Perfect place if you want a peaceful place to stay at. Sandakphu peak is 1 day trek (~14 kms) away from this place. Ideal if you want to go to Sandakphu from an offbeat route. The hosts are very helpful. The food provided at the stay was delicious.

The place is very nice with beautiful view. We thought it would be a very cold place but apparently not. Our 9 months old boy enjoyed the place a lot, seeing greens and having fresh air on morning walk, swam in the river with cool water, etc. The host, Anuj and Deepika (Pabitra's family), were very helpful and responsive to our concerns and their daughter was very fun when play with our baby, felt like family.

One of the highlights of our stay was the delectable Nepali cuisine served at the farm. Every meal was a culinary delight, showcasing fresh ingredients sourced from the surrounding area. The authentic flavors and hearty portions left me craving for more. However, it was not just the food that left a lasting impression; the staff's attentiveness and friendliness truly enhanced the overall experience. Whether it was taking us to the local market or simply engaging in casual conversation, their genuine hospitality made us feel right at home.

I recently had the pleasure of staying at Palighar, and I must say it was an incredibly rejuvenating experience. The comfort and warmth of the place made me feel right at home. What I needed most was a break from the hustle and bustle of city life, and Palighar provided just that. The peaceful surroundings and serene atmosphere were the perfect antidote to the chaos and noise of urban living. What truly made my stay special was the exceptional hospitality of Ahana and Kabir, my hosts. They went above and beyond to ensure I had a memorable experience, even taking me on a visit to a nearby monastery. Their kindness and generosity were truly heartfelt. The food, expertly prepared by Sanjay bhaiya, was delicious and homely, adding to the overall warmth of my stay. If you're looking for a tranquil retreat to unwind and rejuvenate, Palighar is a must-visit destination. I wholeheartedly recommend it.

Slightly difficult to find in the dark (directions need to mention the tyre shop) but once we were there we had a lovely warm welcome. The house and room were beautifully decorated and very comfortable. Had noodles and momos from a nearby dhaba which was nice. Overall a wonderful stay and so convenient for the airport.

Review from my wife. Staying with Rigyal and his family was an experience I’ll cherish forever. From the moment we arrived, they made us feel like part of their family. Rigyal went above and beyond, carefully crafting an itinerary tailored to our interests, making our journey smooth and unforgettable. The food was nothing short of amazing—Aunty’s thukpa (thentuk), Tshering’s Shapta and Tingmo, and Uncle's momos, all prepared with love and attention to detail. Uncle patiently tried to teach me how to fold momos, though I didn't quite succeed. Tshering felt like a little sister—organized, warm, and effortlessly joyful, making us feel right at home from the start. Aunty and Uncle’s kindness, along with our many heartfelt conversations, made us feel truly welcome. And, of course, the playful dogs—Gompo, Shindu, and the puppy—added extra warmth to our stay. Thank you, Rigyal and family, for making this trip so special. I can't wait to return!

Kalimpong Village Retreat, tucked in Kalimpong's serene Iche village, is a hidden haven run by the warm and attentive Siddharth and Suprina. The retreat, reached by a gentle walk past paddy fields, is surrounded by colorful marigolds, azaleas, and a bountiful garden of bananas, avocados, turmeric, and more. Meals here are authentic and flavorful, made with locally sourced ingredients, from Sel Roti to tree tomato chutney—Nepali cuisine at its finest. Siddharth and Suprina's care, alongside their hardworking neighbor, Anita (“Bhauju”), makes every moment feel like home. Adding charm is Brownie, their lovable dog, who becomes an instant friend. Siddharth’s close-knit community ties ensure all needs are met, from evening transport to local recommendations, despite the secluded setting. For anyone seeking an escape from city life, Kalimpong Village Retreat offers a soulful, peaceful stay with heartfelt hospitality. I left rejuvenated, grateful, and eager to return to this special place.

This place was a beautiful blend of traditional and modern aspects. You get to stay in a beautiful countryside in traditional Sikkimese tribal cottages, go hiking in the nearby village, but also unwind in a restobar with great food and live music. The host, the staff and even the other guests made us feel so warm and welcome. We strongly recommend this place to anyone who wants to experience a blissful rural life.

This is a beautiful serene place to stay with great coffee and great views of the Himalayas. Our accommodation was clean, private and secure. Sarah is a wonderful host and nothing is too much trouble. We highly recommend this place.

For peace and quiet, this is the place to be. The hosts are warm and very helpful. They even helped with transport and suggestions for local sightings. Do not miss out on their home cooked meals!
