We have stayed at Little Springfield a number of times now and it never disappoints. As soon as we pull into paddock to park our car, we feel at home. Lesley and Martin are such attentive hosts and nothing is ever too much trouble. That is why we love staying at Little Springfield and always look forward to our next stay.

I have so many great things to say, so to keep it short I'll bullet point. - Great location/community - Private - Friendly and responsive hosts - Clear instructions and tour - Clean and comfortable - Felt very welcomed - Also a bonus of a cat that sounds like a sheep :) Planning to go again, later this year. Would highly recommend

What a lovely escape this was! We had everything we needed for a cosy night in, before exploring the nearby coastline the next day. A great little gem and we were very happy with the well thought out set up.

Absolutely incredible place. Very peaceful and scenic and provided with everything we could have needed. Wonderful hosts, would love to stay again.

Lovely setting - very peaceful and private - peacocks, geese and a cat were there to greet us most days. Stephen was a great host and explained everything clearly and was very helpful. The place was compact but had everything we needed for our stay and was exactly as described and very clean. Asda Express within walking distance. Great location for accessing other parts of Cornwall - we ventured to Perranporth/Newquay which was around 40 mins. Also Tintagel Castle was around 25 mins. We would stay again. Thank you.

Last minute Valentine get away with our two dogs. Despite pretty grim weather, you couldn't have wished to be anywhere cosier. Surprisingly spacious and everything you could think of, provided for a weekend away. Basic breakfast foods provided and of course Juliet's famous delicious short bread and doggie welcome treats.Private garden space adjoining a wood and secure field. Dogs roamed and played freely and safety. Bring lots of dog towels if you expect rain. Lovely shower in the cabin. Very well designed compost in a separate cabin. We kept close for dog exercise but there seems plenty of options for walking.. especially to pub...It's between 40 to 50 minute walk away. So many birds. Great little stay. The only issue we had is the google maps took us down a tiny overgrown lane (we thought this was the entrance at first) which wasn't great for the cars. Googles fault 😅. The stay was great. peaceful just what we needed

We had a great mini-break and thoroughly enjoyed the location and accommodation which was clean, cosy and comfortable. It was lovely to be able to have breakfast on the porch in the sunshine. The place was also perfectly situated for our various day trips. Georgi & Pete were very friendly and helpful both before and during our stay. Highly recommended. Martin & Jo

Lovely peaceful setting. Great view. Walks straight from the hut. Hot tub was great after a long walk. Loved meeting the goats. Clive was a great host. The app had all the info you would need and was especially helpful when arriving as it contained photos of exactly where you were going which was very helpful as the hut is tucked away down a lovely track access that you would be nervous was the correct one if you didn’t have the directions. Great stay would love to return.

The place was fab - completely as described and communication was great. Denise was very understanding and accommodating when plans had to change. Would defo recommend. Thank you!

The cabin is private without feeling isolated. It is well equipped for a peaceful stay. Jonathan and partner were helpful and welcoming. The back entrance avoids the steps to the cabin - really important as I have restricted mobility. Totnes is amazing - recommend a visit to the cafe style cinema as well as the wonderful and endless walks along the river.

it was a delight to stay to here. Amazing communication the chalet itself is alot bigger than it looks I would 100% stay here again and would recommend this to anyone else 😁

Absolutely stunning shepherds hut on the hill, beautiful scenery to wake up to every morning, we had a lovely stay for 3 nights and Jackie even provided all the essentials to use the Firepit and toast marshmallows too. Jackie and Johnny was so friendly and had lots of recommendations of places to visit which was beautiful. Also any queries you may have they are very responsive when messaging such lovely people. Would 100% recommend and will come back soon. Thank you so much for everything.

I cannot fault this wonderful hut! Its location is brilliant for accessing some of the most spectacular surroundings of the South West coast. Super cosy and spacious, it really had everything we needed and more! Danielle is the perfect host, incredibly friendly and responsive.

