This house is wonderful. It is attractive, with a magnificent view of the water, peaceful, well appointed. It would be perfect for two couples with some kids. While it could certainly sleep more, that would mean using the futon and would likely be a bit crowded. The included kayaks and paddle boards would be a huge plus in warmer weather; unfortunately in late march it was a bit too chilly to entice me out onto the water. The place is about 15 minutes from Gig Harbor. The airport is an hour to hour and a half away, depending on the traffic. Seattle is accessible by ferry with the dock only 15 minutes away. There is a fast ferry for foot passengers that goes directly downtown. Or, if you want to bring the car, the ferry goes to West Seattle. Melissa is very responsive. We would love to go back.

Beautiful and convenient location for our Victoria trip. Lake view and private dock was a bonus. We went during Thanksgiving so we appreciated the view and hot tub. Only complaint was the very limited cooking pans and pots

This place is magical! I truly felt like I was on a vacation where I could just stay put and not leave the property whatsoever. The views are to die for and the marine life was sublime! Hope to come back again. I took my 20 something daughters and they both felt the same way. They kayaked and were kids again examining all the seashells, crabs, etc.

I can’t say enough positive things about Michael and Jennifer’s home. It’s rare to find an Airbnb that exceeds expectations, and this one absolutely does! Beautiful home, gorgeous scenery. Exceptionally well stocked, especially in the kitchen. The hot tub was a huge hit for sunrises and late night star watching. The outdoor “toy” trailer with bikes, kayaks, etc was incredible and had something for everyone. They even had seasonally decorated for the fall season. This was such a special stay, one that we will remember for a lifetime. Thank you!

The cabin was even more impressive in person. I don't think the pictures give it justice! GPS led us to a road that is no longer in service but it was easy to turn around and figure it out. There are neighbors but they were very friendly. There were fresh flowers and a hand written thank you card!! The kitchen was well stocked with plenty of options for dishes, cookware, and spices. My kids and I enjoyed the nicely stocked coffee/cocoa station! We took the row boats out with the life jackets and paddles. Jay even had extra pairs of rubber boots and outerwear in the garage in case you forgot to bring yours! He left us with plenty of firewood and his yard was very spacious for my kids to enjoy when the tide was in. Tons of oysters and crabs and im sure clams. Great spot with great views!! I definitely recommend!!!

I visited and stayed in cottage 5 in June 2023. Recently, I was lucky enough to get the same cottage, it was really nice to experience the lake during winter season this time in February 2025. Jason and Elaine did a great job of keeping it clean. Me and my husband tried canoeing, and we got drifted away. The hosts were very quick in driving all the way and helping us get back safe to the Airbnb. Elaine also taught me fishing 🎣. It was a lovely visit 😊 Highly recommended for everyone.

I cannot say enough wonderful things about our stay with Lynna and Dennis. The cottage was just as described, just steps from the waterfront and we enjoyed the private beaches and daily kayaking excursions from the dock. What a peaceful, beautiful and relaxing spot. My only regret is that we could not stay longer.... but we will, next time. Lynna provided very helpful instructions ahead of time about the ferry and reservations. The cottages are both charming and fully-equipped, very clean and everything was as-written. There are plenty of restaurants to choose from, both in Westsound (a few) and more options in Eastsound and beyond. I'd highly recommend, and we're already planning our next trip back.

I LOVED this place-- I wish I could stay forever! It has everything you could ever need-- cookware, utensils, blankets, towels, some panty staples, dog & kid items, firewood, kayaks, boats, lifejackets, lots of games, puzzles, and even a pair of birdwatching binoculars! I saw many eagles, osprey, owls, canadian geese, and lots of other cute wildlife. It feels very cozy & private. Soooo quiet and peaceful. There are large windows and stunning nature views everywhere you look! There is a daybed that is surrounded by huge windows on 3sides-- the perfect little nook to enjoy nature while staying warm & dry indoors. We had a lot of fun going out on the lake and exploring with the provided kayaks & peddle boat. We played many games and never once needed to take out our computers or phones for screen entertainment, but I did work remotely & the WiFi is great! I stayed here for a week during a move transition from out of state, and it was the perfect introduction to Washington. Thank you!

