Our stay at Quentin’s place was fabulous! We made memories for a lifetime. It was different from typical touristy places, which was nice for a change of pace. The write-up gave us a great idea of what to except. And we appreciated that Quentin advised us to have a rental car, as the road getting in and out, is a bit far from the main road and is quite bumpy. The palapa in which we stayed was roomy and creatively designed in harmony with the surroundings. My daughters loved the hammocks that were inside our space. The shared kitchen was clean and organized. We did not encounter many bugs but there was small spray provided if needed. Quentin was very welcoming and helpful, providing recommendations for us on our trip. His responses to any questions were immediate and thoughtful. The whole space was beautiful, great for relaxation and a break from city life. We would highly recommend this lodging for anyone who loves to try new things. We really loved having the opportunity to stay here!

Dena’s place was off the beaten path (literally) and we loved it! We enjoyed being a little far away from the city centre and getting to explore the island in a different way. Dena provided bikes and that made it a breeze to get around to see and do everything we wanted on the island.

Muy linda casita y muy acogedora , solo fueron dos noches pero estuvo genial las camas muy bien y el patio de atrás súper relax para pasar la tarde, y el tío Charlie siempre pendiente, nos prestó una hielera, nos dio recomendaciones de restaurantes playas y cenotes, sin duda volveríamos!!!

We had a fantastic stay! We were the only ones renting at the time, making it quite lovely to have the place ourselves. Emily is a fantastic cook, so I recommend planning at least a few meals through the host. If you do your own food, plan your meals (the host can take you shopping before leaving) because it costs for the boat ride to get more supplies. Belle and Bruno were the best four-legged hosts, so if you love large dogs, you will enjoy them as we did. They swim out to play with the dolphins pretty much daily! Eugene has a wealth of knowledge about what to do and see; he is your best resource. The young lad Omar helped with everything, including showing me how to fish.

Really great hosts and amazing property. Bart has a green thumb and I got to enjoy many of his delicous organic avocados and fruits. Barbara is very active in the community and has a lot of insider tips. Highly recommend

The one bedroom cabana was well equipped for a longer stay. It was comfortable and had easy access to the pool and deck, which are shred with 3 other cabanas. Our host, property manager and cleaner were all responsive and quick to fix any problems. A new bbq was added while we were there giving us a great way to prepare the fresh seafood found locally. The location is a short walk from the centre of the village, close enough for easy access to the many great restaurants and bars, but far enough out to avoid the bustle of the tourist area. Caye Caulker is a laid back community with a mix of locals, snowbirds and short term visitors. Beaches are a bit limited, but one soon finds a swimming hole that suits them. We would recommend Tropical Dreams to anyone looking for a good base from which to explore the island.

Great location and wonderful place

Julies Beach Bungalow was fantastic! I have stayed in Belize in a number of different spots previously and this was by far the best. It is like having your own personal house on the beach. Adorable bungalow with beautiful views. (Particularly at sunrise) Julie is extremely good at communicating and makes the check-in process very easy with helpful people on the ground to cater your experience. I would love to gatekeep this place, but she deserves to get all the occupancy she wants.

Nous avons passé un séjour tout simplement inoubliable! Nous nous sommes sentis comme à la maison, tout en étant au milieu de la jungle! Si vous cherchez un endroit pour déconnecter complètement au milieu de la nature, nous ne saurions que recommander cet endroit magique! Marivi Y Roberto ont été extrêmement réactifs.

We stayed at SOTA Space for just one night, but it left a lasting impression. Our bungalow was nested in the surrounding jungle; a beautifully designed sanctuary, blending seamlessly with nature. Sleeping with the floor-to-ceiling bay doors open, protected by the built-in screens, allowed us to fully immerse in the sounds of the forest. It was an unforgettable and magical experience. While we initially booked it as a remote jungle bungalow, we quickly realized it offers so much more. The cenote and picturesque lounging areas; the tasteful decor, fascinating architecture, and attentively curated forest pathways allow you to wander the serene setting. They offer a selection of holistic wellness and self-care opportunities. My wife enjoyed a deep tissue massage claiming to me it was one of the best she has ever had - she came back glowing from it. This is a place to disconnect from the noise and reconnect with yourself. Even in our brief stay, it was a powerful and restorative escape.

