Absolutely amazing. Beautiful view of the beach and surrounding area. We got lucky and saw the northern lights! The place was super cozy. Loved the extra effort the hosts put in to make sure we had everything we needed, which included a dog bed, doggy treats and board games. The Christmas tree and bottle of Prosecco were a much appreciated bonus. I will definitely be recommending this place to my friends.

We had an amazing stay! Cottage was perfect, short drive to a lovely town and great to access all parts of the Highlands. Highly Recommend!

A very well equipped house, within walking distance to shops, takeaways and restaurants. The rooms are of generous proportions and big comfortable beds the house has a lovely warm feel to it and the hot tub was a lovely addition. Anne was very responsive in communication I would not hesitate to recommend or re book.

We loved our valentines weekend getaway with our dog Layla. We had brought a bed and dog bowls etc and we didn’t even need these which is so helpful to know next time we visit. There were lovely treats for Layla and she loved the dog barrel bed! What a sleep we had on that mattress it was lovely and so so comfortable. We used up all the fire wood and it was so nice we bought more for our 2nd night what a heat and the dog loved it too. Perfect place for a cosy weekend away. Thanks so much! 💜

Sandra was welcoming and helpful with weather updates as some poor weather moved in. The house was comfortable, clean, and cozy, with beautiful views. Our 4 year old was thrilled to find a chest full of toys.😁

Thank you Peter and Joanna. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at your cottage surrounded by the stunning views coloured in the yellow, red and orange colours of autumn. Wonderful walks and bike trails direct from the cottage. The cottage was so well equipped. Cosy and warm. Lots of wonderful places to visit nearby. Big Burn waterfall walk, Dunrobin Castle and Gardens, Golspie, Ben Bhraggie and Brora. Dornoch, Falls of Shin and Balblair MTB were other lovely places we visited also. We had a very happy time a Big Barns.

What an absolute dream of a place to stay. Recently fully renovated and it is simply stunning. Minutes from the center of Wick and just off the NC 500, Drumdry was an ideal base for exploring the far northeastern corner of Scotland. The cottage was situated among beautiful farm fields and our son loved saying hi every morning to the sheep outside. And I can’t say enough how wonderful the owner is. She not only was so friendly and welcoming when we arrived, she also thoughtfully brought us a bunch of toys for our son to play with and feel more at home. I literally don’t think you could ask for a better host. Indeed our whole experience at Drumdry was so lovely it has reset the bar for what a 5 star stay is. I couldn’t recommend a stay here highly enough!

We had the most incredible stay! Pat was the perfect host and the property was so lovely. We felt right at home and fully relaxed our entire stay. The views are amazing, we had some lovely walks and it was the perfect setting for New Year. Would love to come back in the summer! Thanks so much x

Little gem hidden in a beautiful part of North Scotland. Everything there is done with such an attention to detail, beauty and love for the nature, both in the cottage and outside in the surrounding nature. It is maybe not spectacular, but just homely beautiful, apart from the wind farm near by. There are beautiful short walks just on the farm's doorstep. We loved walking through the native forest looking for hidden carved figures of the 'Green Men'. The cottage itself is just great, clean, beautifully furnished and the cosy fireplace heats up the place very quickly. There is lots to do in this area of Scotland, beautiful beaches, amazing hill walks or just exploring little towns and villages. We had a great time here, cycling, walking and resting. Thank you!

Amazing stay, cottage was in a beautiful location and was well furnished and clean. Lovely kitchen with enough pots pans and utensils to cook anything you need. Made great use of the fire which made the cottage very cosy. On a clear night, you get stunning views of the stars. Kathleen was also very friendly and approachable - wouldn’t want to stay anywhere else next time I come to Hoy!

This is a gorgeous cottage with so many good points - outside space is stunning and there is a lovely walk down to the beach. The cottage is well resourced and relaxing. Everything you need to prepare food is easy to locate and its very clean and tidy. I found the cottage fresh and modern and it felt like a home. The bathroom was lush and the wee corner ensuite toilet and basin were cute and handy for my mum. Loved it all.

The cottage was just as nice as in the video. It was well equipped, with warm comfy beds, nice towels, and plenty of fuel for the wood burners, which warmed the place up in no time. This is the second stay at Elizabeth’s place and will always come back, clean, character, beautiful area and comfy beds (extremely important!!!). There should be more stars 🤩

This place is perfect for a peaceful getaway. The cottage is located just outside Haster and is within a windfarm. The turbines also brought a peacefulness to the stay. The cottage is gorgeous, has a garden to sit/play in and places to park. The dog walk around the cottage is lovely. Inside there is more than enough space, the rooms are all set out well and everything you need is there. The best room in my kind is the one above the kitchen, tucked away and with amazing roof windows. I didnt close the blind, i lay in bed and could see all the stars. The location meant that we could visit, Wick, Cairn o get, Whaligoe steps, many o stanes, Noss Head lighthouse, Sinclairs castle and Bay, Thurso, John o groats, Orkney Mainland, Ebeneezer Place, Trinkie, Thurdle Door, Duncansby, Dunnets Head, beach and Forest Walk. We saw the Falkirk kelpies on the way there and Loch Ness on the way home. Amazing memories. Totally recommend this cottage and beautiful place.

I really enjoyed my recent stay at the Seaview Cottage. If you are looking for a supremely peaceful location with the most stunning views, this is definitely the place. I also found the owner Carol going above and beyond, for example arranging transport for me to pick up my hire car the next day. She even waited outside in the cold with a torch to guide my taxi driver on the first evening, as we arrived in the dark. Highly recommend. PS. I read somebody complaining in one of the other reviews about the (supposed) lack of cleanliness in the cottage and cold shower water, but this is really not true. On the contrary, I found the cottage to be spotlessly clean (and the shower nice and hot, you just have to switch the hot water button on ...).

We had a great time at Elizabeth’s place! The location at the harbor is wonderful and I enjoyed my morning coffee sitting on the bench in front of the house. The kids collected tons of seaglass and shells. You can easily stroll downtown for coffee, food or groceries. The house had lots of space for our family of six to stretch out but still felt cozy. The interior design is thoughtful and very nice. We felt at home the minute we stepped in! The kitchen has all you need to prepare your own meals. Lots of places to explore in the area. We especially enjoyed a hike up in Forsinard. Elizabeth was a attentive host and our communication was always friendly and prompt. I would definitely stay here again when in the area!

Must stay. Near ocean. Can see the ocean and highland cows. Comfortable home and property. Perfect for us and our dog.
