We had a great long weekend stay. The house was spacious and well appointed. We loved sitting outside under the stars and playing with the kids in the sunroom. Was such a nice touch to have kids toys at the house and lots of space to gather. We had one issue with the HVAC but each space had a window AC unit and the host was super helpful and responsive. Would 100% recommend and stay again.

Gorgeous view out the back over the York River. We went crabbing from the dock and had multiple bonfires after watching the most beautiful sunsets from the back yard. Fantastic outdoor amenities including a cook shack, outdoor refrigerator, multiple dining tables, and hot tub. Landscaping was immaculate. Located on a quiet road with absolutely no light pollution so the star gazing at night is flawless! Only a few cons that I would make guests aware of. First, is that it is a very rural location with few dining/entertainment options nearby. It's a good 25min to Yorktown, 40min to Williamsburg, and 50+ mins to Hampton. You could spend your entire vacation in the backyard or fishing from the dock and probably not be disappointed, but be aware that you will have a long drive to dining/entertainment. The second was that it wasn't the most kid's friendly. There are no bath tubs, only showers, no bunk/kid beds, and no toys for young kids. If those don't bother you, then you'll love it!

We had a wonderful stay on John’s property. The house was as described, an older home, but we loved the quirkiness. It’s a peaceful area on the beach with beautiful scenery. We came during a snow storm. The snow on the beach was beautiful. We enjoyed sitting in the hot tub while admiring the snow. John was quick to respond and very friendly and helpful. We will definitely be return guests.

We loved our stay at the "bay house" as we called it. It was beautiful and thoughtfully restored, with lots of gear for enjoying the water and outdoors, which we appreciated even though we were staying in January. The heating system throughout the house kept us comfortable even though it was cold and windy during our trip. We used the hot tub in the side addition the first night and loved it. The timing of our trip worked out perfectly during a water outage in Richmond, where we live, and Richard allowed our trip to be extended an extra night. The setting of the house was beautiful in the snow, and was a lovely space to walk around and explore with a pup when the cabin fever set in. Richard was incredibly responsive anytime I reached out with a question. We all talked about wanting to return in the summer! Would definitely recommend to anyone!

From the moment you walk through the door the view welcomes you and says “relax”. Jennifer went above and beyond to make us feel welcome. Drinks and snacks, local recipe to make during our stay and plenty to do without ever leaving the property. You basically just need to bring your clothes. She’s got everything else covered! We will definitely be back to enjoy warmer weather activities, but coming to visit in the fall, I highly recommend if you’re in need of some down time with the fam!!

We loved The Crab Shack. It was a comfortable, cozy place right on the water with an outstanding view. The amenities were great! We felt like we were at home but in a really special location. We hope to return very soon!

I love Donna’s place so much . She is the best host, always available and a really kind person. Will always stay at her place while visiting my daughter and my new grandbaby ( until I buy a place so I can be near my grandbaby lol)

Beautiful place to stay for a getaway in a beautiful location. Cozy, quiet, and peaceful! 10/10 would recommend for anyone not wanting to stay in the city!

Seaglass Cottage was the perfect place to stay overnight for a small family if you don't want to do the hotels! Susan was wonderful and responsive. The best part was how clean the place was and the location to everything. SPOTLESS!!!! We came to town to visit the aquarium and it was about 5-10minutes away! Friendly neighborhood also. Thank you Susan!!!!

I cannot find the words to express our families stay. When I say this was the best stay at an ABNB we have had thus far it was. The outside itself from the landscaping to the scenery was breathtaking. Checking in was a breeze. Once inside pictures cannot begin to show the beauty of this property. The hosts have really thought through a guest experience. They went over and beyond hosts duties adding extreme attention to details. Anything and everything you may need or want for your stay was there. Even with all the extra amenities and the beauty of the home our family instantly felt at home. We loved our stay so much we have already booked our next stay.

We loved our stay here! It was such a cute and cozy place and we’re already talking about trying to come back for the summer! It’s a fairly short walk to the beach and only a short distance from shops and restaurants. Our furbaby loved the fenced in yard and was even given some treats in a welcome basket, which was so thoughtful. Would definitely recommend staying here!!

I loved my stay at this lake house! The location is beautiful and offers a private retreat from the hustle and bustle of city living. The host was very responsive and friendly. Would definitely recommend this airbnb for a couple or solo retreat!

This sweet cottage was so clean and so comfortable. Very comfy beds and living room furniture. The screened in porch and deck had plenty of sitting. It was beautifully decorated and had one of the best well stocked kitchens of any airbnb we have ever stayed at. Great shower and fluffy towels. We spent one day at Havens Beach and were able to take provided beach chairs and beach towels. We also enjoyed eating at Southwinds Pizza in the little town of Matthew’s. Would definitely come back!

Beautiful home, next to a peaceful nature preserve. Thoughtful touches throughout the home to make your stay easier. Such a great retreat for our family and only about 15-20 minutes from 64, the Colliseum area!

My wife and I absolutely loved the cottage at Locklies Innlet. The combination of the beautiful water views and the cozy fireplace was exactly what we were looking for. The kitchen was well stocked for us to make our breakfasts every morning, and there was a terrific restaurant in walking distance. The cottage was very clean and welcoming. We felt right at home as soon as we walked in. Cornelia was extremely friendly and responsive. We will definitely be back!

We loved staying at this beautiful and peaceful house! The house cozy and we felt right at home! It even snowed when we stayed in Delaville! The sunset was gorgeous and it even more amazing with a layer of snow! Would definitely love to come visit again in the summer! Thanks for a lovely weekend!

Such a great location - just a short walk from the beach. Front porch is a great place in the mornings and evenings. The dining room and living room fit our group well and we squeezed in the bedrooms (4 couples + 6 kids all 3 and under) but it was perfect since we spent most time outside anyways! Adam was super helpful and quick to respond when we needed a few items. Would definitely visit again!

Beautiful beach property, furnished in style, has all necessary things from kitchen appliances to kids entertainment. Felt right at home.

Our first visit to Cape Charles and we loved it. K’s house is in a lovely residential area, but very close to shops and restaurants and a 10 minute walk to a beautiful beach area. The house is simple but comfortable and has everything you need (no high chair or pack & play, but we brought our own). We loved sitting on the porch.
