay there again.

We had a great stay! It snowed a lot while we were there, but the driveway was plowed and we had no trouble. Sauna was amazing! We enjoyed the large living room with plenty of seating for everyone. The kitchen was extremely well stocked and had everything we needed - including a toaster, a Keurig, and a can opener. My husband did have to learn to navigate a couple shorter doorways and the lower ceiling in the bedroom (he’s 6’5”), so something to be aware of if you are very tall. It was a very enjoyable stay.

Enjoyed a spectacular 4 day weekend with 3 generations at this beautiful property and would come back. For those who had concerns about the “stairs,” they are more like terraces and most can be avoided with a short detour. We enjoyed 2 fishing piers, kayaks, aluminum boat and the paddle boat. Highly recommended.

Kathy’s place is perfect for a north woods getaway. We snowmobiled, and even though there is no trail at the end of the driveway, there is a public boat launch that provides access to the chain of lakes just a couple of houses over and easy to get to. The place has everything you need and just the right amount of tucked away but still close to town. Kathy is nearby and willing to help with anything that comes up. 10/10

My wife and I; our 3 teenagers and our pup stayed at Cara’s place- Rowyns Resort main cabin and had a fabulous time. Easy to find. Remote but close to any amenities you need Short, pretty and easy drive to town- The home was very clean, bright and spacious. Great layout. Easily met our needs and large enough we could have had another family with us and been comfortable. Clean rooms. Comfortable furniture and beds. All the amenities and accoutrements you need on site. Hot water for shower/bath. The deck was fabulous looking over the water and watching wildlife. Fish from the shore or dock- The hot tub was perfect for relaxing and watching stars. The shared game room is great. Cozy and full of fun and games- We had the best time- Cara and team were very responsive to any need and ensured a great stay. Would highly recommend this property and property manager! Don’t miss this gem We can’t wait to go back in the summer and try another season!! Enjoy!
