Amazing location, enjoyed our stay, host was great to deal with. Would highly recommend.

This was a great place to crash for a week while we explored Whakatāne and Ohope. Easy, quick beach access. Close to a fun park and just up the road from a surfing spot. Close to hikes and a good market nearby. Good kitchen. Comfortable beds. Fun ping pong table and space to store our bikes.

A lovely place to stay. The location was perfect, just across the road to the beach and the house was comfortable and clean. Waking up to the sound of the waves and enjoying the beautiful view was a highlight of the trip. Highly recommend.

A comfortable, compact apartment, perfect as a base for a worker. Was welcomed by Paul and given a tour, he and Leigh were friendly and always available to help/ chat / lend their dog for walks on the beach !! Lots of small details have been thought of. I particularly appreciated the well kitted out kitchen. The beach is visible from the kitchen window and accessible by walking down the driveway.

Angela and Dennis were great to communicate with: Angela via the app and Dennis in person. Their place is a great spot to be based: away from the hustle yet close to Ohope beach. The indoor activities (the pool table and pinball machine) were great during rainy weather & in the evenings. All in all a very pleasant stay!

Perfection…in every way. Great communication and Paul was very responsive and accommodating. The place was a slice of heaven and we will definitely be using it every time we travel to Whakatane. Super close to town, with 180 degree ocean views and very respectful quiet neighbours. 10/10 for anyone looking for an amazing place to relax and unwind. What a great place to stay! Lush gardens, pretty house, heaps of room for the kids and everything we needed. The local area has plenty to do. We stayed 2 weeks and it wasn't long enough.

Char was an absolutely lovely host! With extremely quick responses and a friendly attititude, staying in Ohope was a breeze. Being able to walk to and from 4square (supermarket/grocery store) along the beach allows fresh mornings where you can come back with breakfast to have on the expansive patio . I can have pretty high standards of cleanliness, and this sweet little holiday home was spotless on arrival. Full washing amenities easily accessible from the outdoor shower for an easy clean up. The table tennis in the garage was a great way to unwind. And the very short drive to Ohope Scenic Reserve allowed us to spend almost two hours exploring where we are pretty sure we saw a kiwi bird in the wild but definitely saw weka, fantail, silver eye, tui, and more! Overall this place was perfect for our needs.
