Kate's place was a fabulous place to stay with my doggo. One of the most generously well-equipped kitchen's I've experienced, super comfortable beds, warm and homely and a stunning view across the lake! Kate is a wonderfully warm and kind host, easy and responsive communication. I highly recommend Kate's place and will definitely stay again.

We love this place so much that it’s our 4th visit. Waking up to the splendour of Mt Roland, or having a spa under the stars with the silhouette of Mt Roland as a backdrop is hard to top! Not to speak of the forest, the wildlife, the local town of Sheffield with its great cafes and art galleries and of course the murals too! If you like books and music and DVDs you will find plenty around the Airbnb! We’ll be back next year for sure! Oh and Dom is just delightful and full of local knowledge.

We chose to stay at Nina's because our friends were vetting engaged nearby. What a good find this accommodation turned out to be! The view from Nina's is magical, particularly if you watch the sunrise. The house itself was clean and tidy. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay.

Very interesting place to stay with fascinating and well thought out decorations. Lots of special touches, cocktails on arrival, bread maker, ground coffee ready to go, old fashioned bath. Enjoyed an old fashioned pub meal at Hotel Bischoff next door, saw platypus in the lake and a wonderful walk to Philosopher Falls in misty conditions which felt like we were in a Lord of the Rings movie.

This place is absolutely amazing. I would highly recommend staying here. Beautiful courtyard, with amazing views of the bay while sitting around the fire pot. Inside the house is amazing. It’s so clean, very well laid out and the bed is soooo comfy. Loved waking up, opening the automatic blinds to looking out over the bay. I would definitely come back and stay here again. 10/10

We loved staying at Anna's place and would thoroughly recommend it. Anything you needed was there. The plants inside and out were beautiful....Anna certainly knows what she's doing in the garden. We had a couple of minor issues (blind and handwash not working) - both were sorted out immediately by Anna. The house was extremely comfortable inside and out...the furniture on the deck was perfect and the views were lovely.

Good little place to stay, very easy to find and easy to access. Helpful amenities and hot water. Christopher sent a helpful message about the area. Prewarning there is only a small roadside petrol station - so bring groceries if needed! But really good place to stay.

Andy and Sal were fabulous hosts! The accommodation was outstanding. The hosts have gone out of their way to make this place unique, private and comfortable. Their personal touch in detail made our stay very enjoyable. Coffee, bread, cerral and drinks were all made available. The bed was so comfortable and the shower was amazing. Comfortable and cosy this place is truly a gem in Smithton. I highly recommend this accommodation. Can't wait until we visit again!

We recently had the pleasure of staying at this remarkable property for two nights, and it was an experience we won't soon forget. From the moment we arrived, we were greeted by the serene ambiance and breathtaking surroundings. The private jetty was a standout feature, offering the perfect spot to unwind and relax and enjoy the fishing. We spent evenings gathered around the fire pit, listening to music with the outdoor speakers under the starry sky – a truly magical experience. The well-appointed kitchen was a delight for anyone who enjoys cooking. It had everything we needed to prepare delicious meals, and we appreciated the high-quality appliances and thoughtful touches throughout. The bed was exceptionally comfortable, providing a restful night's sleep and we enjoyed stunning views from almost every room in the house! Highly recommend.!

The farm is set in one of the most idyllic settings I have ever seen, comparable perhaps to parts of Norway or New Zealand. Susan and Frank's garden is a little piece of paradise, full of fruit trees, gazebos, chickens and lush lawns. The cottage is extremely private and fully equipped. Everything worked, including the wifi. Wynyard is only 15 minutes away. The location was perfect as a base for day trips across North West Tasmania. We wanted for nothing and we were really sad to go home after 5 days. Many thanks to Susan and Frank for being kind and generous hosts. We have already recommended the farm as a perfect getaway to all of our friends.

The most beautiful home and location!! We ended up just walking around the area because we did not want to leave. What a treat to end our vacation here. This home is like checking into a 5* resort with all the amenities provided. Just wish we had longer than 2 days.

It was a good location which was close to fishing spots. The house was spacious yet super cosy and it had great amenities. It was only a 15min drive to the pub/cafe at Tarraleah which had great wine. Unfortunately the pub down the road has limited opening hours and was closed during our stay. I would definitely recommend this place for a getaway with family or friends. The family also loved it.

Comfortable and clean accommodation in a serene, rural setting. We really enjoyed our stay.

Cozy cottage and peaceful surrounds. The cottage is beautifully furnished and offers picturesque views of Lettes Bay. Situated a few minutes away from the Strahan township but an easy quick drive. Check-in was easy and Lee, the host, was prompt, clear and helpful with any questions.

A wonderful cottage, in character with its name and tranquil location. A slight mishap with the cleaning on arrival but the hosts got onto it straight away and were very professional about it. The ducks were a highlight. We would definitely come back to the Artist’s Cottage.
