We really enjoyed staying at the golden hour! The hosts were very responsive and helpful! They had sound machines in every bedroom which if you have kids is a big deal. The toys and kids activities there were a big hit! The pools are pristine and the whole outdoor area is very nice! Very short walk to beach which was also convenient! They literally thought of everything, if you forgot something chances are they had it! Definitely recommend staying here if you have children and want a nice low key place to stay!

Very convenient location for our trip, walking distance to entertainment and restaurants, will definitely stay there again in the future if the opportunity arises.

A spacious home by the water. We celebrated Thanksgiving at this location and it was very special. The views are beautiful, had a fire right by the water and relaxed by the beach. A perfect getaway with family and friends. It has everything you need, the living room is super comfortable and great to relax with the family. The kitchen was spacious making it easy to cook and entertain the family. We loved the hot tub, playing pool and having family dinner. Overall a fabulous experience!! Great host- great communication. Highly recommend

Blousier Point was magnificent! We thoroughly enjoyed our stay. Grocery store was close by and the home was convenient to Williamsburg and Busch Gardens. The home was beautiful and so cozy. Plenty of room to relax and play games , nice outdoor area and so peaceful. We will plan a return trip.

What a beautiful and serene space for a women’s retreat! It is very obvious that the home is very well loved as well as very special. We all discussed coming back again because we enjoyed the space, the comfort and the scenery very much. We thoroughly enjoyed the great blue heron right outside the window each day as well as breathtaking sunsets. It was hard to get back to the grind after such a beautiful sanctuary weekend away.

We find this gem of a place for Thanksgiving with just my family of 5. The home was absolutely warm and welcoming. We all had plenty of room to spread out, relax and unwind and gather together for our meals. The home was cozy, had all the amenities you needed without clutter. The home had beautiful light all throughout and every light switch was labeled ( that is a big deal for host to do). Our host very thoughtful, responsive in her communication with us. We even had chance to utilize the hot tub n the evening and you looked to a beautiful sky. The property was very private and the neighborhood was very serene which backed to the creek.

This place was perfect and I would definitely recommend. I was surprised at the space - they are much bigger than they look with the 2 bedrooms in the basement. It was obvious to me that the owner takes pride in being a good host - great attention to detail with the linens, toiletries and quality of appliances (mochamaster coffee maker!!!). Highly recommend!

We stayed at Xiaoming's Airbnb in Norfolk, Virginia, for 30 days while our home in Virginia Beach was under repair, and it was truly a fantastic experience. From the moment we walked in, the house was immaculate, with a fresh, clean smell. Xiaoming went above and beyond to accommodate our pets, making it an ideal space for our German Shepherd to run and play in the backyard. Our two young children had plenty of room to play as well, which made our stay stress-free. The downstairs master bedroom was perfect for getting our day started easily, and the location couldn't be better—just a short drive to amazing restaurants and beach access. The outdoor grilling area and porch became our favorite lunch spot, giving that summer vibe, even on chilly days. Having access to the garage was a huge bonus, keeping our vehicle clean and giving our dog a comfortable spot to sleep and eat without any worry about dirt inside the house. All in all, it was a wonderful stay. Highly Recommend!

Honestly, this is the most perfect place to stay whether or not you’re a homebody or someone who likes to go out. You are so close to so many things, and if you needed it like I did, Fort Eustis is in perfect distance! The place was spotless and had a beautiful kitchen (my favorite part). You won’t regret choosing this home for your stay!

This was the perfect house and location for a weekend exploring Jamestown and Colonial Williamsburg. We had 3 moms and three boys and the basement space was a perfect sleepover environment for the boys. And was soooo much more peaceful than staying at Great Wolf which was just around the corner so we were able to take the boys there for a day in the water park.

This was the perfect spot for a weekend trip to the beach! The amenities were fantastic and the beach access was unbeatable. John was an incredible host which made the experience even better. He was so kind, flexible for our needs, and very communicative. We would definitely recommend and hope to visit again!

This is the second time my family has stayed at one of Bonnie’s places and it was fantastic. The house was spacious and the yard was enjoyed by all. The shared pier was a great spot for our teens to take pictures and the shared beach was perfect for the littles to swim and play in the sand. We love the house 🏠 clean decoration beach team. We loved the fire pits for roasting s’mores the kids love the corn hold game. Lots of trees private. The views from the deck on the lake was calming. Definitely would stay again. Host was very good responsive and friendly.

This home is absolutely beautiful. I loved being able to wake up early and watch the sun rise over the Chesapeake bay. Even though it was cold the kids enjoyed splashing in the water with their rain boots. We spent the Wednesday before Thanksgiving at colonial Williamsburg. Afterwards we ate at Captain George’s, a place Tas recommended. It was absolutely worth it. I was also pleased with being able to make a good Thanksgiving meal. The stay was relaxing and peaceful. We would love to come back in the near future.

Exactly as described in the listing. Three families stayed here comfortably, and Xiang was an excellent host! The kids (14, 14, 11, 7, & 5) had plenty of space to play, and the grow ups had plenty of space to relax. A great place to come back to after a day of sightseeing!

Our family loved staying at this charming cottage on the river. The views are beautiful and very peaceful. Inside the cottage is everything you need for comfortable stay, the decor is tastefully and artfully done. Outside is equally enjoyable with fun and relaxation all around! Our family enjoyed the sunsets and the hammock. You truly feel on vacation here! So peacefuI, would recommend this location above staying in Norfolk or VA Beach to get the best of all worlds. Its an easy quick drive to Downtown Portsmouth and Norfolk. Virginia Beach was only 25-35 min using Midtown tunnel! We loved walking around the neighborhood everyone was so friendly. Portsmouth City park was easy for us to walk to and only a few minute drive by car. Truly one of our best airbnb experiences in the Hampton roads. We felt like we were able to take in not only the Elizabeth River views and tranquility, but also got to experience surrounding tidewater cities. Janine's cottage just shines!

We keep coming back to The Oyster House, as it meets all of our needs. It's great to have a reliably clean and well-appointed home away from home! Beds are very comfortable, and the kitchen is stocked with everything necessary to prepare meals. Very close to convenience stores and grocery market. Or several good restaurants in the immediate vicinity as well.

I stayed at Meg's beautiful home with my bridesmaids for my wedding weekend in Deltaville, and it was absolutely perfect! The house is spacious, clean, and well-organized, which made it a comfortable and relaxing place to stay during such a special time. Meg was so kind and responsive, providing helpful local recommendations and detailed instructions for the house. She truly went above and beyond to make our stay enjoyable, and her hospitality made my wedding weekend even better. I couldn’t have asked for a better experience—thank you, Meg!

The house was very nice, it was cleaned very well when we got there and there were plenty of amenities for everyone. The beach is accessible with maybe a two minute walk. The area is pretty, we saw horseshoe crabs and jellyfish at the beach, and the neighbors are friendly. The jellies can sting, but the kind of jellyfish here are painless enough that I initially thought I got bumped into by a floating stick, and the locals at the beach completely ignored the one in the water. The nearby restaurant/bar stays pretty busy, but it’s really nice as well.