La verdad que pasamos unos días maravillosos en Tulum y en el alojamiento que Rita nos brindó, nos pareció un lugar increíble tanto el hospedaje como en el barrio, súper tranquilo, linda zona para rentar bicis, motos, autos. La verdad que terminamos fascinados con el lugar y esperamos volver pronto. Le pondría un 10/10 a este alojamiento superó mis expectativas.

El lugar es hermosoooo. El movimiento de la casa flotante fue muy leve, casi ni lo sentí. La ubicación es la mejor, tiene playas cerca, restautantes y supermercado. La locomoción está a la salida. A principio tenía resistencia por el cocodrilo, pero fue lo mejor verlo nadando cerca. Volvería sin duda. Recomendadísimo😊

Great little place which felt very private, although it is situated on a busy road. We had no issues with getting to sleep, though. Host was amazing, picked us up from the ferry port and organized golf cart rental, plus gave great recommendations for places to eat. The outdoor plunge pool was divine, and spotlessly clean. Had lots of visits from geckos and even an iguana! Unfortunately no corkscrew (we purchased and left one for the next renters!) but otherwise everything was completely as described and very well appointed. Very handy to have a washer-dryer, too. All in all, a lovely stay! Thank you to our wonderful hosts!

We really enjoyed our stay — the place is beautiful, peaceful, and perfect for disconnecting. It’s surrounded by nature, which makes it ideal if you’re looking for a quiet and relaxing escape. A couple of things to keep in mind: having a car is definitely recommended, as the property is about 30 minutes from downtown Bacalar. Getting around without transportation could be a bit difficult. Also, the house has an open-space design — there are no doors or fully enclosed rooms — so sound travels easily, and you’ll likely hear everything going on in other areas. Just something to consider if you’re sensitive to noise or traveling with a group. That said, the service was excellent. The hosts were extremely kind and responsive. They allowed us to leave our luggage well before check-in and even gave us wristbands to access a nearby balneario, which was a lovely surprise. Overall, it’s a wonderful place with a calm and relaxing atmosphere. We’d definitely stay again!

Cristobal’s Tiny House was simply perfect! From the moment we arrived, we felt completely at home. Everything is smartly designed – especially the clever use of storage space – so we had everything we needed for daily life. The location is peaceful, nestled in a local neighborhood, far from the touristy hustle, just the way we like it. We truly felt like home during our stay – comfortable, relaxed, and totally at ease. The garden is beautiful, and every evening a little opossum came by for a visit – such a sweet touch! There are plenty of great food stands nearby offering delicious Mexican food, and several beaches are just a short walk away. Cristobal was super friendly, greeted us personally, and showed us around. Communication was easy, and he was always available and helpful. We can absolutely recommend the Tiny House – a real hidden gem for anyone looking for a relaxed and authentic stay!

I had an absolutely wonderful stay at Zen Canto. The place is simply magical — a true haven of peace in the heart of nature, perfectly located to enjoy both the tranquility of the jungle look alike and the proximity to Tulum and its beautiful beaches. The room is spacious, beautifully designed, and offers stunning views of the lush greenery, creating a serene and unique atmosphere. The shared spaces are also very well maintained, and the cenote-style pool is perfect for cooling off after a day of exploring. It is located in the village of Macario Gomez, which is home to several fantastic restaurants — some of which are even better than those in central Tulum! A special thank you to Martina, who is an amazing host. Always available, she was incredibly helpful and caring throughout my stay, offering great recommendations and making me feel truly welcome. If you’re looking for an authentic, comfortable retreat surrounded by nature, this is the spot!

This is a nice building with three studio apartments; I stayed there in the past and liked it enough to return! It's not in the main center of Merida, but personally, I've stayed in Centro many times and prefer the quieter outskirts these days, like Colonia Mexico which is where this building is located. The host's instructions for entry are super clear, and they send helpful reminders about check-in and checkout. There were no issues with anything whatsoever. The neighborhood is peaceful, and it's a 10-minute walk from the Super Aki grocery store with convenience stores like Oxxo even closer if you need something quick. There are a lot of restaurants and other things to do nearby (I recommend Campay Sushi which is just down the street). Enjoy your stay in Merida!

mi familia la paso muy bien, es un lugar tranquilo para descansar, el sr Joaquin siempre estuvo al pendiente, solo hay unas cosas que dice tener la casa pero no las tiene, pero de ahí en fuera todo muy bien!!!
