Un havre de paix exceptionnel ! Un silence apaisant. Beau grand espace bien équipé pour cuisiner, se reposer et écouter de drôle de vinyles sur le tourne-disque. Steve très gentil est venu nous apporter des draps supplémentaires pour le lit d'appoint. Le 2 chèvres sont sympas ! La vue tout autour est magnifique

While I really enjoyed the artistic flair to this spot, I was really impressed with the infrastructure that was added to make it truly functional. Anyone can add a bunch of bunk-beds to a basement and call it a guesthouse, but a strong level of functionality has been strived for - and achieved. The extra showers had high-powered fans, each bunk had a hook to hang things and a light to read by. There were ample outlets and sinks. So aesthetics AND functionality! Awesome. Got to meet the legend Barbara. She's an empowered soul who is lifting up a town.

we had a peaceful stay at this cabin. very cute and cozy. would surely stay here again when in the area.

Our family of four had a great experience staying at Straw Fork cabin. Theresa and Bobby were very accommodating and fun to chat with. We enjoyed exploring the surrounding area during the day and having a nice place to come back to at the end of the day. At the cabin we loved watching the wild turkeys and other animals, hanging out on the front porch, rock hunting on the property (found some lovely quartz that the hosts let us keep), lots of frog sounds at night, peace and quiet, and more. We would highly recommendation and plan to return one day!

Space was clean, cozy, and charming. Kitchen had everything you could need and the bedding was very comfortable. Would definitely recommend staying here to visit the painted hills, just around the corner.

This is a great location if you are traveling around the John Day Fossil Beds. Erin was an attentive and friendly host and there were LOTS of books, including a take one leave one library! The kitchen is huge, with plenty of counter space and overall, it was the perfect place to rest our heads while exploring the Painted Hills and Sheep Rock. Thanks Erin!

We had a wonderful stay at this marvelous creekside cabin. What an idyllic setting! And an easy drive to see the Painted Hills. The bed was really comfortable, the cooler was generously stocked with eggs, butter, yogurt and beverages, the outdoor kitchen had everything we needed and we enjoyed the hammock and outdoor seating. I would definitely stay again!

We loved our stay at Rimrock Cottage! The space was comfortable and a wonderful home base for visiting the Painted Hills and John Day Fossil Beds. We got a kick out of the local flock of turkeys and seeing dozens of California Quail. Would love to stay here again in the future!

Fantastic stay in a great little Eastern Oregon town. Dajuana’s place was the perfect stopover and launching point to see the John day fossil beds. Mitchell is a fantastic little town, and this place is right in the middle of it! Super spacious with everything we needed. It was quiet, private and very clean and tidy. As AirBnB hosts ourselves, we were super impressed with thoughtful little details like radiators in every room, extra blankets, coffee tea and hot cocoa etc. can’t wait to come back!
