Just home from our long weekend stay at Jill's lovely cottage. We had a great weekend. The cottage is small but very well-equipped and very cozy, perfect for a couple. Delft Nook was immaculate when we arrived and Jill's communication was excellent. We will definitely be returning. Thank you for your hospitality and we look forward to meeting you again in the future

Lovely, characterful place to stay. Great sense of privacy, surrounded by countryside. Once the log burner gets going it's really cosy and the accommodation is really well thought out. Appreciated John being on hand to answer questions and to be so welcoming and helpful whilst also respecting our privacy. Highly recommended.

Gorgeous area, gorgeous place. So lovely really enjoyed it :). We did get a little lost on the moors following some of the instructions, but probably more our bad than anything else haha. Clearly a lot of effort put in to describing local walks etc, really nice touch

The Washhouse is a stunning place to stay. Central location and with parking literally outside the door. Samantha is a wonderful host and the accommodation is spotlessly clean. Real homely and cosy feel, the comfiest bed imaginable and impossible to fault

I had a wonderful and relaxing break at Mechele's pod cabin. It had everything I needed in a perfect little package. A full-size bed, a well-equipped kitchen, and bathroom with walk-in shower. I visited on a solo trip, but groups of two guests have stayed there before. If I were travelling with another person, I'd probably look at somewhere slightly larger but that's just my preference. It is an ideal location for a digital detox as no TV. There's a small table which I used for crafts, a selection of books and a radio. I had phone coverage there (Three) but I didn't want to be on my phone for the 3 nights I spent there. It is far away from the town to be quiet (Mechele's place is at the end of a quiet street and very easy to find) but close enough to walk to the town centre - 15 mins, or to the local supermarket - 5 mins. I travelled by train, but parking is ample at the location. On this visit I didn't spend much time outdoors, but some great outdoor attractions are nearby.

We stayed at the cabin for two nights with our two dogs 🐶 and we couldn’t have asked for more! The cottage is very cosy, loved the chandeliers; we had plenty of wood for the fireplace, kitchen has everything you need and Ruth even left bacon, eggs, milk, biscuits, jam and dog treats for us 🥳. I was particularly impressed with how comfy the bed was, even took pictures of the mattress and duvet labels to buy the same ones for my home! The garden is lovely and has beautiful views, we even spotted 6 deers in the morning whilst having our breakfast. I highly recommend Ruth’s cabin, we’ll definitely come back! Thank you, Raluca

We had a great time! The shepherd's hut was beautiful, cosy and warm even in January. The wood fired hot tub was easy to light ourselves and Jane made sure we always had enough fire wood. Jane was easy to contact, during booking and throughout our stay, and went above and beyond to make our trip special. Would definitely recommend!

We had a lovely stay for my boyfriend’s birthday! We both had a great time. Everything was thought of, the home was beautiful, and the birthday Prosecco and other treats were very much appreciated! We would happily come back!

Gorgeous little hillside retreat. Perfect for a romantic getaway and the fire pit was nice. Perfect amenities for what you need and plenty of room. Would highly recommend a trip!

I can only echo all the other rave reviews from previous guests. The tiny house is excellent value for money: warm, comfortable, clean and cosy. We were bowled over by the generosity shown in the selection and choice of food stuffs and drinks provided. Fantastic attention to detail; easy to locate and check in. Straightforward and reliable communication; a peaceful and private setting to relax and enjoy the wonderful hot tub. I hope to return one day! Thank you.

We specifically booked here for our Jack Russell to have a mini holiday of countryside walks and so he could roam around in the enclosed garden which we usually struggle to find gardens that are secure and safe for him without him having the opportunity to escape. This was PERFECT for us and for him. We loved every bit of staying in the hut that we would definitely book again. It was everything we wanted. Nicola was really lovely, helpful and acommodating and the attention to detail in the hut is just beautiful. Better than the picture when you're there. We did the pots and pans walk which was one of the many things recommended in the welcome guide and also a trip to Uppermill. Fantastic and thank you for letting us be your guests. Sammy and Andy x

I had a fantastic stay at The Piggery! It was incredibly comfortable, private, and set in beautiful surroundings—a true home away from home. Everything was spotlessly clean, and Barry, the host, was very welcoming. He provided clear instructions for arriving, which made finding the place easy. He also recommended a lovely circular walk, which I really enjoyed. My dog absolutely loved it here too! It’s a great spot for a relaxing getaway, and I’d definitely stay again. Highly recommended!

Amazing stay and our dog Rolo and he made friends with the owners dogs as they were super friendly and even the chickens he was trying to be friend haha! I will definitely stay here again! Thank you

fabulous few days at the bothy. beautiful scenery, lovely walking routes and a fantastic train service on your doorstep. the bothy is perfect for a couple looking to escape the hullabaloo, beautifully appointed and well looked after. great host, very relaxed and welcoming. we had a great break. loved it

Very friendly on arrival. Great communication beforehand telling us exactly where to find them and in particular how to use the fire and where everything was located on site. The cabin was presented exactly the same way as in the pictures and was very cosy at night with the fire lit. The shower room was very clean, tidy and lovely and warm. John was very responsive to any messages and was helpful throughout our stay. The view sitting outside the cabin was lovely listening to the birds singing and the sheep in the field next door. We will definitely be recommending John’s place to friends and family

Didnt utilise the place enough, great place in what feels a world of its own. You feel far away from life and the busy nature it is. Perfect to relax, unwind, chill, recharge and rest from life itself. The surrounding areas are beautiful and there are a few nice towns to visit close by. Kirsty is a great host and i would highly recommend

Eileen’s chalet was lovely, we stayed as a group of 6 friends for NYE. Great for those who want a more chilled out location, great restaurants and cafes in a 3 minute walk which is in a lovely little village. Immaculately clean, with a lovely view from the chalet balcony. I would maybe say it’s more ideal for 4 adults with there only being 2 bedrooms, but we didn’t mind, it’s just something to bear in mind for people who might want more privacy and space. Overall great location, lovely clean chalet with everything you could possibly need in there.

Such a beautiful place in a beautiful town, we had a minor problem with heating the bath but Clara was attentive and the issue was resolved. Would love to come back!

Me & my fiancé had an amazing weekend. We did find it difficult to find, there was no mention of metal gates for the car park which would have made it easier (unless I missed that part) but also we did arrive when it was dark. The place was spotless and comfy. Mark greeted us and was so welcoming and informative. It is beautifully decorated and clean. Perfect home to spend the evenings chilling after being out exploring. We had a lovely stay at the lodge . It feels spacious and was warm and cosy. Quick access for walking into town , lots of great places for breakfast and all meal requirements. Cathy was a super host and clearly enjoys it . Lots of nice extra touches , fresh flowers , home baked delicious goodies , garden nicely planted .
