Very well-presented restoration of a piece of history with appropriate furniture and colour palette, yet all the mod cons to be comfortable. Loved the ambience and going on an early morning walk with the chickens and geese

We had a great stay at Theodora's place in Halls Gap. The accommodation was amazing. Very clean, very cosy with beautiful views of the surrounding mountains all while still feeling very private set back off the main road. Everything you need is just a short walk away including restaurants, the brewery, groceries and access to the beautiful national parks. The bed was comfy, towels were fresh and soft, the heating was toasty on the cold mornings and the AC perfect on the hot afternoons. We enjoyed a drink on the balcony watching the kangaroos, ducks and magpies with the stunning back drop of the Grampians. A small group of deer even came in on dusk. Theodora was a fantastic host. With the recent bush fires we had concerns before coming up to the area but Theodora eased our minds. We wouldn't stay anywhere else next time we visit. PS, we arrived to a tasty gift basket with bread, spreads and some delicious fudge!!

Great location, lots of local wildlife with Kangaroos everywhere. Close to the zoo. very comfortable with plenty of sleeping room.

Extremely comfortable, quiet cottage and so conducive to relaxation and restoration. Beautiful surroundings and countryside, with native birds in abundance. Alison was a very helpful and welcoming host who communicated readily.

This was my second stay at Mount Cole Cottages and I’m sure it won’t be my last! Kookaburra Cottage really is the perfect place to unwind and get away from it all. It’s so peaceful sitting on the deck reading and watching the birds, kangaroos and wallabies. Greg is a great host and has thought of everything when equipping the cottage. I can’t recommend a more relaxing place to stay.

what a perfect place to stay! The host was very accommodating and went above and beyond to make sure we had a comfortable stay. This place is surrounded by wildlife, not only that, we were spolied by front row views of The Grampians. Will definitely be returning for a visit

Myself and my bridal party got stayed here and got ready before my wedding. There’s was lots of space and natural like from the big windows which the makeup artist loved. The mountain views from the windows and outside the house are amazing. House well very neat and tidy and had everything we needed.

This place is absolutely incredible! It’s conveniently close to town for anything you might need, yet perfectly secluded for a peaceful and private retreat. It exceeded my expectations, especially with the abundance of wildlife in the nearby wetlands. Ant and Melissa were fantastic hosts, generously sharing their innovative systems and impressive vegetable patch—complete with delicious samples! I highly recommend staying here; you won’t regret unwinding in the wood-fired bath under the stars.

Paul was an exceptional host. The Tiny house was exactly as described with everything we would need for a comfortable stay and so much more. Although tiny, the clever design and thoughtful inclusions meant our family of four had a great time. There were family games, a mini library and the necessities to cook up some family meals. Our kids loved the sleeping nook, ability to roast marshmallows and feeding the friendly camels a bag of carrots. Can highly recommend Paul’s tiny house for a memorable stay.

Beautiful country stay. Enough beds to feet a large group and a beautiful pool to dip into to escape the heat.

Pillows and Jam was absolutely pristine! You can tell that Megan really cares about this place and the people that come along to stay here. The insta-gram page reflects this perfectly. Amazing and delicious little goodie basket on arrival and I couldn’t point out one thing wrong with the place. So peaceful and only 6 minutes from Ararat Main St! Megan was very responsive via messages with some great local recommendations and always friendly and human! And definitely be getting in touch to try organise some big jars of honey and jam!

This is great place to stay. So much room and very comfortable. Peaceful and quiet yet close to town. Appreciated the aircon was already on when we arrived on a very hot day. Thoughtful hosts.

Loved the kangaroos and alpacas!

Camping area is a short walk from the main residence and amenities, had all we needed - light, hot water, barbecue and fire pits. Short 20 min drive from Horsham and not far from Halls Gap too! We were unlucky with the weather for camping but the host - Paul was very accommodating offering us space for refuge during the storm, even saved the day when we needed a jump-start! We are looking forward to summer camping and absolutely will be coming back to check out the other tiny home spaces on offer at the property. Thank you for such an easy and stress-free stay Paul, see you next time!

One of the best hostels we’ve stayed in! All common spaces were really clean and well maintained. Staff were really friendly and helpful, and we loved the kangaroos roaming in the gardens

We attended a wedding at Eurambeen and Liza’s place was just perfect for the weekend. She was accommodating with a couple of special requests and gave us excellent intel on fun things to do in the area. Highly recommend!

Very relaxing stay, in a great central, quiet location , with amazing views.

We attended our daughters Wedding at Mt. William Station on Friday and were lucky enough to stay so close to the venue at this lovely Cottage. Victoria was kind enough to bend the rules so we could stay with our two much loved older small dogs and it was such a relief to be close enough to check on them while the Wedding was on. We stayed with our son and his wife and would all have loved to be able to spend more time enjoying the cottage but were so happy with what time we had there. Thanks again Victoria for letting us stay and hope we left all as we would like people to leave our place.

Kelly's place was fantastic! Excellently located in the heart of halls gap and quiet enough to watch the wildlife walking by all day. A very short walk to the shops and restaurants and super close to all the parks and attractions. The grampians are the most beautiful backdrop and it felt very warm and inviting. We were very grateful for Kelly being so accommodating and allowing us to check in early and check out late. Our family from Canada were with us and absolutely loved the getaway and seeing a beautiful part of Victoria. Thank you Kelly, we will be sure to visit again!
