We stayed at Kanthi’s place for 1.5 months It was our first time in Sri Lanka, and we’re so glad we chose this place. Kanti and her husband are truly kind and hospitable souls. Every week, Kanti prepared curry for us with incredible local vegetables. It remains the best meal we had in Sri Lanka. The room was cozy and always clean, with fresh towels and bed linen regularly provided by Kanti. She also helped with cleaning while we were away, and we never had to worry about leaving our belongings behind. The internet was stable enough to work remotely. This place allows you to reconnect with a simple life, free from excess, and find something truly important within yourself—silence and peace. A special thank you for the guitar, which we were allowed to keep upstairs for a whole month—thanks to that, my girlfriend composed several beautiful melodies. The room was exactly as advertised, clean, good location and everything you needed. It’s actually a very quiet street and location especially at night time while you’re trying to sleep. I didn’t hear any street noises. Akeesh and her family were absolutely wonderful, very caring and helpful. Unfortunately I became unwell while I was there and Akeesh kept checking in on me (via messages) to see if I was ok or needed anything, she brought me food and drinks and when I still didn’t get better took me to the doctor. I will be forever grateful for her hospitality and kindness. Prior to becoming sick I thought she was a great host but seeing her true character of being there for someone when you need them, she became a super host to me. I didn’t expect nor ask for her help she just offered. I would 100% recommend this beautiful little apartment with this lovely family just below

We have stayed in around 180 Airbnbs and this is stand out one of the best! THE most fully equipped property we have ever come across, with all sorts of unexpected items such as mosquito repellent coils, filtered water, cooking oils and first aid kit! Eva and her manager, Tharush were amazingly friendly and accommodating. 5 star service and facilties to match! Can't recommend this place enough.

넓고 깨끗하고 쾌적한 숙소였습니다. 해변과도 가까운 거리에 있었고 툭툭이 타기도 편했어요. 테라스도 있어서 야외 풍경 보면서 음식 먹기에도 좋은 집이었습니다. 다음에 갈레에 오면 또 머물고 싶네요. 추천드립니다!

Staying with Nalaka and his family was truly one of the best experiences we’ve had on our trip. From the very first moment, we didn’t just feel welcome, we felt like we were visiting old friends. They have such big hearts and were always there with a smile, a kind word, or a helping hand. The place itself was even more beautiful than the photos. Everything was super clean, peaceful, and surrounded by nature. But what made our stay unforgettable was the way Nalaka and his family treated us. We had so many lovely conversations, and it always felt like they genuinely cared about us and our experience. He also cooked for us a few times, and the food was honestly some of the best we had in Sri Lanka. So if you’re looking for a real, honest, and heartwarming Sri Lankan experience, not just a place to sleep, but a place to connect, then you should definitely book this Airbnb. We’ll always remember this stay, and we’re so grateful we got to meet Nalaka and his wonderful family.

We stayed at Sajeewa’s home for three weeks and could not recommend it enough. It’s spacious, comfortable and clean. The kitchen is sufficiently equipped to cook meals and save money on eating out. The gardens around the house are lush and invite lots of birds for watching in the early mornings. The balcony is such a highlight, it’s serene and peaceful, you could spend hours there chatting, working or simply staring into nature. Sajeewa and his family are so hospitable and very easy to communicate with, they made our stay feel very homely. Local shops are within walking distance and Weligama beach is a 20 minute walk at best. We would definitely stay with Sajeewa again if we’re back in Weligama.

Really lovely spacious apartment + VERY comfortable bed. Good spot in Ahangama - totally central and walking distance to the beach and bars/restaurants. Joanne and the guys in the Ice Cream parlour were so helpful. The little balcony also gets the afternoon/evening sun, so a nice spot to chill out. Highly recommend staying here xxx

Very friendly host! Had a good time. The accommodation is exactly between unawatuna and dewata beach. Big plus : waching machine and a fully equipped kitchen to cook!

Visited Lucid House with my girlfriend and two other friends. Lovely place for a small group. Everything was perfect. Located away from the town but not far away either. 2-3 minute drive to Secret Beach and 5 minute drive to the Ahangama Town.

Wor habem die Unterkunft für 6 Tage gemietet. Die Unterkunft ist sehr sauber und geräumig. Das Apartment verfügt über 2 Schlafzimmer mit Klimaanlage, 2 Badezimmer und einer kleinen Küche. Sie liegt in der Nähe des Zentrums von Mirissa. Das Zentrum ist auch zu Fuss (ca. 10 min) erreichbar. Die Familie, die das Apartment vermieten wohnen direkt unterhalb in einem eigenen Apartment. Die Gastgeber sind super freundlich. Dilukshi antwortet schnell auf Fragen. Sie hat uns auch Tuktuk Fahrer organisiert, wenn wir einen gebraucht haben. Alles war wie beschrieben und wir hatten eine tolle Zeit in Mirissa.

