⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ I would love to extend a five-star review for Paul, even though I was unable to make my trip due to an ice storm in eastern NC. What was supposed to be a long weekend getaway was reduced to less than a day and a half, making the trip impossible. Paul was incredibly gracious and allowed a full refund, prioritizing the safety of myself and my child over rigid policies. His kindness and understanding made a disappointing situation much easier to navigate. I was so looking forward to staying at his oceanfront place in the winter—the solitude and peace of the beach during the off-season is my favorite. Plus, the south end of Wrightsville Beach is an absolute treasure. I truly hope the opportunity arises in the future to book with Paul again. His generosity and hospitality speak volumes, and I wouldn’t hesitate to stay at his place when I finally get the chance!

We came down to elope on the beach. I absolutely loved this condo! It was spotless, well-stocked, and had the most perfect view. I felt like I was sitting right on the beach. The bed was super comfy, and the condo had everything I needed for a relaxing stay. I also appreciated the thoughtful touches, like the little book with recommendations for great restaurants and fun activities for kids. It made planning so much easier! I would definitely stay here again. Highly recommend!

Stayed in Lynne's place for our annual emergency services conference. The host hotel was located directly across the street, but for the value, we chose Lynn's place for the extra room and comfort. We were able to attend all the festivities at the hotel as we could walk over and back. The property is located in a beautiful area with a great view of the USS North Carolina battleship and the Cape Fear River. Her place was clean and looked just like the pictures she represents on her site. Thank you, Lynne, for being a great host and we look forward to staying there again on our next trip to Wilmington!

My husband and I booked this property to celebrate our 22nd anniversary, and it surpassed our expectations. The location was fabulous, in walking distance of all restaurants, bars and stores with plenty to do. The balcony with its spectacular view made for a perfect evening with a glass of wine. We will definitely be back!

Ryan's place was in a great location, as described & what we needed for our short stay. He too was a very good host. Would definitely rebook on our return visits if available.

We travel to Wilmington a few times a year to see my daughter in college. This was by far the nicest airbnb we have stayed in. Yes it can be loud at night but you are right in the middle of everything. Shopping, restaurants, bars, river walk. We had a teenager with us so we were able to walk right downstairs to go to a few bars but not be too far away from her. The balcony back deck is great too. She felt like she was at the club on Friday and Saturday nights. The sound machine in the bedroom was great to override the noise when it was time for bed. Kathleen was so friendly and helpful and communicated throughout our stay. She was even there when we arrived to make sure we knew where to park. The unit came with two parking spots which was great when my older daughter came into downtown to visit. We would love to stay at this spot again!

The review provided was actually not the Salty Seahorse, but to a single home in Kure Beach, one block from the ocean. Due to an unforeseen maintenance need, Carrie Ann reached out and offered her newly acquired Kure Beach home for our upcoming stay in Wilmington. Host, Carrie Ann, was very attentive and accommodating and luckily had a location where we could stay. The home was spotless, very nicely decorated with a well stocked kitchen - plenty of everything needed! The bathroom provided toiletries and an ample supply of linens. The furniture was comfortable, including the porch table, chairs and umbrella - where we enjoyed coffee each morning. There was a slight drain issue to which we reached out to Carrie Ann and she immediately responded. The problem was quickly and thoroughly dealt with within about an hour of my reaching out to her. I would highly recommend this home and, Carrie Ann exceeded my definition of a super host or prime host! Excellent experience!

I enjoyed a wonderful stay! The home is a block off of the beach. You can hear the waves crashing into the beach from the front and back decks. The location is perfect!

Our stay at The Little House was nothing short of amazing! From the moment we arrived, we were mesmerized by the stunning ocean views and the calming sound of the waves just outside. Waking up to the sight of the sea each morning felt like a dream, and the serene atmosphere made for the perfect escape. The home was cozy, well-appointed, and just steps from the beach. If you're searching for a peaceful retreat with unbeatable views, this is the place to be! We can’t wait to return!

