とても素晴らしい3泊4日の旅でした。 離島というロケーションは初めてでしたが、とてもアクセスがよく、過ごしやすい気候で、静かで、穏やかで、とても気に入りました。 家族3人でお邪魔しましたが、3人には広すぎるスペースを贅沢に使って、海の音を聞いて、癒されながらのんびり過ごしました。 基本はBBQをしたり、キッチンで簡単なランチを作ったりしました。 外食も予定していましたが、臨時休業だったり、予約で満席だったりで、事前問い合わせは必須です。 島唯一のJAの商店でカップ麺を買ったりハーゲンダッツを買ったりしてワイワイ楽しんだ日もあります。 島の方々もとても親切でアットホームでした！ リカさん、本当にありがとうございました。 また女木島に遊びに行きますね！

大変心の広い、優しいホストの方で大変お世話になりました。 お部屋は複数の部屋に分かれており、7名での宿泊もとても心地が良かったです。また、朝食を用意していただけたのもとてもありがたかったです。 宿の近くに仏生山温泉があり、徒歩でそちらを利用できたのもとてもよかったです。 また是非宿泊させていただきたいです。 その際は何卒よろしくお願いします。

We greatly enjoyed our stay at this stylish little home. Mitsi and Tomo are very friendly hosts and the breakfast restaurant they run is next door, so that is very convenient and delicious! We especially liked that the home is right next to the water, the JR station, and the pedestrian mall. The nautical history of the place (it used to be a sail-right-up waterfront property with a mooring ring) was also cool. There are two-and-a-half bedrooms; three beds in three rooms, but two of the rooms are semi-connected, and you could count them as one private room or two partly-private rooms. This was not a problem for us but others might want to know.

To start off, come in with the expectations that you're staying at a Japanese grandparent's home where it feels like they could be my own even. Yasuto is a kind and caring grandpa who helped me in so many ways like picking me up from the station, driving me to the nearest supermarket to make sure I had food for the first night, and overall making feel relaxed as I could be in their home. His wife is also as kind as to help me out with laundry and cooking up a nice Western style breakfast if you want. The actual room was very furnished with tatami mats, futon, and even a kotatsu. It was a nice traditional Japanese room for sure. You have access to big shower room, washer, and kitchen. It's really close to the beach, so I'd imagine its very popular during summertime, but even then Kada is a charming town itself. If you're lucky, you could even visit Tomogashima for the day if the ferry is running too. Overall, I would definitely come back if I had the chance!

Yota was an amazing host! He cooked us both breakfast and dinner, showed us around the island, and gave us countless recommendations for local food, music, and art. The food was all homemade using locally sourced produce, and was easily the best meal we had in Japan. This was a wonderful experience!

Der Bauernhof mit Tieren und einem Baumhaus ist perfekt für Familien. Unsere Kinder waren begeistert! Wir durften beim Füttern der Tiere helfen und wurden dabei herzlich begleitet. Die Gastgeber haben sich Zeit für uns genommen, uns alles gezeigt und waren unglaublich gastfreundlich. Morgens und abends wurden wir mit köstlicher, authentischer japanischer Küche verwöhnt, die der ganzen Familie geschmeckt hat. Man wohnt gemeinsam mit dem Ehepaar im Haus und bewohnt dort ein eigenes Zimmer. Wir wären gerne länger geblieben.

Atsuko was an exceptional host. She went out of her way to make our stay memorable. She made a reservation for us at a restaurant and recommended a nearby onsen that was perfect after a day of biking on the Shimanami Kaido. The accommodation was comfortable, ideally located, and made for the perfect overnight stop. Breakfast was delicious and thoughtfully prepared. Thank you for everything, Atsuko!

We had a lovely stay at Yumi and Tadao. They are great hosts, their house is beautiful and welcoming. They helped us with information regarding traveling to Naoshima and restaurant recommendations and reservations. Thank you

Ouchi's place is full to the brim with charm and is delightfully located. The view of Onomichi is fantastic, and a lasting memory for us will be waking up each morning to birds dancing and singing in the sakura tree by our window. On top of all that, Ouchi is a lovely host who made us feel more than welcome. Highly recommended to anyone visiting Onomichi :)

Outstandingly the best place we have ever stayed. The location and setting are out of this world and the property is immaculate, but more than that, the hosts are the best. Mio & Sho are welcoming and top level hosts, who allowed us to share this beautiful home with them as well as their stories. Great people.

Sandra and Ouchi have created an extraordinary place in Onomichi! My wife and me stayed one night in the fairytale room and had a delicious breakfast in the pavilion surrounded by flushing cherry trees! It was so nice to talk to Sandra! We will certainly come back one day. 6 Stars location!

Megino is a very nice option if you prefer staying overnight in Megijima. Location is right in front of the sea where you can totally enjoy the view. It takes about 5mins walk from the pier which is acceptable. Communications with the host was smooth which made the check-in process easy. The host was also friendly and helpful to share different spots in Kanagawa. We also like the home vibe here so we feel comfortable staying in. Definitely recommend here for a stay in Megijima. :)

It’s the perfect place to enjoy breakfast overlooking a picturesque seaside sunrise. Satomi is so kind and a great host. The most difficult part of staying here is leaving in the morning!
