We had the most beautiful, peaceful and relaxing stay at The Anchorage. The location was superb, and the views from the house were my personal favorite part. I spent every spare minute in the sunroom looking at the ocean. There was plenty of space for us to all be comfortable and my children especially enjoyed the kids room with bunk beds! The town is beautiful and there are so many different beach options around to choose from. It is definitely a little stressful driving in the village (coming from from an American haha) but that aside it was a perfect end to our vacation and I plan on booking again (this time with some friends or maybe extended family to fill up the many bedrooms!)

I don’t think the pictures did this place justice- it was absolutely beautiful and homey and had everything we needed, including the comfiest bedding I’ve ever slept in. We were given great recommendations and the communication was quick, friendly and helpful. We did have a few woodlouse and even a beetle in the house but we were warned and there’s repellants so there wasn’t much more that the host could’ve done. The area was so peaceful and it was a perfect break from normal life. Wish we could’ve stayed for longer!

We can’t thank Andy enough for such an amazing stay. He was so helpful and nothing was ever too much trouble. Towels were supplied, everything you need kitchen wise were also supplied, we were made to feel at home from the moment we got there. The views are spectacular, and we got so lucky with the weather. Andy was quick to recommend places to see/places to eat in and around Kingsbridge which in its self was beautiful. He stocked the fire and wood up for us every morning and even warned us about the hot tub temperature (as we would’ve been cooking like lobsters after we heated it abit too much😂). I highly recommend this place and it was well worth the 7 hour drive there and back. 1000 character reviews just aren’t enough for how helpful and welcoming Andy was. We will definitely be back! We had a lovely stay as a group of 6 adults. Staff were lovely and went the extra mile. The house we stayed in was exceptionally clean and tidy. The kitchen was very well equipped with everything we would need. Would recommend to others.

A really lovely week, marred only by a couple of days' rain (which of course was nobody's fault!). Taryn was extremely efficient and responsive. Barbara was charming and helpful, and explained so much about the lambing process. The house was roomy - great for a family party of nine. My granddaughter loved visiting the lambs, and even holding a newly-born lamb in her arms. Wonderful rolling hill farmland to walk the dog. Visits to the sea, Exeter and Totnes were great too. What a great house to stay in, the pictures don’t actually do it justice. It has everything that you could expect and more, plenty of space and stuff to keep children occupied

The house is beautiful and surpassed our expectations, it is very well kept and has great cooking facilities. The hosts were super helpful and very friendly making the whole experience that much better. The house suited our group perfectly and we would definitely stay again.

We had a fantastic time staying at this beautiful cottage. It’s spacious, comfortable, and had everything we needed for a perfect stay. Vanessa was incredibly helpful and quick to respond whenever we had any questions. We’re so grateful for such a wonderful experience and are already planning our next visit!

Polly’s place was in a great, central location in Ashburton, but also quiet and peaceful, which was ideal for us both, very cosy and comfortable for a couple.

We had a very enjoyable stay in this lovely flat. It was situated in an ideal location for both the Hoe/seafront and the city centre. The flat was well equipped and warm and the parking space was a real bonus. William was attentive , asking us if we had arrived safely and if everything was okay. He responded immediately when we had a minor problem. The welcome goodies were much appreciated. Thank you, we will be visiting again.

Such a lovely place, Jackie and John always on site. Peaceful and very well looked after grounds. The apartment was very clean and looked after. Will definitely return.

We had the perfect couple of days by the sea. Kerrie’s place is cosy, brilliantly designed and the bed is sooo comfortable. Exactly what we needed to relax and wake up to the sound of the ocean waves. Kerrie was really helpful with local recommendations and couldn’t have been more accommodating. We will definitely be back, we loved Kingsand and Cawsand!

Upon booking Freya was amazing. She sent the perfect amount of information about how to find the house, where to park, things to do etc. I received a call on the day to say that we could check in early. The house and the location were amazing. Very well done with lots of character. Just steps away from the shops, pubs and restuarants with amazing sea views from the house and the garden which sits above / behind the house. I would recommend this home to anyone. Thanks Freya!

we spent two weeks at Pippa's place. it was everything that we were told and more. Pippa, Matt and the children were very welcoming and friendly. The Annexe is very spacious clean and comfortable with everything you need for a comfortable stay. We would happily stay there again in the future and would absolutely recommend it to friends and family

the place was perfect ! so close to the beautiful town of looe, and even on a wet day we had , there was loads of films and games for the kids to keep them entertained, the views are blinding aswell as got the forest and sea view, robert was excellent and responsive, will definitely be looking to come back down in the summer ☀️

Despite bad weather and a couple of power cuts we had a lovely few days away. The property felt private and not overlooked and was well equiped with everything we needed in the kitchen. A lovely beach is a short walk away, we also took a short drive into looe for a cuppa and cake. We would definitely stay longer next time.

Beautiful house, thoughtfully decorated and a pleasure to spend time in. It is also huge so lots of space to make yourself at home. All appliances, white goods etc in perfect working order and all furniture comfortable and tidy, linens and towels very clean etc. The house throughout was very clean. Parking permits available on arrival so very easy and we had no issues with parking during our week long stay. Easy to walk to the seafront, shopping mall, aquarium etc and we enjoyed the walks. Very small asks would be to provide more dinner plates, side plates and bowls. As a family of 5 we went through everything in a day but it’s not enough to fill the dishwasher so no break from washing up on hols! A few basics like salt, pepper, oil would be welcomed to help with home cooking. As I said very small asks. We had a wonderful stay and would highly recommend this home away from home for anyone travelling to Plymouth.

Very friendly and great communication. Spacious bedrooms that are clean and tidy and are well glazed to minimise traffic noise from the main road. The property is situated near loads of amenities in Plymouth and was easy and quick to get to. The views from the rooms were lovely, tranquil and ever changing with the tide and weather. Just be mindful that to get those views there are loads of steps! There are binoculars in the main bedroom to spot wildlife when the tide is out. There aren’t any bins in the bedrooms or bathroom so had to use my dogs unused poo bags so be prepared. There is a lay-by for locals parking (3 cars) which is straight off the busy main road. I couldn’t park at the back of the property as my SUV was too big to get the right angle to park (as it’s a fairly busy narrow lane) so if you have a small-ish car you’ll be fine. Overall a lovely bungalow to base yourself in Plymouth but just be prepared for the steps and parking.
