The home was charming, cozy and clean! The hosts left eggs, bacon and biscuits in the fridge for breakfast the first morning, and there was a cake and snacks! That was a sweet, welcoming touch. They also decorated a really cute Christmas tree for us!! The whole experience was amazing. My family enjoyed their stay, and we would definitely recommend this spot!

Our stay at the Lake House was so amazing we had to extend our stay. The pictures do not do this place justice. It is a very unique private home with lake access and great amenities like being a gated property. My husband and I stayed at this location for almost two months and thoroughly enjoyed our stay. The beds were super comfy and the kitchen appliances are brand new, everything in the house is actually a new build. Ashley as a host was super helpful and made sure we had what we needed for a great stay! I would recommend this to anyone staying short or long term. Again, the place is far nicer than the Airbnb pictures portray it to be. They even installed a mailbox for our long term stay which we are super thankful for. Ashley and her husband were amazing hosts throughout our stay, we are grateful that we were able to experience the Lake House. If I could rate it 10 stars, I would. ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

This place was perfect for a post-Christmas getaway for our family. It was quiet and peaceful. We loved playing the supplied games and brought some of our own. It was close to Petit Jean, which we visited. We brought our two pups and they just loved the big fenced in yard. Wish the weather would have cooperated more, but certainly not hosts fault. The only negative is that there were some mouse dropping in the cabinets and drawers in the kitchen and we saw a couple roaches. Other than that, the place was amazing. Would absolutely stay here again if the opportunity arose.

My husband and I loved everything about this place! It was perfect for our weekend getaway. The Rusty Star was very cozy and the location was absolutely beautiful. We would definitely love to come back!

Good location for visiting surrounding State Parks

A beautiful and charming historic home. Doug had great recommendations of local things to do, and it was great to do things that I never had the chance to when I previously lived in Arkansas. Doug was extremely responsive when I had questions, and was extremely friendly. The internet at the house was fast and easy to connect to. I was able to work while others streamed content during our down-time. We had a great time during our stay, and we'll be back if we have plans in the area again!

This is a clean, comfortable place to relax and unwind. The view of the lake is better than in the pictures. Excellent host communication. We loved our stay and hope to return subject to availability of this property.
