We made a huge mistake when only booking this place for part of our stay. My thought was to jump around the South Island with my family at a couple stops. Had I known it was this awesome, then I would’ve booked our whole time at Anna’s. This place is exactly what my family loves. The kids will definitely be complaining about where we stay next. This property is AWESOME.

Sally's place was cosy and comfortable with plenty of room available for the four of us to spread out.... at long last! ( a rare thing in NZ accommodations). Even a fire had been set in the slow combustion fireplace. Lovely touch. Welcoming. Splendid outlook.

Diese Unterkunft ist ein Refugium, sehr privat und voller schöner Dinge zum entdecken. Hier können sich alle - von Groß bis Klein - wohlfühlen. Es hat uns allen viel Spaß gemacht, z.B. die Glühwürmchenhöhle zu entdecken, während eines Bades im Pool die Sterne zu beobachten oder am Bach nach Gold zu schürfen und die Flusskrebse zu beobachten. Unser Highlight war eine persönliche Führung durch den Wald auf den Pfaden der früheren Goldsucher und zur Goldmine. Wir zum Land und zur Geschichte sowie der Natur viel gelernt. Fran und Grant waren tolle Gastgeber. Ebenfalls können wir den Tip zum Besuch der Carew Falls absolut weiterempfehlen. Der Weg ist einfach und der Wasserfall sowie die Aussicht sind unglaublich lohnenswert.

Calm, cozy, quiet, and overall lovely stay at the Black House. Has everything you would need for a couple nights stay. Beautiful view of mountains and lake from the table in front. Great location, less than 10 mins walk into town. And noticeably good water pressure!

The house is beautiful and looks exactly like the photos. It’s clean, with a lovely surrounding area. I would definitely visit again

Great accommodation for our needs!

Nice and clean. Just that we had a shock when we see there are other people in the house and other car when we return. Just to realize they are not able to access other part of house other than the studio room they are in. The studio room is in the same house, just that its door to the main house is locked and it has its own entrance. The listing did clearly list out that a studio room is attached. Just that we never expect that studio room is part of the house, not any externally link unit. Anywhere, the house is great. We just have to keep our volume down not to affect our “neighbour”.

A fabulous home and each room having a bathroom was a real bonus. Very easy instructions for our stay, the home was very clean and a handy location to the shops, restaurants and lake. Highly recommend

We loved Vic and Steve’s place, and only wished we had been able to stay here longer! The house was immaculate when we arrived and more than enough space for the four of us. The views of Lake Tekapo are incredible, and it’s a short walk down to the lakeside. Would highly recommend!

Loved my stay at Rachael’s place! It was clean, comfortable, and in a great location. The host was friendly and responsive, making everything super easy. Highly recommend and would definitely stay again!

This was a beautiful apartment to stay in. Devon was very helpful in all ways which we greatly appreciated. She communicated well and responded promptly with anything we enquired about. We loved being able to walk everywhere and discover nearby restaurants and cafes as well as not being too far to walk into town. All in all a very relaxed couple of days.

What great hosts. Best airbnb ever. Absolutely loved this home away from home. Justine and Baz had thought of everything. It would have been very easy to stay in and just enjoy the view and surroundings. The furnishing paid attention to every detail, the bed to die for, all the appliances A+, the outdoor relaxing and bbq facilities excellent. The tea,coffee and breakfast cereal an excellent choice. Relaxing at night on a big luxurious couch with great TV and internet, after riding our bikes all day was just another plus. I could just go on and on. It was just awesome far better than any 5 star+ hotel or motel. Can't wait to return when the locals finish the biking/walking track around the lake. thank you again Jill and Kevin.

Such a lovely cozy house! I thought it's a bit pricy but after staying there for 2 nights, I've changed my mind. It's 100% worth the price. The place is spacious, 3 mins walk to the lake front, apart from the busy area but still in a walking distance.

Just a short scenic drive from Fairlie. Beautiful setting with a expansive view of the rolling hills. House is large and well furnished with a designers touch. Place was very clean and very private. Had a wonderful stay. Thank you.

Jana and Sean's place was quaint, idyllic, private and just what we needed to decompress. I would stay here longer if I could. The place was spacious and very well equipped if you intend to self-serve your meals (highly recommend since Twizel doesn't have much offerings). And the starlight window in the main bedroom was just lovely. On a clear night, the entire sky is lit up with stars. Beautiful! And the efforts Jana and Sean made to the entire compound to ensure it felt rustic I think paid off. We encountered lots of wildlife just outside our cabin - hares, local birds, etc. Some might find the hot tub a little exposed but that is really up to the individual I'd say. Jana and Sean put up a good privacy screen for it, which was a really lovely touch.

Excellent accommodation with fantastic views Very clean and you can tell it has been well cared for. Lovely hosts and Siimin provided great recommendations with excellent knowledge of the area. We did a stargazing experience with Kathy and as it was just the two of us in the accommodation it was made personalised to us. The experience was absolutely brilliant. Kathy has so much passion for the subject and is a very talented teacher. I would highly recommend doing this experience as it has been one of our highlights of our trip to NewZealand! Thanks again for a brilliant stay!

Perfect little house to accommodate our group and dog with fully fenced section. Use of the BBQ was great! Just had to pay at the tip to take the rubbish but it’s not that much Will definitely be back :)

Beautiful lakefront cottage with incredible views and a quiet and private location. This home is older but clean and well-maintained. There is no central heat or AC but the space heaters were effective. The host provided lots of information about activities. The house is located about 35-45 minutes to Mount Cook National Park and Lake Tekapo, 7 minutes from Lake Pukaki retreat (stargazing) and 15-20 minutes from Twizel with shopping and restaurants. The house was larger than expected with 4 twin and 1 larger (queen or king?) bed. Checkin was easy, kitchen was well-equipped and our stay was great.

A lovely spot in the countryside to wait out the weather during our fishing trip of the South Island. The doggies loved the fenced section too!
