After 2 weeks of volunteering, this accommodation was great to come down and relax. The location was really great and Barbara was always on hand to help with recommendations, a bajaji etc. needed. It was a great end to our time in Zanzibar. Highly recommended!

My friend and I celebrated a birthday here and stayed for five nights. It took us a little time to adjust, but once we did, we had an amazing and high-quality stay. The Popo house was perfect spacious, well-equipped, and featuring a big pool and a fully functional kitchen that we made great use of. Popo House is located on the sunrise side, allowing us to wake up early and enjoy breathtaking sunrises. Every morning, we could walk down and watch the local people working on their seaweed plantations, which was a unique and fascinating experience. One of the highlights of our stay was the two incredible dogs, Millie and Poppy. They took care of us throughout our visit, providing both companionship and security. At night, they would bark if they sensed unfamiliar people, yet they were so well-trained never entering the house uninvited or stealing food. They were truly polite and loving, and saying goodbye to them was the hardest part. Overall, we absolutely loved this place. It’s perfect!

I would definitely stay here again. The space is beautiful and kept nicely. Abdul was very responsive and helpful. I appreciated his flexibility with me needing to extend my stay. My husband and I really love Fumba town , and this was a perfect introduction. Thank you so much for your kindness Abdul! You’ll see us again soon!

Sehr schöne Unterkunft in bester Lage direkt am Strand. Ausstattung und Sauberkeit sind sehr gut. Die Terrasse, die bei Flut nur einen Sprung vom Indischen Ozean entfernt ist, ist einzigartig. Wir haben in Jambiani keine andere Unterkunft gesehen, die solch einen privaten Zugang zum Meer bietet. Bei Ebbe kann man sich immer noch in den vorhandenen Whirlpool legen😎 Es gab in den zehn Tagen, die wir vor Ort waren zweimal Stromausfall, dies wurde aber umgehend durch ein Stromaggregat aufgefangen. Hakuna matata! Was unseren Aufenthalt zu etwas Besonderem gemacht hat war Barau, der Manager vor Ort. Er wohnt in der Nachbarschaft, ist immer erreichbar und ein sehr hilfsbereiter, freundlicher und zuvorkommender Mensch. Er kümmert sich sehr gut um seine Gäste und hilft zuverlässig dabei alle Arten von Touren, ob zu Land oder zu Wasser zu organisieren. Außerdem bieten Barau und seine Frau Zuhura sehr gutes authentisches Essen zu absolut erschwinglichen Preisen an. Also unbedingt ausprobieren!

Liza and Raphael are great hosts. The house is simply fantastic and you immediately feel at home. The location was perfect for us. It's not so touristy and crowded there. Really pleasant to enjoy the island. Hatibu and his team take great care of you and you feel very well looked after. The food was fresh and delicious every day. The manager Hatibu is always available and fulfills your every wish. For me there is really nothing to complain about. We stayed here for a week with the whole family (6 people) and at the end we really didn't want to leave at all. It is one of those places that you would prefer to keep to yourself. An insider tip. If you’re looking for a private beach with white sand and security, this villa is ideal for you. I travel frequently and often book Airbnbs, but this villa truly stands out as the best. It’s incredibly beautiful. The guards, the host, and the staff have all been exceptional. It has exceeded my initial expectations. Calister and her team have been incredibly helpful with everything. The attention to detail and the level of service here make it a remarkable experience. I would highly recommend it to anyone seeking a luxurious getaway. I’m definitely re booking once I visit Zanzibar again.

This was by far the best place we stayed at, which was agreed upon by a group of 6 guests. Check-in was very flexible and the place looked even better than described on the site. The place was cleaned daily and Co host Bakari was very attentive by coming daily to check on us. The surrounding areas were amazing and great food was all around the place. There was nothing that fell short. Overlooking the beach with bbq amenities on the roof top that offered great views all around. This place was phenomenal. Five stars in our view.

Fantastic location on the ocean, with fabulous views from all terraces and especially from the upper outside deck. Great open plan living space with views and spacious bedrooms with en suite bathrooms . The staff were incredibly welcoming, kind and discreet, always there to greet and assist. The property and gardens are really well designed and have a great flow. Superb walks to the reefs at low tide. The remote location provides great privacy and relaxation, highly recommended. We will be back!

Super Fantastic Host Extraordinary. I am yet to meet any host of Carol’s capacity. Over and beyond that call of duty. I love to cook on holidays, Carol was my guide that took me to the local market, made sure I wasn’t reaped off by the locals. Went to two different markets. Helped to change currency at the local bureau de change. All around astonishing and outstanding ! Highly recommended and appreciated.

