I stayed at Shepherd Oak from February to March during my 6 week placement as a student at the hospital in Dorchester and loved having such a lovely, quiet place to retreat to in the evenings after busy weekdays. The cottage and its surroundings were very clean and tidy and its location is beautiful and very peaceful. The town of Upwey in general is also lovely and I spent my weekends discovering the walks around the area and frequenting the most gorgeous tearoom I've ever been in (the Wishing Well tearoom just down the road!) so for me the cottage couldn't have been in a more perfect location! The host and co-host, Helen and Gemma, were very friendly and communicative throughout my stay and overall I thoroughly enjoyed my time at Shepherd Oak and would wholly recommend to anyone. Thanks Helen and Gemma for a wonderful stay!

We have had another wonderful few nights at Brian and Carol's. We would highly recommend the accommodation to anyone.

We had a superb 4 night stay at The Victorian Barns, staying in the lovely Lodge. The property was set in beautiful private grounds with its own larger indoor heated swimming pool, huge activity barn (complete with table tennis and badminton court) and plenty of land and lakes to walk our two Springer Spaniels around! Our host Claire gave us lots of information before our stay and also answered any questions that we had during our time there. Their on site EV charger was a god send allowed us to to-up our car at the end of the day after trips out. All in all we loved our stay and we hope to visit again soon!

We really appreciated our stay at Debbie’s chalet. It was super easy to check and out. Debbie was always communicative and helpful. We had all the amenities we needed for our 2 nights and were within walking and short driving distance to all the places we hoped to visit. It’s a great location and a lovely little cabin.

The host and reception staff were extremely helpful and friendly. A couple of issues we had on arrival were swiftly dealt with in a friendly and efficient manner. Our host was very flexible and went out of her way to ensure we were happy during our stay. The location of the accommodation is excellent and it sits in an amazing area. It's quiet, rural and very pretty. We look forward to visiting again.

This lodge was just perfect for a relaxing week away, which was just what we needed. It was immaculately clean, well set out and well equipped. We loved the fact that our children and dog could explore and play freely and safely, and the lodge was well fenced and very dog friendly. We would definitely recommend, and would love to visit again ourselves.

Great host, really good communicator and very responsive to any questions. Easy to follow instructions for check in and they had left a lovely gift for my daughter as it was her 3rd Birthday, which was a very kind and personal touch. We made use of the private chef and hot tub which were both excellent. The house was immaculate and great for kids too, with plenty of toys and a large enclosed garden. We would definitely stay here again.

Another great stay here with the family. The lodge is in a lovely position, spacious and well equipped. Steve communicated very efficiently and responded promptly. The cost has got rather expensive but you do get comfort and luxury. We would be happy to return again and have no hesitation in recommending it to others.

Great place to stay for a group of people, close to lots of lovely areas. The house was big, clean and comfortable. Would absolutely stay again.

We had a great stay here! Perfect for our family get together for 6 adults & 5 children! We were so lucky with the weather so the children loved the outside space and play room! & the short walk to the beach :) The whole accommodation was as described, lovely and clean, easy to check in & well equipped! What a wonderful stay. The Shed is clean, spacious, comfy, has a real home from home feel. The centre piece of the Shed has to be the amazing sea view, I could spend hours looking out to sea in the cosy armchair. We had a wonderful time and will definitely be returning!

The static caravan was clean and tidy and just what we needed for our few days in Dorset. Turning my S-Max by the caravan proved a little trick so if you have a big car be warned. We turned at the bottom of the road and reversed up to the caravan. The caravan is in a corner so it is quite private, which was just what we wanted. I would happily stay there again.

We had such a lovely stay at Kate’s place. It was just what we needed…. Relaxing, peaceful with beautiful surroundings and views. The Chalet has been nicely decorated and has everything you’d need for a comfortable stay. There are activities onsite and lots to do locally. We especially loved our visits to Portland Bill. We’d definitely come back another time. Thanks for a wonderful stay. :-)

Gregory was helpful, very responsive to emails. The chalet is in the most spectacular location with sunsets galore and a beach visible from the chalet. The Downs are also visible. It's quiet and peaceful. Freshwater and Yarmouth are close by with their own beaches and village centres. There's a good curry house called Jaffran, both restaurant and take away in Freshwater, which I believe will deliver as far as the chalet. The chalet is very nice, comfortable beds with good cupboard space. The kitchen is clean and well stocked, the bathroom as well. The shower is quick to heat up, with good water pressure. I definitely will stay here again if I come back to the Island. Thanks Gregory.

This little chalet is a gem , right on the beach and perfect for fishing and dog walks . The chalet is lovely and warm and has everything you need. Definitely will visit again . Thankyou Rob

Absolutely recommend Amanda's Chalet to stay. I stayed for a week. The place was beautifully presented as described in the listing. Everything was clean. Beautiful peaceful setting, Easy walk to the seafront and Colwell Bay. I found the bed very comfortable, the Chalet had everything I needed for a relaxing break. Lovely little caravan with a little sea view from the front window. Very cosy and spacious. It was nice that there was a drive way so we didn’t need to park on the grass! Hosts were very friendly and helpful and responded quickly to any messages sent. Deposit was quickly returned the next day. Looking forwards to our next stay here!
