This is such a lovely home to stay in. Beautifully furnished and feels so private with the outside deck and secure fencing. The fridge and pantry were well stocked. It was a shame we didn't stay longer to really enjoy the cottage. Lynette is a lovely friendly host. Thank you!

Loved the house and location... views spectacular. great place for a large group... there were twelve of us and did not feel crowded. close to town and the markets. Better than we expected. Will recommend it to friends and family traveling to Whanganui.

myself and grandchildren loved Cecile's place..homely and has everything our lil family needed even the extras of brekky stuff, spreads, bread, milk ..truly appreciated when showing up with X4 young children ..We had a dip in pool abit cool at this time of year but refreshing ..

“A Perfect Stay with Stunning Views!” I had an amazing stay at this AirBnB! The location was perfect—peaceful, yet close to everything I needed. One of the highlights was the beautiful walk nearby, which offered breathtaking views that made every morning feel magical. Whether enjoying a cup of coffee outside or taking in the scenery during a stroll, the surroundings were absolutely stunning. très bon séjour même pour une nuitée. la maison est très très bien équipée et tout a été pensé pour que l'on ne manque de rien, tant dans la cuisine que dans les salles de bains ou les chambres très confortable , calme mignon et joliment décoré c'est le logement le mieux équipé de notre séjour ! Outstanding value, cheaper than a hotel and so much nicer. Lots of space and privacy, comfortable amenities, underground parking garage. You may be able to arrange EV charging, ask ahead - but the Tesla chargers at the mall are very fast and convenient too. Active nightlife at the neighboring bar but the penthouse is high enough that it’s not too loud. Everything we needed was walkable.

Thanks so much for hosting my son and two of the students he coaches. He said the place was fantastic, well beyond what he was expecting. He felt very comfortable there. I so appreciated the communication beforehand and thank you so much for checking in with them to see if they needed additional blankets.

Beautiful place, the owner baked us a fresh loaf which was amazing. Really appreciate how friendly the owner was, left us to our own devices after a nice hello. The sculpture garden was absolutely beautiful with gorgeous views of the lake. Perfect in the evening to cozy up and watch something on the smart TV with some Air-Con too. We’ll be back as soon as we can!

Everything was exactly as the listing had said. The space was very private, very quiet and relaxing to be in. The space was very clean and extremely well equipped. My wife and i both said it could easily be a place to stay in for a week or two, as it had everything needed. Thank you very much Gail!

The beautiful historic Fire Station has been transformed into a posh home decor store on the ground level and some very nice apartments on the first floor. Beautifully finished hardwood floors, large rooms and high ceilings give a sense of grandeur to the place. We enjoyed the comfortable leather couches and chairs in the living room. When we needed a bigger pot for cooking and some extra hangers for clothes, the host, though out of town that weekend, responded immediately and had the maid bring them over. The apartment is very walkable to all the attractions downtown and, if you have a car, there is a secure parking place in the courtyard. There can be a bit of road noise outside the bedrooms, but not so much that earplugs can’t handle. We would recommend staying at this beautiful apartment if you want a convenient place to stay in Whanganui.

This is a high quality beautiful place to stay. The hosts have thought of everything you need to be comfortable. The decor is divine. Only issue would prefer lock on suite door.

We really enjoyed our stay at Fran’s. Very private and lovely rooms. We especially loved the great breakfast selection. Easy contactless entry to the rooms and peaceful location. Fran is very friendly and accomodating. We would stay there again if ever we travelled back to the Manawatu.

I stayed at the Gumnut B&B for just two nights on a road trip through Whanganui. The guest space is large enough to be an apartment because there is a lounge and dining room as well as a bedroom and dedicated bathroom. The bed was very comfortable. Breakfast was delicious and generous. I spent my first afternoon on the porch enjoying the cool breeze and pleasant weather with views of the garden. The neighborhood is quiet at night and felt safe. I walked into downtown to explore Whanganui. Maryann and Barry were friendly hosts and Maryann stopped to chat with me when she had time. I recommend staying at the Gumnut B&B and I would gladly stay again.

Great place! Super tidy and clean place to stay that was perfect for the two of us for a night in Palmerston North. All instructions and comms with Warren were clear and simple - sometimes Hosts can overcomplicate things but Warren was very concise without any confusion. Loved the little touches like fresh juice and chocolate bickies :) Amazing value for money and would happily stay again, and recommend to friends. Thank you.
