This home is amazing! It was perfect for our group of ten family members that were in the area to celebrate a wedding for the weekend. Our hosts could not have been more accommodating and we were so impressed with their hospitality!! So many nice touches and such a spacious, comfortable home - no detail overlooked. Enjoyed our stay immensely and would definitely return.

Beautiful place as shown in picture. Rex was very helpful and responsive when we had questions. The place have lot of interesting collections to check out but we didn't have enough time to check em all.Peaceful stay.

We enjoyed our stay, lots to do with in a few miles. There are some games to play while we enjoyed a fire. We had a projector so we enjoyed a movie later on upstairs in the loft. Thank you for the relaxing time.

What a special special place - the place is a very cute destination for a little getaway! The house is located on their massive property where you're far enough from any neighbors or the road that you truly feel like you are in nature. Expect to see Deer and Turkeys wandering around the property as well as countless squirrels and chipmunks running between the trees. It's only about a 20minute drive into Portland, but you also have access to so many cute hiking trails and I'd definitely recommend driving north up to Tassel Top Park where you'll be met with a very cute campground and picture perfect beach and lake!

The apartment was perfect for our long weekend. Very comfortable and we loved the location near the beach. Jess was super responsive and we had everything we needed. I would love to stay here again.

The cottage was very comfortable. While there were many other houses/cottages on the street, it was fairly quiet (especially after Labor Day!), the walk to the beach was easily accessable, the salt marsh behind us was full of egret activity and very relaxing to just sit and watch the natural habitat. We had a wonderfully relaxing week, enjoyed the seafood and went on a couple daytrips to see lighthouses. A great vacation - just what we had hoped for!!!

We assembled extended family over Christmas at a couple of AIRBNBs. This house was perfect for the purpose. Great large well equipped kitchen! Two big ovens. Two microwaves. Various coffee makers (espresso, high end self grinding drip, French Press), six burner gas range, big refrigerator plus drinks refrigerator. Lots of living areas including a dining room and a massive “barn” which is separately heated, has a wood burning fireplace, pool table, pinball machines and lots of furniture. Great place. Full disclosure—we had a problem you won’t because it was that the heat failed and the boiler needed to be replaced (which will no doubt be done before your rental). The owner was all over the problem. Got a tech to show up overnight on Christmas Eve and got us lots of space heaters. This owner really cared! Highly recommend this house. It is around 220 years old so do expect steep staircases and some sloping floors (from settlement). But lots of fun!

Stayed here one night to get away after finishing a large project at work. The place made me feel right at home and I was able to relax and unwind. The hot tub was great and the hosts were attentive to my request for help when taking the cover off and putting it back on. They also provide many recommendations for things to do in the area. Lots of movies too!

My girlfriends and I had an amazing time staying at Tara’s farm. It is in rural Buxton which is a bit secluded, but it made our stay so peaceful and relaxing. When we wanted to go out on the town, it was about a half hour drive to Kennebunkport and 45 minutes to Freeport, which was easy, scenic drives. Tara was so kind and helpful from the time we booked to the day we left. She was communicative about things to do nearby, how to check in & out, and we even got to chat while we watched her take care of her horses. Overall it was such a fun first stay in Maine and we will be going back in the future!!

Dan and Jane have a beautiful home. They were extremely kind and I can’t thank them enough for allowing me and the kids to meet their horses. It is a wonderful property on a serene landscape. The pictures don’t do it justice. We will certainly be back.

If you're looking for a beautiful rustic place to stay in Maine and get away from the city and its light pollution, I highly recommend Stephanie's listing! Being surrounded by trees, the sounds of farm animals, and the stars at night was so lovely. Stephanie was friendly and also prompt with replying. I would definitely stay here again if I came back up to Maine, esp at the price point.

Nice little cozy cottage, well located. Only a few minutes drive from a few beaches (Drakes Island, Wells) and relatively close to the nice towns of Kennebunk Port and Ogunquit. Great breakfast and coffee option only a few steps away at our hosts coffee shop. Jacqueline and Phil are great hosts! We will be back!

Beautiful house on lake property. It was peaceful, quiet, comfortable, gorgeous views and great for our family. We would like to stay again in warmer weather. Sue was an excellent host. I can't say enough good things about her and her helpfulness, care, concern that we were doing well, and promptly responding to any questions . She really made us feel like it was home.

Loved this home. Plenty of space for a girls getaway weekend away from the hustle & bustle! Everything has been re-done in this home and was a really fun weekend. Very comfortable and host was very responsive. Rob shoved the driveway prior to our arrival & We knew there was snow expected so brought some rock salt and shovels to keep the walk area safe!

We stayed at Heather’s place for a nice fall weekend in October and we did not regret it! We loved the proximity to her goat pen and went to say hello/bye to them anytime we came and went! The airstream is nice and cozy and surprisingly roomy! Close to Kennebunk/Kennebunkport and easy access to anything you need. We love a unique stay and will definitely be coming back!

Second visit- and still a great place to stay! We last visited during COVID and were impressed at how clean and cozy the place was. This time we came back and used the house as a home base for hikes and adventures in the area. It was as nice as we remembered and we spent a wonderful long weekend there.

Enjoyed our stay with George and Ethel! George was extremely communicative leading up to and the day of our stay to make sure we arrived without a hitch. Traveling with dogs can be tough, and options can be limited, but George and Ethel made us feel right at home, including a welcome doggie basket for our pups. Nestled in nature, this is wonderful hideaway from the hustle and bustle. Feeding the wild turkeys was the highlight of our mornings there. Thank you George and Ethel, I hope we can be back to stay again!

Our family had a wonderful stay at Flanagan Farm. Our kids loved exploring every nook and cranny of the barn connected to the house, and even created a special "kids club" in the upstairs area. The kitchen had everything we needed and we ended up making a beautiful dinner one night with fresh produce from the Portland Farmers Market (on Saturdays). Mike was very helpful and responded quickly to all of our questions. I would highly recommend anyone to stay here!

Claire and Karen's home was the perfect destination for our Christmas gathering. The house was super clean and well equipped with anything a guest could need. The three story living worked well with adult children and the open layout was great for cooking, eating and spending time as a group. A detailed "welcome book" provided local recommendations which was greatly appreciated and made our arrival and departure a breeze. It was a beautiful setting with extra touches that made it feel warm and inviting. I highly recommend this property and want to thank both Claire and Karen for making our holiday special and sharing their beautiful home!

We had a very nice and relaxing stay with beautiful sunlight each morning and a peaceful view of the horses in a quiet town near the Portland attractions. The beds were comfortable and the large bath tub was a plus - sweet Rudy (the owner’s dog) was another bonus.

This was a quiet and peaceful cabin on a beautiful lake house road. The house was clean and cozy with everything we needed. The beds were comfortable and the kitchen was stocked with plenty of cooking supplies. Paul was very friendly and responsive. My husband and I highly recommend this property if you’re looking for a private cabin in the woods. Paul, thanks for sharing your home with us. We had a memorable vacation.

This was by far the best AirBnB experience we've had. The home was immaculate, unique, and we had more than enough space for our family of four. Alan and Karyn went out of their way to make us feel welcome and truly created an experience for us. They responded to our messages within minutes and genuinely cared about how we were enjoying our stay. We will absolutely be staying here again when we're back in the area.
