Outstanding and secluded location, lovely views from Lodge and private hot tub, near a River with wild swimming opportunities and nice countryside walks all round. wonderful natural location with lovely mature characterful trees. Jacqui went above and beyond to make our visit fabulous. we look forwards to a return visit.

Great place to stay if you don’t want to stay in the city. Easy park and ride into Edinburgh. The surroundings are stunning, a great place to wake up to! There were plenty of walks but we didn’t end up doing any of them as we had walked for hours in Edinburgh and couldn’t face anymore hilly walks!

What a beautiful place to stay in the middle of the hills nice and quiet and the hot tub was a family favourite thanks to Alexander and all his family for making us so welcome 5 stars

This was such a wonderful place for a few days away! The little house is lovely - has absolutely everything you could need and is so idyllic and beautifully designed right down to the little details. The fire pit and swing and table in the garden were such an added bonus! A lovely location too - had a great walk at Grey Mares Nature reserve about 45mins away. Couldn’t recommend highly enough, I’m looking at dates to return!

Great accommodation and great host! Peaceful stay with beautiful surroundings! Our son particularly loved the hot tub and visits from the dogs!

We had a fantastic weekend we had a few wee issues but expected due to time of year and extreme weather been having however James sorted this without any fuss and got us back up and running. Our pod was lovely and the hot tub was lovely and well maintained and clean. Nice and peaceful and just lovely to get away and relax. Very private and the views are spot on, we enjoyed our weekend that much we have booked again for my birthday in April, counting down the days.

Fantastic cabin in great location for exploring the Borders region.The cabin is lovely, equipped with everything needed and there were even a few goodies on arrival too. Hot tub was wonderful in the Scottish summer. We couldnt recommend Castlehill enough to anyone wanting a top end stay in beautiful surroundings.

The lodge itself is very cosy but has all amenities for a couple days stay, the outdoor hot tub was fantastic with scenic veáis of the surrounding landscape.

Me and my husband stayed at Kevin’s place to celebrate my husband’s birthday. We had a nice relaxing stay and the pod just had everything we needed. Kevin was very helpful if we needed anything.

Super host! Extremely quick and efficient to respond when I had a few questions. Lodge was cosy for the children - it heat up really quickly which considering the snow, we were grateful for. Excellent location in terms of a base to explore the Falkirk wheel/ kelpies/ enjoy a cycle along the canal as we did. Would be a lovely place to enjoy an outdoor BBQ on the deck in the sunshine whilst the children ran wild on the huge grassy field in front of the lodge.

We stayed 5 nights and time flew by. Beautifully designed cabin that has everything you need. Very calm area and cute villages to explore in the surroundings. Close enough to also visit Edinburg by car or train. Thank you for the wonderful experience! :)

Beautiful cabin with post-card picturesque views. It was a true winter wonderland which made for a lovely experience. The heavy snow did mean we chose to not use the hot tub as it does take a while to heat up and we preferred to stay in the warmth of the cabin but that just means we’re keen to come back again to make full use of the cabin and the surrounding things to see/do! Host was helpful and responsive, and all the information ahead of the stay helped us have a stress free trip.

Our stay was perfect for our two dogs, really quiet location and had lots of space to play outside. Really comfortable stay for us too, would 100% stay again and highly recommend to others!

My husband and I stayed in this charming little place for the second leg of our honeymoon. The surrounding area was beautiful, we loved the local restaurants and the backyard was like a fairytale. It’s also right next to the Trinity Path which is a gorgeous way to walk into the middle of Edinburgh. Charlie and Melanie were both so sweet to us during our stay. The only thing I’ll say is it’s a little difficult to move around the space while also living out of two suitcases. If you position everything right though, you can manage and it will be your cute little oasis in Leith, Edinburgh. Highly recommend for a truly one of a kind stay.

Me and my partner stayed here for a night and it was great we both really enjoyed our stay, cabin was exactly like the photos shown and very clean, I had a bit of trouble with my app trying to pay for the late check out and the host was very very helpful with finding an alternative way to be able to pay this . Overall the stay was great loved the hot tub and we would definitely come back

David and Sandie were perfect hosts. They were very communicative from the moment we booked and were very proactive in trying to help make sure our stay with them and our trip generally went smoothly. Both were very welcoming and supplied everything we needed to feel comfortable. The cabin is well appointed with comfortable, modern and very clean amenities. The location was perfect for us to nip into the city but to also enjoy the peace and beautiful views on the outskirts. We would absolutely stay here again, and highly recommend this as a great convenient place to stay close to Edinburgh.

Do not miss the chance to stay at this beautiful lodge! Best Airbnb I've ever stayed in. Even lovelier than the pictures and everything provided is high quality from kitchen equipment to bedding. The reservoir at the bottom of the hill is perfect for swimming and the bath on the veranda is a gorgeous way to relax in the evening and watch the stars. Mitchel was incredibly helpful and accommodating. I cannot recommend East Rigg Lodges highly enough. Thank you for a wonderful holiday!

Fantastic place to stay, very comfortable and great hosts. I spent 2 months here whilst working in the local area and was a fantastic place to unwind in the evenings and relax.

Had a great stay. The cabin is in a good location which is easy to find and a short trip from Edinburgh. The cabin was lovely inside and completely matched the photos. Would be happy to stay here again in the future!
