If you're looking for 'country cool' this is the real deal. Kath & Dan are an inspiration if you want to understand what it means to live WITH nature. We missed them and their wonderful environment the moment we left.

The pictures of the listing do not do it justice! It was the perfect place to return to after hiking. The host helped us set up the wood fire for the hot tub and showed us all the little touches around the property. We bathed under a clear sky with a bright moon and many stars. The home was beautiful and full of indoor plants that are thriving. The outdoor patio was cute and cozy. They also baked us bread and it was delicious! Best way to describe how I feel about the Airbnb is that I could definitely live there!

Twizel is the perfect place to access Mount Cook and this airbnb is amazing for four people with two separate cottages providing plenty of space and privacy. The grounds are spacious and the herb garden was a great addition to the many meals we prepared. The location is on a very quiet street but you can quickly get to shopping in town. The beds were very comfy and the outdoor tub was absolutely wonderful. Amy was so thoughtful decorating the place for the holidays. We had a blast! I would definitely stay here again and highly recommend it to others!

We had a wonderful stay at Caitlin's charming cottage after our long journey of more than 30 hours. The house is situated in a peaceful, natural setting, surrounded by friendly chickens and sheep at the doorstep. Everything we needed was provided in the house. Thank you, Caitlin!

This was a great base for a couple days fishing in the Lewis Pass area. The house is set back from the road and has a nice garden and outdoor area. The kitchen living area works really well, is light and spacious and I imagine in colder months the woodburner will made it really cosy. Great wifi. We were surprised to find that the store/cafe is currently closed, the petrol station open 0800 to 1700 and the Maruia Springs resort restaurant now only serves their accomodation guests so make sure you take food/drinks supplies for your stay. Kim a great host.

A modern, light, airy and spacious cottage that was perfect for our two night stay while we explored the Mount Cook area. The cottage had everything we needed and was a quick drive to a supermarket and some nice restaurants in Twizel. Would definitely stay again and. 100% recommend.

We planned our South Island itinerary around this bach’s availability after friends recommended it - and are so glad we did. It is a gorgeous, retro, unique Kiwi experience! We thoroughly enjoyed our two nights here. We did the caving/rafting/glow worm tour by Underworld Adventures 10 min up the road in Charleston - highly recommend - and then enjoyed chilling out at the Bach. The bath - with a glass of red watching the sunset and the waves crash on the rocks - was extra special, and the washer/dryer an unexpected bonus. We also appreciated the screens on the windows, a rare and wonderful thing in NZ!

Exceeded expectations. Accurately described. Full kitchen which allowed member of party with severe feed allergies to cook his own food. Spotless and lots of space. Corinne and Stefan are great hosts. Would stay again without hesitation.

We really enjoyed our stay, close to town but out country enough that you didnt have all the noise's of the city. The cottage was really well designed and comfortable, needed to stay longer.... maybe next time.

Stayed here with my 2 best friends for a quick overnighter to get away from the city life. We loved this little hut so much! It had everything we needed and the bush walk nearby was really cool. I’ll definitely be back.
