FALL GETAWAY-Stayed Oct 18-20, 2024 with friends. The surroundings at this cottage in the fall are absolutely beautiful lots of fall colours and wildlife. There's a lovely beach just down the road we had great weather so it was nice to go for a walk, very peaceful not allot of people this time of year. We had dinner at Macphersons on Friday night which was very good and pizza the following night at Grogs which was also very good. Host Rebecca was wonderful, helpful, very worry free experience. Great cottage very clean had everything you would need to enjoy your stay. Fantastic getaway to unwind and enjoy the outdoors would highly recommend.

Linda and Robert's Acorn Lodge was both expansive and airy and super cozy and warm. There were so many meaningful and interesting details but my family and I spent most of our time gathered in the fireplace in front of the beautiful windows. Our group ranged in ages from 2 months to 70 years and everyone had a wonderful time. The older kids loved the pool table, piano and privacy of the basement bedrooms and the adults loved the hospitality of the large gathering rooms in the living room and kitchen. And the 3-year old is still talking about his hike to the treehouse! There is a Kroger less than 15 minutes away so we did our shopping there and made great family style meals for 10. A few us also traveled to Mt. Holly for skiing, about 30 minutes away. A very special place - would love to return.

We enjoyed a few days at Troy’s lake house. Contacted Troy about the Heat not being on but with a flip of a switch it warmed right up. Troy was very responsive during our stay. We will be back to enjoy in the warm weather!

I can’t say enough about how incredible our Airbnb experience was! Christie was super friendly and responsive, and she had fantastic recommendations for things to do nearby. The check-in and check-out process was a breeze, and the home was fully stocked with everything we could possibly need—and then some! My family stayed for five days, and my kids are already asking me to plan our next visit! Christie went above and beyond, helping us find great restaurants and activities, even while she was away on a cruise( how incredible is that). If you’re looking for a cozy and welcoming place to stay, whether it’s just for yourself or with the whole family, this is definitely the spot to book!

I had a fantastic stay at this Airbnb! The space was wonderfully decorated with a charming and cozy aesthetic, and it was impeccably clean throughout. The host was exceptionally friendly and always available to answer any questions, which made the experience even more enjoyable. Access to the property was smooth and hassle-free, and I felt completely safe during my stay. Highly recommended

This is a basement apartment Airbnb, which I usually try to avoid, as we have experienced a basement Airbnb where we could hear every word the owners above us were saying. But this basement Airbnb we could not hear anything above us, so it was private. There is a soaking tub/shower with a rain shower shower head. The tub/shower, being a soaking tub, is high to get in and out of. But it has excellent water pressure. The bathroom is not right next to the bedrooms. We always bring our own nightlights in case this is the case. So, with the tall tub and bathroom not near the main bedroom, I am not sure I would recommend it for older people such as ourselves, but for a younger person, it would be perfect.

I had an enjoyable stay at Helen's place. It was easy to find and conveniently located with a Walmart Super Store nearby. Check-in was quick with a numeric lock through a private entrance. There was a long stair case leading up to the apartment which I wasn't expecting. The unit was nice and clean with a private balcony overlooking the Sydenham River and situated right next to a bridge. I could hear a "river of cars' during rush hours which I soon got used to. The kitchen was brightly lit and well equipped with a large industrial size sink. There were two seatings to choose from for meals, between a more traditional dining table and a higher table with bar chairs. The bedroom was spacious. Despite the lack of a closet, the host was thoughtful with providing a coat rack with hangers. Helen was accommodating with my request for relatively scent free linens since I am sensitive to the scent of most laundry detergents and dryer sheets. Thank you Helen!

I had an amazing stay at Pam’s place! The home was clean, cozy, and had everything I needed. The location was perfect, and Pm & Ashley was super helpful, making sure I had all the info I needed for a great stay. I would definitely stay again and highly recommend it to anyone looking for a comfortable and welcoming place to stay! I Highly recommend it!
