Lovely young family, cozy cabin, and very accommodating hosts!

A cute cottage with everything you need for a few peaceful days away. Waking up to the view was spectacular! Good locatio , just a few minutes drive to cafes and Lake Matheson. Would recommend.

Our stay at this beautiful and modern retreat was unforgettable. Thoughtful touches like a bottle of Prosecco and chocolates made us feel welcome from the start. The large windows offered breathtaking views, from a stunning sunrise to a sky full of stars and the Milky Way at night. Though we didn’t use the outdoor bath due to the weather, the provided robes and slippers were a nice touch. With its privacy, comfort, and incredible scenery, this is a perfect spot for a romantic getaway. Plus, it’s just an hour from the Hooker Valley Track—an ideal base for exploring. Highly recommended!

Beautiful view! The hut is super clean.

We had a fantastic 2 night stay at David’s place with our dog in March. It is very remote so take all that you need with you. The cabin has beautiful views of the mountains and the night sky from the hot tub was amazing. Take repellent for the sand flies, there were also lots of bees and wasps at the time of year we went. We didn’t want to leave and will certainly return.

This is a great place to stay. So comfortable and so private - a short walk to the most amazing beach - all the comforts of home and a hot tub! Amazing sunset views from the comfort of your own veranda. Would highly recommend.

A great place, set in a lovely riverside garden. Very well thought out indoor and outdoor spaces. Spotlessly clean with quality fixtures and fitting. Lots of extras provided, bottle of wine & marshmallows for toasting on the fire pit a great welcome. Unfortunately we arrived on 2 extremely wet days (200mm rain forecast), so didn't get to use the kayaks or outdoor spaces. oh well, maybe next time... Thanks for a lovely stay.

A lovely little air bnb in a quiet location surrounded by pine trees. Communication was a great and David and Toni couldn’t have been more helpful having the fire and bath ready before our arrival Keeping firewood stocked and providing local recommendations! The place was lovely and clean and a comfortable bed made for a great couples night away!

Stunning quiet location, very warm and cozy, great shower pressure and absolutely loved the pool table! Didn’t miss having a tv at all - lovely to be off-grid for a change. Huge deck which is all covered and would’ve been great if it was raining! But we had beautiful weather so also had no issues with solar power. Felt very lucky to be able to have our dogs with us. They had the best time too. Thanks so much, we had a great couple of nights.

We had a magical stay at Lake Hut, so calm and peaceful, great walks to the lake where our dogs had a ball running in and out of the water and adventuring. The outdoor bath under the stars was bliss and the indoor fire kept us very warm. Lisa is an excellent host and very quick to reply to all questions. we will definitely book again thank you very much for our stay.

Wonderful stop at the edge of the woods on our drive through the farmland of Canterbury region. Our stay was short but had everything we needed. It was a rainy afternoon when we checked in and the hosts had started a fire for us so it was ready upon our arrival. We cooked our own dinner in the well-appointed kitchen (grabbing groceries in Methven before arriving), and enjoyed reading the books that were stocked in the cabin about quintessential life in NZ. Rams and horses grazed in the field just beyond and there is a bath tub for unwinding after a long day on the road. Bed was super comfortable. We really felt like we were staying at a friends place. It was a real slice of local life.

definitely among one of the most beautiful and interesting places i have been. the hosts were so friendly and kind. property was supr cool and had a really uniqe and fun vibe. it was a short ride to get to town and they gave great recommendations. would love to stop in again and get to know the hosts more, they seemed so interesting. the other guests at the property were really lovely to talk with and interesting as well. enjoying a meal with the view of the ocean was exceptional! cant wait to go back!

James was a great host, very helpful and even gave us an upgrade. The setting was great and next to an incredible beach. Bostin!

Basic but cozy! The cabins are really near Arthur’s Pass National Park and we enjoyed the easy access to hikes. Beds were comfy with warming blankets and the hot shower works don’t expect too much! Fireplace if it gets cold but we used the space heater instead. Kitchen had a mini fridge, hob, microwave, kettle, toaster, and even an air fryer, BYO food you’ll be well sorted. Water was tasty. No issues with the train and road noise, you will hear the rumbling/whooshing for sure but whether it bothers you is really up to personal tolerance. Google maps will take you right here, slow down and watch out for the big Alpine Huts signage.

Stunning spot to take a pause from day to day life! Beautiful, quiet, has all the essentials and more! The sauna and outdoor shower were lush! Great communication and recommendations but ended up spending the whole weekend chilling out at the cabin 😇 will be back 🙌🏼

This place was ideal for my writing retreat. It had everything I needed and was very comfortable. Having a writing desk and a proper computer chair was a real bonus and meant I could get on with my work and not end up with back ache. Lovely barn eggs and milk left for me too. I already am thinking about when I can come again! Thank you so much for everything!

Had a great stay - the accomodation was well appointed, modern and obviously surrounded by stunning views. Great spot to use as a base for hikes around the area. It was slightly less remote than we anticipated but because of the design of the house, this wasn’t an issue. Would recommend.

A unique getaway for those who want an off grid like experience. Right by Arthur's Pass tracks so you are out the door immediately. We had such a wonderful time at this place.

Just loved our one night stay at Petes place. Every little detail at this place was well thought. Really appreciate the Zero waste mechanism put in place, the heated floors and centralized heated place. We had a cozy and warm stay. highly recommend if you want to take a night halt at Arthur pass. There are multiple walking tracks around and the drive around Arthur Pass is beautiful.

Peaceful little shack in a quiet neighborhood. Perfect for our week stay in Christchurch. Lesley was very helpful and always responsive. Would definitely stay again.
