Our stay with Helen was most enjoyable! I especially enjoyed the outdoor patio with two different areas for seating and the lovely garden and trees. Bedrooms had ample space and were beautifully decorated with antiques. We especially loved the tiny kitchen with all it's amenities and the nice bottle of wine all set out for us when we came in late the evening I flew into Sacramento. Thank you Helen! We will be back!

Mary is easily the best. She made my AirBnB stay a wonderful experience. As a pet owner, I was also extremely pleased that Mary’s place has a big enough space outside for my cat to enjoy and the road is relatively quiet. I loved my stay. 👍🏼👍🏼

Cozy little spot with everything you need for a weekend getaway. Plenty of extra blankets and creature comforts to allow for an enjoyable stay. The kitchen was well stocked with what we needed to cook. Though we didn't use them, we noticed a washer and dryer as well as some fun games.

That was my 4th time staying there and every single time it is like being in paradise to me. I absolutely love the property and how they have set it up. Very welcoming and friendly. Would highly recommend it! Great place to go to relax and do some self care!

This was one of the most coziest of places we’ve ever stayed at. Felt right at home and it included everything we needed. Our dog was also very happy here. I felt like the host, Helen, made small touches to it that made us feel so welcomed such as a welcome note on the door and provided water. Great location for visiting the river too.

Great location to a great little town! WE loved everything about it! Fabulous porch overlooking open space with trees - great for morning coffee or evening cocktails. I slept in the bed which was great and my husband slept on fold out couch he said was also comfy. Fully equipped kitchen, nice bathroom. All was wonderful and we hope to stay again!

The host was super friendly, responsive and helpful. Even though we only rented the top floor of the place, it still felt very private. Everything was clean and easy to find. The place was walking distance to my relative’s house so it was extremely convenient. Will be renting there in the future if they allow me to.

What a lovely space! Right in between Grass Valley and Nevada City. Quiet, peaceful neighborhood that is an easy drive to both towns. Beds were so comfortable and all the amenities were fabulous! Warm and cozy! Daniela was so sweet and responsive. And extra accommodating to our needs for our NYE celebrations. I will certainly book with her again in the future.

Had a wonderful stay here during Wild and Scenic. Perfect for one person, extremely clean, and felt both chic and homey. The lower parking lot was easy to miss, as I arrived in the dark and it wasn't well-lit, but once I arrived it was lovely.

Large, comfortable, private space. Very peaceful location. Very accommodating and friendly. Would recommend to anyone staying in the area!

The listing is a lovely place with a lovely host! The only comment I would make is that there is no dedicated kitchen and that was a bit of a challenge. After arriving and seeing the unit, I went back to look at the photos and description on the Air BnB listing. The photos looked as if there was a small kitchen but the description listed no "formal kitchen" so that part was a little confusing. Instead of a kitchen sink there was a laundry wash basin installed which was great to have but not useful for any kind of food prep in the sense that you have to be careful not to put anything but water down the drain since there is no garbage disposal. We made it work though and would definitely stay there again. Perhaps some further clarity in the description of what is meant by "no formal kitchen" would be helpful.

A beautiful home in a great location. Good coffee to start my day. Drue and Renee were delightful and very accommodating. I hope it will be available the next time I visit Nevada City.

This was my 2nd staying at The Love Shack (my husband was with me the first time and he wants to move in!) We love how close to main street it is and are always super impressed with the newly remodeled bathroom and kitchen! The kitchen has everything you need to cook all meals (no oven, but that wasn't an issue). We love that it is like a fabulous hotel room with a full kitchen and lovely little dining room, but completely private and a wonderful back yard to relax in. And did I mention full kitchen for all your meals?! Thank you Trish! It was lovely meeting you on my way out and thank you again for the use of your ladder at my friend's house down the street.

We were in town for an important family function and it was perfect for what we needed. Basically a clean safe place to shower, change clothes and sleep. We weren't there much but it fit what we needed.