I wasn’t expecting to be so close to other people on the property however it was still very peaceful and enjoyable. The views were pleasant and the cottage itself was very cozy and quaint.

We loved our stay at Willow Cottage. The house was cozy and warm, the location was fantastic and Jennifer was incredibly friendly. Our family of four visited in late December and had a wonderful time reading by the fire, watching movies, hiking Turtleback Mountain, cooking and doing all the fun local activities. It was also a great place for our dog. We wondered whether the wifi would be strong enough to watch movies, but aside from a little pixelation, it was totally fine. We'd return in a heartbeat!

we like to come uo to Sequim to get away when we come home to visit from overseas and Beverly's place was exactly what we needed. Very peaceful while not super remote. loved sitting outside and listening to the ocean at night. unfortunately didn't have the energy to venture to the hot tub but the next time we stay we will be sure to give it a try! 10/10 would recommend this or Any of their properties

Gil and Sue made us feel so welcome during our winter stay. The cabin was beautiful, cozy, and had everything you needed to relax inside and watch a movie, cook a big meal, or stay in bed and look up at the stars. Every morning we would make a coffee and go sit on the beach and watch the eagles and sea lions, it was extremely peaceful for the two of us and our dog. There are kayaks to use but we weren’t brave enough to use them in December. You’re walking distance to many trails and the general store is open everyday and well stocked. The bedroom loft is phenomenal, definitely a highlight, just keep in mind like any loft it’s up a slightly narrow spiral staircase but Gil and Sue have put automatic lights in for when you need to go up and down in the middle of the night which was great. We can’t wait to come back for another relaxing stay here!

Great location and beautiful property, would definitely go back!

Our stay was incredible!! The area is beautiful. The house was exactly as described. Very clean!! The house is furnished with more than is listed, supply wise is, bug spray/bear spray, etc. which I appreciated!! A restful, peaceful visit while we are traveling south alaska celebrating our 40th wedding anniversary. As a photographer, I took many photos of the property, the lake and even the auroras. The sunrises and sunsets were amazing!! There was a young moose that came up one evening. I went out later to check if he’d come back. He had not, but that’s when I saw the lights!! Two years ago we were in alaska, and paid big $$$ to be flown above the Arctic circle to see the lights. The free ones here were much better, more vivid. So look up when you come. We never even considered we would be able to see them. We would definitely book again with Peter!! Fantastic host.

I’ve stayed in a lot of Airbnbs and this was one of the best! The views were amazing, the kids loved the kayaks each morning. The wildlife on the water was stunning. Would love to stay here again

If I could give this place 10 Stars I would. Jake and Kim ended up getting us in last minute because our other Airbnb had some issues. Things were looking pretty bleak but they came through and saved our vacation. While I didn't get a chance to really do any exploring since we were doing some skiing and ended up getting in while it was dark. What I did see of the river was awesome. I'll definitely be coming back with our extended family in the summertime to take advantage of the area. The place is quiet clean and comfortable. and the hot tub was a lifesaver after a hard day of skiing. Really hard to get out of 😅

Rudy’s Cabin was absolutely charming, as was the location and the hosts. Even the dog was super friendly. We loved our stay in this beautiful and peaceful setting.

Can’t say enough great things about this home. My family really enjoyed our spring break stay on the lake. There were no details missed to having a comfortable stay. The hot tub and sauna were great after a family paddle with the kayaks. There are abundant linens for water activities. We really enjoyed the wood stove inside on the cooler nights. Thanks for the great stay.

Cant begin to say enough great things about what a wonderful trip this home and Lake Cavanaugh was. If you’re looking for a quiet peaceful getaway with an amazing home on a pristine lake , this is your home . Looking forward to coming back.

We loved the cabin. It is in an awesome location with beach access across the street and a trail that leads to more things to do. We enjoyed the hot tub, the games, the fire pit, and the front porch. The kitchen was thoughtfully laid out and easy to use even in the small space.

The cabin has an amazing view and is very very clean. The kitchen is very well stocked with cookware and other cooking necessities. Lots of thoughtful touches like bespoke soap, flowers on the bed, tennis racquets, dvds, various canoes/paddle boards, and romantically decorated. Heat pump for heat and AC along with an electric fireplace made for a very comfortable stay. It's a perfect getaway for a couple.
