My family of 9 (7 adults, 2 children) visited from the United States. We were excited to explore in our first vacation to Scotland. We chose this location because it was almost perfectly in between Glasgow and Edinburgh, so we could have an extended stay at this Airbnb and visit both cities. The house is about 10-15 minutes from the nearest train station which will take you to both Edinburgh and Glasgow. Or about a 45 minute drive to each city. There were also numerous grocery stores in about a 10 minute radius. The Airbnb itself was fantastic. It was clean, it was spacious, and it had everything we needed for such a big family, including plenty of fun activities for the kids. Each bedroom had its own bathroom inside of it too. James was great about communicating with me, he was very transparent about all the information and helped in every way he could. I absolutely recommend this Airbnb to anyone, but especially larger families. Thank you James for welcoming us!

An incredible location, wonderful people, and excellent water pressure. Perfect for our weekend break touring Edinburgh City and the Aquarium (Queensferry North). Bus / train combos a lifesaver, and the Queensferry South is super walkable. A big thanks to Cody and Catríona for hosting, their apartment is gorgeous, well-thought out, and had everything we needed. Likewise, the hosts themselves could not be faulted. Far more than can be done in a long weekend, so plenty of reasons to go back!

An ideal spot for getting to Edinburgh/Glasgow especially via the trains with free parking at the station.The site was warm, well furnished and Duncan the host went to great lengths to assist.The 'welcome basket' of bread,milk,cereal,butter etc was a nice touch.

I cannot say enough good things about Carol! She is a lovely kind hearted person who went above and beyond to make sure our stay was perfect. Very friendy and excellent communicator. I will definitely be booking with her again

What can I say about this cottage? Outstanding, absolutely beautiful it has everything you would ever need. The cottage is very clean and well laid out. Lynda is the best host so responsive at all times and sometimes proactive. We had a power cut after the recent storm, Lynda offered to move me to a hotel or another cottage. I decided to stay and put up with the power outage which was really cosy with candles burning and the log fire lit. The real lovely surprise is when you turn off the road down the track to the cottage and you see the Loch which you cross a causeway to get the cottage, amazing. It’s a place I definitely want to return to return to for a holiday. So thank you for letting me use your amazing place Lynda I hope to stay again 👍

Lovely cottage right next to the Pentland. We loved the cottage and the scenery around it. Kylie was lovely and easy to contact. Would recommend to anyone who wants to be close to Edinburgh but in nature.

A beautiful stay! A small yet spacious area that comfortably hosted 3 guests. Everything was clean and available. Sharon was very helpful and responsive :) Would highly recommend if you want to stay just outside of Edinburgh (35 minute drive into the centre) and enjoy the lovely scenery! Favourite part was the window in the upstairs bedroom which showed a beautiful view of the countryside :)

I stayed here for a month with my dog. We felt very settled and at home. The flat is really clean and tidy, has everything you need. Seeing the sunrise every morning over the Firth of Forth bridge was wonderful. As well as a fair few rainbows! Inside is as described, in the hallway there are cute picture frames with local recommendations which was a welcoming touch. Ben was really helpful, friendly and responsive. Lovely neighbours too who were warm and helpful. I felt really safe there. Parking right outside the property is quite difficult, but there is a car park a 2-3 min walk away and that was absolutely fine with spaces and really not an issue. There are lots of walks nearby, easy to get to the beach. Really easy to get into Edinburgh but also a fab location for exploring north over the bridge, and East towards Glasgow. I had lots of lovely adventures. Definitely recommend 🙂 thanks Ben! 🐾