My recent stay at the Regency that exceeded our expectations! The property was exactly as described, with cozy decor and all the amenities needed for a comfortable stay. The location was perfect—close to local attractions yet tucked away in a quiet neighborhood, which allowed for a peaceful retreat after a day of exploring. However, there was one drawback that I feel is worth mentioning: the cleaning fees. While I understand that cleaning fees are standard, I was surprised to find that, despite paying a significant amount for cleaning, guests were still asked to load the dishwasher and start a load of laundry before checking out. This felt a bit contradictory, and it made me question the value of the cleaning fee itself. I would highly recommend this Airbnb to anyone looking for a charming and convenient place to stay. I can’t wait to come back!

Nicholas was a great host. We had no issues. This place is in a beautiful setting on the river. Very clean . It’s a very family friendly place to stay . We’d love to go back .

My stay at this house was amazing! We had a wonderful time! The home is beautiful, and the water views from both the front and back were so peaceful. Beach access is less than five minutes away, making it incredibly convenient. We spent a lot of time on the back balconies, just watching the water, boats, and birds. The elevator was not only super cool but also very convenient. Every room was beautifully decorated, and the entire house was just so nice. We also ate at Lake Park Steakhouse, which was right around the corner, and the food was amazing! The steaks were cooked to perfection, and the create-your-own salad menu had so many great options. This home truly made our weekend trip even better!

We had unforeseen circumstances that required us to book a new stay last minute late at night on a Friday. The host was responsive immediately and accommodated us. The house was clean and beautiful. It was a short drive to the beach. It was a great space to relax at whole unwinding from from the sand and sun. They provided great recommendations and we would definitely stay there again. This home exceeded our expectations and made our beach trip even more memorable! Very roomy with a great outside space over-looking the marsh so we could watch the wildlife as we drank our coffee. The walk to be beach was close and easy. And it was perfect for cooking our Thanksgiving dinner in the well-equipped kitchen. Bob and Donna were so responsive and quick to help with any question! A definite place to return and spend more time!

Great place to stay and relax. Picked a place on the intercostal water to crab but only caught a few. Maybe August was too late. I liked how she had a lot of towels and labeled where things went in the kitchen. Plenty of stuff such as paper towel, trash bags, dish washer pods, and laundry pods, etc. I’ve rented places before where we had to go buy trash bags and other stuff for the stay.

Tara's place is great! Perfect location, easy to navigate and parking included near by. Tara was easy to communicate with and very responsive. Wonderful place to home base as you explore the area

Chad place was very neat, clean, smelled good, and directly on the beach, plus he left my husband and I a welcome basket with snacks and water. Chad was a very responsive, friendly, helpful and awesome host, he even let us check in early!! We had our own parking space and check in was super easy! I can honestly say Chad's place was one of the best ones we've stayed in so far and the next time we come back to Kure Beach you can best believe we're booking his Airbnb. Thanks again Chad for your hospitality, you made us feel sooooo welcome🤗

This is home away from home. We tried another place a few months ago. It was not the same. We will only stay at this condo. See you again in the near future.

Seeing the sunrise and sunset with the battleship is really nice. The place is so cozy and the basic necessities are complete. Aaron was friendly and very responsive, will definitely stay here again.

The space was lovely! We very much enjoyed the walkability to all of the downtown, and the view was amazing. The battleship is directly across the water which was so so cool. We stayed for Valentine's Day and being in the heart of downtown Wilmington was wonderful!! The WiFi did not work, and never came back on for us even after the host gave us tips to fix it (and the host was amazing to communicate about that!). Also, the TV was telling us that the storage was full every 10ish minutes, making watching anything on it a bit of a pain. These are SMALL "issues" and would not stop us from staying here again! The location, view, and communication from the host vastly outweighed the small tweaks that would have improved our stay.

my wife and I have a few one or two day getaway locations we love. we've just added this to our list. condo was clean, great space for two people with a great view. location couldn't be better. walking distance to great restaurants, ice cream, coffee and the parking claimed to be a 2-minute walk it was more like 45 seconds for me. thank goodness for her very detailed instructions including pictures. I can mess up directions in a heartbeat but these were clearly laid out.

This was a great place to stay! I looked up many places on CB and this was definitely the best. The view is amazing and it is right beside the drive able beach for 4WD vehicles. The Airbnb was spotless and we can’t thank Chris enough for being a great host!
