Really beautiful property. I would love to come back the next time I’m in town. Brenda is extremely accommodating and really great at communicating!

My family enjoyed our stay. The location was nice for our plans (some hiking at Little Grand Canyon and visiting Carbondale), beautiful view from the home, loved the hot tub (suspect pool would be awesome in summer too). Very clean, plenty of space for our group. Only change I would make is a bigger kitchen table. We will probably return!

Loved staying at this location. So close to restaurants and shops and outdoor adventures. Very quiet. Amazing views of stars. Plenty of sleeping spaces. Very responsive and helpful host!

Wonderful place just what we needed. With our busy schedule we did not get to use all amenities provided to us but it all looks like a lot of fun

Great people !!! I felt like I was right at home. Definitely above average for a vacation stay. Treated us like family. We need more of that in this world. Unfortunately that good old American way has been slowly disappearing. Definitely not at Marshas it was alive and in the Air.

This was a great place. We'd like to try it again in the warmer months. We stayed during a storm and the home was very relaxing.

Very comfy and beautiful place to stay. Very clean and well kept too. The lake in the yard was also super pretty. Our host was amazing. Very nice, welcoming and gave us privacy too. I highly recommend Martha and her place to stay at!

It’s a nice quiet place in the woods on a dead end road. There’s seriously no traffic. I slept like a baby in a clean bed. The place has new appliances, good lighting, and a great overall ambiance. We found a good movie to watch and went to bed early. Thanks for a nice experience.

What a perfect country retreat for my family’s spring break trip. My wife was beside herself at the attention to original detail in the restoration and decoration of the house. The property is open and expansive, with a woods and pond to explore. Be sure and pet the friendly horses across the street! The house was clean and Ellie is very responsive for any questions or needs. The area is beautiful with a lovely sunset view from the front porch. 45 min to amazing hiking at Garden of the Gods! We look forward to staying at Sandbank Cottage again on our next southern Illinois trip!

We had a great stay here. The lake is beautiful and our kids enjoyed having a swing set and fire pit for family time. The house was clean and we had an easy check in. Highly recommend staying here.

Great place to relax and unwind! Easy to find and with Shopping, restaurants, and outdoor activities, all a short drive, there is something for everyone to do. We had a fantastic time there and would highly recommend.

We had an excellent stay at The Classic. It was beautiful, super clean and the host thought of all the extras that might be needed for convenience or hospitality while we were there. Each bedroom had a portable fan for those who need one while sleeping. The kitchen was stocked with a crockpot, colander, etc.. The property was beautiful with a beautiful lake view in a cove. Would highly recommend and will absolutely look to stay in this property or another property of Allison’s again!! Thank you!!

This was a great spot for our family gathering. Plenty of space for our big group and the kitchen well equipped to prepare and serve several holiday meals. Would love to enjoy the lake on warmer days, so we may plan a trip back in the summer.

I’m a Marion native that now lives away and often rents Airbnbs when I bring my family in to town to visit. This place was by far the best one I’ve rented. The space was perfect for my family, especially my toddler. My relatives and friends could come over for dinner and gather around the dining table for a conversation. I really loved having a garage, the house was spotless, and every amenity was there. I hate to brag too much about the place for fear that it will always be booked when I’m coming to town! But honestly, it was a lovely home and perfect for my family.
