Absolutely loved it. Earthy and private and loved every second, wanted to stay longer. Hot tub was amazing. Takes a while to heat up but is fun to test the temperature and still warm in the morning if u play it right. Pool is fantastic. Nothing to complain about.

We really enjoyed our 4 night stay at the Kliphuis. We could switch off and relax from the moment we got there. The directions and self-checkin worked very well. The house had everything we needed, even an ice machine. As our host Jacques was not expecting any guests on the day of our departure, he offered that we could stay an extra night if we wanted to, and of course we did! It felt as if we were in the middle of nowhere, we did not see other people for our whole stay. Although the place is quite remote, its very safe and there is cellphone reception. The huge stoep with comfy coaches on wheels and one of them hanging, was such a highlight. We sat on the stoep almost the whole day enjoying nature, birdlife in/around the river below, and the amazing view of the starts at night. We were woken up by 4 owls on the stoep on our last morning, what a treat for birders. We were also fortunate that there was water in the river during a hot December.

Zelma was a wonderful host! She certainly has earned her Super Host Badge! When we got there, she had preheated the Hot Tub and was waiting to welcome us in to this beautiful little Eco-Friendly cottage. We had a wonderfully relaxing week end there and Zelma was flexible with our check out time as we had a rather slow start to the day. 100% would go back here to relax and unwind again! Thank you Zelma!

Beach Haven is fabulously situated right on the beach front, with world-class panoramic views of both sea/mountain. A truly magical spot! James was also a great host. Highly recommend.

Definitely a magical and peaceful place! Google maps was misleading and finding the place was a challenge. Some signage on the road would be very helpfull. Anique and Jonathan are lovely people and very welcoming. The feel of the cob built house is like nothing else and we were very spoiled to wake up with stunning views and fresh fruits and vegetables from the garden. There are some beautiful local attractions like swimming in a waterfall and breathtaking mountain pass drives. Jonathan and Anique are happy to share there knowledge about permaculture. We couldn't recommend it more highly especially when you love being surrounded by nature! Absoluty highlight of our trip!

Der Aufenthalt im HIDE war außergewöhnlich! Der Weg dorthin ist etwas abenteuerlich, dafür liegt es wunderschön an einem Hang mit Blick auf den See. Wir haben uns sofort wohl gefühlt und die Atmosphäre dort ist wirklich besonders. Nicolette war für uns immer erreichbar und überaus freundlich. Vielen Dank und eine absolute Empfehlung für das HIDE!

We had an exceptional stay at this property-one of those life experiences we were glad to had.The villa itself is incredibly beautiful and looked exactly what the images showed. Super nice, clean, comfortable, and well equipped. We were lucky to spot a whale from the patio. Corné is a super-host with a flawless communication. Property’s caretaker Yoli is very helpful and kind. All good, and would definitely recommend staying here.

We stayed few times on Neels Cottage. We had everytime wonderfull time. Lefras‘s place is very clean and nice

Wir hatten einen wunderbaren Aufenthalt und haben von hier aus das Kap wunderbar erkunden können. Im Biergarten hatten wir ein köstliches Abendessen und unsere Tochter war mit Spielplatz und Pferden vor dem Haus ebenfalls begeistert.

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay in this charming, rustic cottage. It’s peaceful with a lovely view. We walked to the nearby river with our dog which he loved. We really appreciated the crisp bed linen & mosquito netting. We’d come back here again. Oh yes! And the hot tub was fantastic too!

We had a very pleasant stay at Gabbi’s quaint little home. The best way to describe The Hugging Home is that it is good for the soul - quiet, peaceful, and a simpler way of living. Fantastic! Would absolutely recommend it!

We love the main house where the bedrooms are. It feels warm and welcoming, very comfortable and open to the outdoor areas. It was fun exploring the garden and the round mud huts. We enjoyed the walk that leads to the end where the mountains are.

We thought we’d been in some amazing AirBnBs already but this one topped them all! The Vineyard Cottage is so beautiful (the views! the interior design!), warm (the materials used! the love you feel Tabby and Alex have put into it!) and so perfect in every detail (the artwork! the welcome card!) we never wanted to leave again. A truly wonderful stay, waking up with vineyard views, a walk through the fynbos, seeing all the animals in the farm and ending with a soak in the hot tub… Great memories! 5 stars all over! Can’t wait to be back!

What can I say, Helen is the most incredible human being! We totally fell in love with her and her amazing eco home. I can also highy recommend the venison Potjie which we had on our first night after a long drive, whilst admiring the breathtaking views surrounded by chickens and animals! So much fun and really good for the soul. I can highly recommend you stay here as part of your authentic Hogsback experience. xx
