This was a perfect two night getaway with our family. The house is very clean. The views are beautiful. There are lots of things to do in the area not far from the house. We enjoyed taking the short path to the brewery for a couple of meals. The food is great! We sat by the fire and soaked in the hot tub. Martha’s instructions were very easy to follow to check in and checkout. She was very responsive. We appreciate that she also offered plenty of suggestions for things to do in the area. We visited for the weekend and had a wonderful stay. Peaceful, unique, clean - first words that come to mind when thinking of the Fenton Inn. Recommend making reservations in advance (when needed) for local dining as some of the breweries have limited seating availability due to COVID. Recommend Bold Rock for great food, views, and outdoor dining. We drove to Crabtree Falls for the day, great hike and drive along the Blue Ridge parkway which is just minutes from this location. Excited to see a couple black bear cubs!

Fairview is an absolute gem! This circa 1867 historic home provided the perfect setting for our family Christmas. The charm and character of the house made us feel completely at home, and the accommodations were nothing short of perfect for our entire family. The thoughtful welcome treats and fresh flowers were such a warm and special touch that made us feel instantly at ease. The home was clean and thoughtfully stocked with everything we needed to pull off a wonderful Christmas dinner. The kitchen had all the essentials, making it so much easier to prepare and enjoy our meal together. The spectacular mountain views added a peaceful backdrop, and the resident peacock was a delightful surprise, bringing laughs and joy to our grandchildren. If you’re looking for a place that combines history, beauty, and comfort, Fairview is the perfect choice. We’ll cherish the memories we made here and hope to return someday!

The farmhouse at Fairview was beautiful, comfortable, and perfect! We had a wonderful long weekend there, enjoying the peacefulness and gorgeous views. Jennifer was the perfect host, responsive, welcoming, and helpful, but also giving us privacy to make us feel like we had our own private country home to get away to. I definitely want to come back! :)

Elliott's place is private and peaceful. A nice natural setting alongside a steam. I loved the native woods utilized in the interior, not the usual cheap sheetrock walls painted grey and white, that's everywhere nowadays. Although in a mountain valley, the spot is not cut off from sunlight, there is sunlight in both the morning and the evening, close to the specified times. As a naturalist, I found the setting okay, except for observing several aggressive invasive plant species encroaching upon the development site and expanding outward into the forest. That's what is guaranteed to happen when the soil is disturbed in Virginia. There are no restaurants close by, so you probably will be cooking. We found the usual kitchen problems. A shortage of LIDS and a shortage of smaller size pots and pans. I've realized that this same problem is widespread across Airbnb sites from my experience. Overall it was great and we appreciate the opportunity !

We loved staying here! It's a beautiful home with a great view. Communication was great. We would definitely stay here again. - It was a 4-5 min drive to the parking area (skiing) or you can park at the spa and take the shuttle. - The top floor is a large bedroom and bathroom, then two bedrooms on the main floor (with two separate bathrooms) and the bottom floor is large with the pool table / another living area, and hot tub outside. The bottom floor has 3 BRs but only one bathroom FYI. Not a problem for us but something to keep in mind when splitting up the spaces.

We have stayed at Glen’s property for the past four years. It is an annual tradition we will maintain for so many reasons: amenities, location, and charm.

I booked a last minute spontaneous mental health getaway to the mountains of Virginia. I loved the apartment and the hosts were so accommodating. I had everything I needed and more during my stay. My favorite part was the claw leg tub and the deck. Both perfect for winding down. The location is great because there is a lot to do nearby. You can be in Charlottesville or the Shenandoah National Park south entrance in about 20 mins. My only regret is that I didn’t stay longer to enjoy the Airbnb and more of the area.

Gorgeous surroundings. The cabin itself is better than the pictures. It is a wonderful place to relax, unwind and enjoy nature. Bill is an excellent host. I felt very comfortable communicating with him. He left a detailed instruction booklet, complete with the story of the cabin. Reading it made me feel like I had met him in real life and had a personal connection.

I had a great stay! Such a cozy, safe feeling in the quaint cabin. I found it extremely relaxing and I was able to decompress. The surrounding were also very peaceful. I had an amazing view of the sunsets every night. All the appliances worked great, including the stove. The check in and out was extremely easy and all of my communication with the host was very friendly and responded to right away. I hope to be back, thank you so much!

We loved the coziness and comfort of the house! Our kids loved sleeping all together in the twin/trundle beds. We will definitely be back!

This house was amazing to stay at! The plan was just to find an Airbnb to stay at while we skied at wintergreen, but we ended up getting rained out and spent almost the whole time in the house. I was so fun the house is full of surprises and fun board games we weren't board for a minute! The beds were super comfortable, and the kitchen has everything you need to cook!

This was our second stay at this beautiful cabin we absolutely love it. Lots of fun things to do in the area. We did some four wheeling and some fly fishing. The cabin is very clean and comfortable. We will definitely be back!

The place was very clean and perfect for us — 2 couples and a couple of small dogs. We came to town to enjoy some skiing at wintergreen and found the location convenient for access to the resort at a very fair price. It was a very cold weekend so we didn’t get much opportunity to enjoy the outdoor patio or fire pit but we enjoyed the view of the beautiful creek.

Beautiful, peaceful, and relaxing. The host is responsive, respectful, and reactive to your needs. Worth every penny, and every minute spent to get there.

Highly recommend this home for your Wintergreen stay. First, the hosts were extremely proactive in sending detailed information from check-in instructions to suggestions on local activities. The host was responsive within minutes with any questions we had. The house is very well stocked with everything you will need for your stay. The house was very clean, spacious, and comfortable. It was perfect for 3 couples in our party, not many homes have 3 master suites. The house has 2 family rooms which added great additional space. The location is convenient to the Wintergreen lodge, not ski in/ski out but an easy drive down to the resort, seriously just a few minutes. I highly recommend waking up early to enjoy the beautiful sunrise from the big window on the main level, can't beat the views. Everyone in our party was extremely happy with our stay.

TDLR version: If you have a big group (more than 5) for a ski trip at Wintergreen, and are looking at places to stay, you better book this place fast because it won’t be there later. 100% worth it. No complaints at all. Longer review: This place had everything we expected and more. Big living room area for gatherings, pristine kitchen with huge counter and dining table. Appliances looked brand new as well. There’s a mudroom with a separate entrance to put all your board/ski gear in to keep the house clean. The back deck is very spacious, and the gazebo has a light under it for late nights outside. Internet worked great the whole stay as well. All in all, it felt like we were staying at resort lodging, while having a private host on speed dial. Gina was an amazing host, being very responsive, giving detailed yet not overly complicated instructions and rules for the house, and being understanding when problems arose. 12/10 would stay again.

My husband had a great time hosting a Bachelors weekend for one of his good friends. The guys loved the stay at the cabin and loved that it was so close to skiing. They would definitely stay again and maybe next time I can go!

The house is amazing! The space is beautiful, clean, and luxurious. It is probably the nicest airbnb we’ve ever stayed in! The location is peaceful and has great hiking spots and wineries close by. This was a perfect spot for a getaway weekend with a group of friends!

Great place! We love this area of Wintergreen. Willette’s place was clean and had all we needed. Communication was excellent. We would definitely stay again.

We had a wonderful stay at Deanie’s place. It was beautiful. It was comfortable. Everything was clean and neat. The kitchen was fully stocked. The beds and linens were super comfortable. We also enjoyed the pool, the view and the people! Everyone was just wonderful. I highly recommend!!!!! Also, don’t forget to get on the list for breakfast. We were only there two mornings, but the food was very good and my family is still talking about it. I hope to return there again in the near future.