I recently had the pleasure of staying at an Airbnb hosted by Ruwan, and it was a delightful experience. Ruwan was an extremely warm and welcoming host, making us feel at home from the moment we arrived. The location was fantastic, within walking distance to both the beach and Coconut Tree Hill. The lush green property felt almost like staying in a forest, offering a serene environment. The breakfast provided was very good, with a variety of delicious options. The room was a bit small, but it didn't affect our comfort during the stay. Additionally, Ruwan offers to help plan activities in and around Mirissa, which could add a lot of value to your trip. Despite the minor detail about the room size, the stay had its positive aspects, particularly Ruwan's hospitality, the excellent breakfast, and the beautiful surroundings. This Airbnb is a great choice for travelers looking for a welcoming host and a beautiful location.

We stayed for 2 weeks at Gayans place, it looks exactly like the pictures with lots of space. The bed is really comfy and the shower has hot water although the pressure is low. Me and my boyfriend both work online, so the desks were great however 10GB of fibre internet was not enough for both of us to work for a full day You do need a bike for the location as there aren’t many restaurants in walking distance. We rented a different one because the bike provided had no mirrors I know this is a family home, however the owners were occasionally cleaning in the garden which made it feel a bit less private at times Overall, I would recommend Gayan’s place, it was great value for money and we had a lovely time in Weligama, thank you ☺️

We had a great stay at Bandula’s villa! Bandula was so helpful and friendly. The place was clean and perfectly located. We would 100% stay here again if we came back to Sri Lanka

Wir hatten einen fantastischen Aufenthalt in Kumbalgama und haben unsere Zeit dort sehr genossen. Kalsara und seine Eltern waren jederzeit erreichbar und halfen gerne mit Tipps. Sie haben sogar einmal für uns gekocht, sodass wir uns sehr heimische gefühlt haben. Lediglich der Lärm von der Straße ist ein kleiner Wermutstopfen, wofür jedoch der Gastgeber nichts kann.

Had a fantastic stay at amani’s place! It was clean, cozy, and well-equipped with everything I needed. The location was perfect, close to beach, and the host was incredibly friendly and responsive. Check-in was smooth, and the space felt like a home away from home. Highly recommend and would definitely stay again!

Great little oasis in Weligama, Ananda and his wife Malika were very hospitable. The unit was spacious and had all the amenities one could need, including washing machine, bicycle, cooking utensils, and even hot water in the shower. They also have a small convenience store attached to their home so anything you need is easily available. And especially enjoyed the breakfasts they kindly made for me during my short stay. Would have loved to stay longer if I had more time, hope to be back soon!

We stayed at Sanjayas place for four nights. The family was super kind and helped us with local advice such as restaurants and must-sees close by. They arranged transport to the house and again when we left. Their hospitality was warm and made us feel welcome. We would definitly recommend this place to others.

A perfect stay with a lovely family as hosts. Right from the booking to the day of check-in and beyond, Chanuka was very proactive in checking on us, recommending modes of travel, nearby restaurants, and everything! We had a warm welcome by Chanuka's father with a refreshing welcome drink who showed us around the place and offered assistance anytime. Just as a family member would, he advised us to be careful while stepping out at night, offered to cook food, made us feel very welcome and right at home. Meeting and interacting with Chanuka and his lovely family was truly a pleasure. Mango House 1 is just perfect in every aspect with every facility available for a comfortable stay, and is maintained very well with great personal attention. We were even offered an authentic Sri Lankan breakfast and it was super delicious and healthy. I gladly 100% recommend Chanuka's Mango House 1 as the best place to stay in Galle for a loving memory to cherish always!

We absolutely loved our stay in this special Bohemian apartment within the charming walls of Galle Fort. It felt like we had stepped back in time to a slower-paced life where charming daily traditions still occur. Think, ‘bread men’ driving around the streets twice a day in their tuk-tuks, playing music to alert residents/customers of their arrival. This tradition ceased in Australia more than fifty five years ago. The apartment has two balconies where we experienced squirrels, paddy birds, monkeys and a peacock. The apartment is over 300 years old and is very special. The architecture within Galle Fort is simply beautiful. We felt like we were in Europe without the tourists. The hosts, Ranjit and Monnina, were generous and welcoming and added to the overall enjoyment of our stay. We definitely hope to stay in this unique and charming home again.

Nihal and Chandra are the most heartwarming and caring hosts we’ve ever had on our travels! From the moment we arrived, they took incredible care of us. We unfortunately had an accident and some health issues during our stay, and they went above and beyond to help us in every possible way. Their kindness, generosity, and genuine hospitality made all the difference. On top of that, the accommodation itself was fantastic. So much space, a fully equipped private kitchen, and without a doubt, the best shower in Sri Lanka – with great water pressure and consistent hot water. If we could give more than 5 stars, we’d give 12! An absolutely perfect stay, and we are beyond grateful.

Very worth for the price! Easy to walk to nearby beaches and cafes. Definitely hard to sleep in at all since the road gets quite loud with busses honking. The house is next to the forest/jungle so there are many small bugs like ants in the bathroom and sometimes the bedroom but it’s not so bad, just something to be aware of. The power went out a few times during our stay but apparently that’s pretty normal for this region especially if it is raining. Overall would still recommend for good location and price. Padma was able to do our laundry as well for a small fee
