We had an amazing stay. Beautiful property with trails and great morning jogs… and bark house river access within 10 min max, walk each way (note return is a bit of a trek with the hill but our 4 year old made it so should be reasonable for most people). Our car had a little trouble in some steep spots coming back from the bark house but managed in the end (not 4 wheel drive), so may want to be careful and keep in mind, but I think our tires are due for a change, maybe that had an impact. Ultimately Walking there was a better option for us, and there’s a trail option as well which is easier but a little longer. Alicia let us use their private beach as well which was magical (usage based on their schedule and availability) (also keep in mind some steepish terrain and a walk down). Our house was perfect for our family of 3. Very spacious and comfortable beds. Farm provided seasonal fruit and veggies every day which was amazing. We def plan to come back next year!!

We had a late arrival due to flight plans and Merry was there to greet, welcome and show us around the suite. She left no detail undone, anticipating what would make us feel welcome and comfortable, just like home. We woke up to beautiful views of fog and misty capped treetops. Very comfortable and quiet. Great location near to both town shops and restaurants, or off in another direction for a hike. We would not hesitate to stay at Merry’s Garden Suite again!

Nice quiet place, they do have downstairs tenants so you have to be mindful of noice after 10pm. Lots of places to sleep and host was very friendly and easy to communicate with! Cute, homey touches throughout the house!

We were looking for a peaceful, private and cozy little cabin to relax in. Between the green hills, budding oak trees, large pond habitated by various types of birds, frogs and fish; we instantly knew we found what we were looking for. As for the cabin itself, it’s beautifully appointed. The fireplace made for very cozy evenings, and the bed we wanted to take home with us. (Seriously what kind of mattress is it?). We had everything we needed for the kitchen, bathroom and otherwise. My kiddos were a bit upset with me for not bringing them along so I will be back with them. Thank you so much for a great mini-vacay!

Am grateful to the hosts - David and Terri for facilitating an opportunity to explore the beautiful Lake Combie. I love the fact that they share their kayaks and a map to the lake. The space is neat with a peaceful patio for bbq, camp fire, and stars. The suite is spotless - packed with amenities necessary for a fun and relaxing stay.

The guest house was comfortable and perfect for our family. The kids enjoyed the basketball court with all of the balls and scooters provided to play. The pond was fun to explore on the boat, and we caught bass both days we were there. Great spring break trip for the family!

Very lovely stay, my whole family (husband, brother, baby, and dog) all felt right at home and had a very fun and relaxing time. I think my dog would move there if she could - she loved the dog bed, I've hardly ever seen her so relaxed! There was also a big round chair that had a similar effect for us humans. We were able to make a very nice evening meal in the kitchenette as well as breakfasts - the one thing I would say is that if I went back, I would bring my own knives as the cooking knives were quite dull. Thank you so much for sharing your home and property with us!

Large, comfortable, private space. Very peaceful location. Very accommodating and friendly. Would recommend to anyone staying in the area!