Great location, farm shop opposite with a 24 hour milk machine. The K bus stop is convenient just around the corner for trips into town as car parking in Exeter is expensive. I recommend the tunnels tour, Red jacket walking tours which are free and run by volunteers, The Cathedral cafè (stops serving lunch at 2pm) and The Albert Museum.

We had the most incredible stay at Ruth’s gorgeous home for a long weekend. From the moment we arrived, we felt completely welcomed—Ruth is the perfect host, warm, attentive, and thoughtful in every way. She even made sure we had fresh eggs from her own chickens, which was such a lovely touch! The place itself is stunning, beautifully kept, and in the perfect setting for a relaxing escape. On top of that, we had incredible kinesiology treatments during our stay, which left us feeling completely refreshed and rebalanced. We’re already looking at dates to return—this place is an absolute gem!

Simply stunning both inside and out! You can tell a lot of thought has been put into making this cabin the perfect little peaceful retreat that it is. Super comfy bed (and gorgeous carpentry work) that you can stargaze from, gigantic hot water outside bath, well equipped kitchen, beautiful views, cosy fire and all you can hear are birds and cows. A real country experience. Lots of places to explore, walks to do, wild swims etc. Make sure you stock up on food supplies before you get there so you can really relax. Plenty shops at Minehead. Great place to stay, everything you need for a breakaway. Tucked away in the garden and felt very private. Hot tub is a great added touch for chilling out. Gill communicated well and made sure we had all we needed. A lovely touch with a cream tea and Prosecco on arrival. Teignmouth is a lovely place and had some great walks. Will definitely return

We had a great time at 'Weez House'. Location was perfect, the view from the hot tub was stunning, and the property was clean and well equipped. There were a couple of nice pubs close by to eat at, The Thatch was particularly nice. We weren't too far from the beach, and we were able to walk to baggy point which was outstanding. Thank you for such an amazing stay.

I booked Torvale Shack for my partners birthday get away. On arrival we had the rose petals I’d asked for plus a heart shaped balloon as an extra! The space was lovely and clean with a beautiful outside area including the fabulous hot tub. The extras supplied were more than we’ve ever had anywhere else not just teas and coffee but cereal, biscuits, sweets, butter, milk and jams etc. The shack was lovely and modern with a beachy twist. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and how close it was to other places we enjoy. All in all couldn’t fault a thing it was perfect and well worth the money! Xx

We had a beautiful stay at Mill Cross in the Jenny Wren Shepard’s hut over a long weekend. Emma and Kevin were brilliant hosts, they were so kind and friendly and nothing was too much trouble. It was great to chat to them and learn about what the do and who they are. Our fire was lit for us to keep the cabin cosy and the hot tub perfectly warmed for us in the evenings. A highlight for us was the abundance of wonderfully friendly animals, it made our morning to have the hens coming running up to say hi, excited greetings from their lovely dog Juno, purrs from the very friendly cat Pickles, and happy hellos from the characterful goats. Stunning location, beautifully clean with expert craftsmanship. Very eco friendly as well. Emma’s homemade bread was delicious and we will be trying the brownie recipe she shared with us. Dreamy stay, wonderful trip. We will be back. Highly recommend!

We had a fantastic time at the stargazing cabin! Beautiful cosy cabin and surrounding woodland. On a clear night the stargazing is beautiful, and on a cloudy evening you can listen to the rain outside. So peaceful to disconnect. Cabin has Wifi and phone signal, but we chose not to turn on the wifi and fully enjoy the off grid weekend with no phones and just enjoy the outdoors. Located near Bude and the Dartmoor national park and Lydford national trust site which are great walks and only 30 mins away by car. Lots of local forests if you don’t drive. There’s no fridge/cool box, but you don’t really need it - we did fine with a thermos of cold milk which kept fresh all weekend. Plus, the outdoor shower is fantastic! We’ll be back again for sure!
