Ok, this place is amazing. The pictures don’t do it justice. It’s far enough away from the clubhouse and restaurant that you won’t hear it. However, it’s not like it’s a huge party scene anyway. Palmetto Bay is very relaxed. Bathrooms were very clean. ACs worked perfectly in the bedrooms. We would recommend that you get a shuttle (booked by Stephanie) and stop at the grocery before getting to the house. Crockery was all present, but you’ll want whatever spices and food. We didn’t get a car and used the same shuttle driver for our trips. If you just want to sit at a peaceful, gorgeous beach, no need to to go to the West. You can do it all from here. They have a dive shop that you can book very reasonable dives and snorkel trips to the reef, directly out from the resort. The fruit and veg guy came on Thursday, I think and you can get a whole bunch of stuff from him. Overall, this is a wonderful bungalow and would highly recommend.

What a gem. Located in very quiet but easily accessible area of the island, easy access to busier areas. The bungalow was so well designed and one of the better located ones on property, blending a good amount of privacy with airflow. Quick walk over to the pool and restaurant. Having lunch/dinner options on property was very nice for hen we didn't feel like venturing out. Pool and beach were very private and clean. Dock on property was nice to hang on and swim off of. Finally, never been big on having security around when in foreign countries, but I will say it gave us peace of mind to go through a guarded gate to get on property and to see them monitoring the property day and night. I have seen reports from the surrounding areas of some less than ideal encounters, and having the guards was a nice touch. All staff super nice. Bungalow had everything we needed, with plenty of drinkable water. Would highly recommend this spot, especially with kids.

I had a wonderful stay! The place was spotless and exceptionally well-maintained. The host was incredibly hospitable and made sure everything I needed was available without ever being intrusive. I really appreciated the balance of feeling totally at home while still having complete privacy. All household items and amenities were readily accessible, and everything worked seamlessly throughout my stay. I will not spoil complementary treats on this review though. Judy’s house was perfect for our family vacation! The house is located steps from the beach, with amazing beach views, in a quiet and peaceful area perfect for a relaxing getaway. Having a restaurant nearby was great for those nights we didn’t want to stray far or cook at the house. There also is a great dive/fishing outfit run out of Palmetto Bay that I highly recommend. The location on the island allowed us to easily explore the entire island and all that Roatan has to offer. I highly recommend Judy’s house and we’ll look to stay again next time we visit!

The overall property was beautiful and Casita 2 was very relaxing. As mentioned around, Matt and Dalia reflect superior hospitality. It was windy during our three night stay which prevented us from kayaking (comfortably) to the far reef. Despite the uncontrollable weather, we were able to enjoy snorkeling right off the dock which was busy (fish) and peaceful. We rented an SUV and were able to visit multiple areas on the east end. Overall Shelby/Seans' place was great and Dalia/Matt made us feel at home. We'll definitely look to come back again!

my wife and I LOVED the house. It felt like we were in a tree house! The hosts could not have been more friendly! We really enjoyed the animals at the property also. Walking to/ from west end always felt safe and was enjoyable, day or night. We would 110% stay here again and hope to do so.

Awesome stay on the east end. This place had everything we needed and then some. Very comfortable and incredibly CLEAN. Misty and Matt gave us some great local recommendations. We spent one day at Camp Bay beach. We didn’t get a chance to use the kayaks but we did spend the mornings on the dock enjoying coffee with the sunrise. We only stayed 2 nights then went to west end to spend the rest of our trip. I would recommend more time on the east end…more relaxing, less touristy and more authentic food options.

Where to begin? We had the most amazing time relaxing and enjoying our first visit to Roatan at Shanna’s beautiful home. Her nephew Dylan met us at the airport and drove us anywhere we wanted to go all week. The house was perfect and I really enjoyed the porch and hammock! We couldn’t believe how perfect the surroundings were and how kind and helpful Shanna and her family were. Thank you so much!!

Great location on the island for peace and quiet. the place was great with everything you need. well kept and neat. palmetto bay is a great place with a dive shop, restaurant, pool. the only other place that is walkable is Roatan brewery which has both great beer and food. the cove restaurant on site also has great food. you won't go hungry between the two. you'll need a car if you want to explore the island or have Stephanie recommend a driver. there are excursions available and you join a dive and snorkel. already planning the next trip!
