We've stayed in this area several times and David and Johanna's property was the most secluded with the additional of a large yard, tidal pond, small private beach area and new dock. The beds and linens were great and the heating system top notch since we were there when a cold front came through. The kitchen was the best stocked we've seen and we had everything we needed for a Thanksgiving meal. It is clear that the home still has a few renovations in the works but nothing that prevented us from enjoying our stay.

Great house quite near the water. Well appointed and clean. Loved the large screened in back patio and spacious yard. Didn’t have time to cruise around in the golf cart, but certainly a useful perk. Quick walk to downtown area with some good food and beverage offerings.

Heather was an amazing host, and the home was absolutely beautiful. Waking up to the waterfront views and the peaceful early morning walks are only some of the reasons why I would stay again. If you are looking for a peaceful getaway, look no further.

Dani is very kind and responds almost instantly to any question! The instructions are very thorough and the home is well-kept. Definitely a 10/10 experience for someone like myself that was visiting Virginia for the very first time! Dani is the best in the game for sure!

This house was great! It had everything we needed while traveling with a baby. Jacqueline was so helpful, friendly and such a pleasant person. Very caring and was available everyone I reached out to her. The house was very comfortable. Our group of 10 had no complaints. I would 100 percent recommend this house to friends and family. Landon was a fantastic host-very responsive and the home was accurate to the description. Our kids absolutely loved the amenities-the trampoline, treehouse, swing, crab pots, and fire pit all got a ton of use! There were also tons of games and books for the kids, and the home was very cozy, with gorgeous views for the adults. We will definitely be back!

Tom & Michele have a lovely apartment with fun snacks and drinks. The bed was comfortable and the place was very clean. The hosts were very responsive as well. I would definitely recommend staying here.

This was a beautiful stay! The location can't be beat - we walked the 1 minute to the nearby docks to soak up the sights and sounds of the river many times. The house was clean and beautiful - we loved the open floor plan and simple decorations. A very comfortable stay with everything we needed. The patio was gorgeous and we spent a lot of time enjoying the space!

This was our second stay! A most serene and beautiful spot. We love the little apartment, it has everything we need. Vickie and Scott are wonderful hosts! They even had a tiny Christmas tree in the apartment for us! We will be back for a longer stay in the summer.

This apartment had all the best touches of comfort & care from furniture to bathroom decor . We loved staying in the location near all the good bird watching and local new museums . This was a nice find for the money & value !

This place worked wonders for our family vacation. the place is very new and updated with 2 full bathrooms that were clean and spacious for beach time and baths with kids. colonial beach is a hidden gem in a historic little town that seems as though at one point was hustling and bustling but isn't quite as popular as it once was but trying to come back. if your a family looking for a uncrowded beach and some activities to do in the area then this place is great! we actually read about this place being in the heart of historic downtown. only thing we would have loved to see with this place is some outdoor patio spot at the home directly to be able to sit outside together. the location does not really have any night life during the week, not even on 4th of July. we went out at 9 pm and the bar closed at 10 pm which seemed way too early for a Thursday and holiday and being on the beach.

After a little miscommunication on the arrival time, everything was at it should be or better. Great location, clean, responsive well worth it. Great experience and will be back regularly.

We had a great, peaceful stay! It was easy to find the place. Clear instructions. Parking was a breeze. The card, snacks, and waters were a nice touch! Also, I had mentioned bringing kids and there was a high chair for us. I don't know if that's always there but it was so thoughtful. The beds were soo comfy too especially the pillows! Neighbors were friendly and quiet.

Our family had a wonderful stay at Scott and Carrie's. The location was GREAT as the walk to downtown Fredericksburg was so close! It was clean and cozy. We would stay here again and would recommend to others!

Had an amazing beachfront experience! I was taken aback by the breathtaking views from the balcony. Our host was attentive and made sure everything was in order for our arrival.

it was super remote and quiet, just the way we like it. fresh eggs from the hen house was a plus.

Jordan & Veronica’s place was cozy, clean, peaceful, and in the perfect location! The description was spot on and the amenities (an iron!! and water/snacks) were great. Walkability in the downtown area and to UMW were perfect for our visit. We hope to return!