WOW what a place. It gives you an authentic Zanzibar experience. From the moment I booked the process with Stephania was flawless. She is warm helpful and responsive. We met her upon check in and she makes you very welcome. The Villa is beautiful private and spacious. It has everything you need and a little grocery pack is waiting for you. It is decorated in a true Swahili style....very tasteful. Being right on the beach you always have a nice breeze. It was very hot when we went but the villa, pool and its grounds provided some much needed respite and shade. Its position is perfect...a lot of people that walked by admired it! Stephania and Rama have a great team. Pilee tends the villa garden daily and keeps the beach in front clean and tidy and Gucci tends to the pool. He will also take you to the village to shop or buy fish ..very helpful and kind. We used Rama for our taxi needs to and from the villa and a very early airport drop. He also does some fantastic trips. A superb place.

Sacha’s place is very modern and spacious. It’s located very close to the beach, perfect location for a peaceful stay and sunrise watching. Sacha is very responsive and helpful in giving directions and recommendations in the area. Overall, it was a nice stay!

Fantastic villa. It’s not often you get to stay in en enormous house that used to be part of a Sultan’s place. Even after reading all the positive reviews it exceeded expectations. The house is an experience itself and Rafael as a host is very easy to communicate with, always responsive and gave us great tips. If you want to treat yourself to exceptional experience while in Stone Town. Highly recommend!

I can’t even describe how happy am I that stayed at Jos’s place! I definitely would like to come back! The villa is stunning, and beautiful! Every detail, every single book! The host ia amazing! The team is great, we had an amazing breakfast every day and felt very comfortable and safe! The location is perfect, just 1 min from the beach and close to the nice places, restraints, beach clubs. Jos gave us perfect suggestions, booked a car for us, ordered taxi. I've never met someone so open, kind, light! Thank you, Jos, and all team!

Das Haus war super. Wir hatten alles was wir brauchten und konnten zu Fuß am Strand entlang Restaurants besuchen. Die Leute sind unglaublich herzlich. Die Haushälter/innen Majuma, Aysa und Ben waren die aller besten und liebsten. Sie waren unglaublich lieb und hilfsbereit. haben uns täglich ein super leckeres Frühstück und Abendessen zubereitet. Die beiden Tourguides Solomon und Rahmadan haben uns unvergessliche Trips gebucht, alles was wir uns vorgestellt haben wurde ohne Probleme möglich gemacht. Sie standen uns immer zur Seite und haben uns auch einen Fahrservice anbieten. Wir haben alle richtig doll ins Herz geschlossen. Alles in allem lief alles perfekt und reibungslos. Die Villa können wir zu 100% weiterempfehlen.

Ernst ist ein sehr guter Gatsgeber . Er reagiert sofort und Hilft immer .Alles ist sehr gut Organisiert.Die Hilfe vor Ort hat er sehr gut geregelt. Es ist immer ein Ansprechpartner da.Vielleicht mal über ein Notstromaggregat nachdenken......Das Haus liegt direkt am Strand , nur wenige Schritte zum Meer.Absolut Ruhige Lage.Herzlichen Dank für die schöne Zeit dort.

A little slice of heaven! We had an amazing stay at Elisabetta’s house in early January. The house is right on the gorgeous beach and it looks even better in real life than the pictures. It is very tastefully decorated and has everything you may need during your stay. The bedrooms are large and the covered patio overlooking the beach is absolutely gorgeous. It was great having Abdul to ask for recommendations and Teresa was just the best with cleaning and making us feel right at home. The town of Kiwengwa is small so we booked a few day trips from here and explored the rest of the island. Elisabetta is a wonderful host, extremely friendly and always responsive. She helped make our holiday very comfortable. We will cherish the memories that we made at Casa Di Lilli and would absolutely recommend booking this beautiful house.

Had a lovely stay. Everyone including staff and front desk were very friendly and always checking up on me to make sure I was okay. Food was very tasty, and drinks were delicious. Lots to do in the area about 30 - hour drive , if you request a driver or tour guide.. excluding safaris and going into different towns. Can’t wait to visit again !

This place is a true gem. Hidden away, it's not the typical Zanzibar tourist spot. In fact, we were the only non-local people in the whole neighbourhood. It felt amazing to shop in the local village micro-shop, get fresh fish and calamari straight from the fish market, enjoy the private beach. If you feel like disconnecting, winding down and relaxing to the fullest - this is your place. And then, when you feel like exploring anything Zanzibar has to offer - you have all the options. Ali, the manager, is gonna be your guide, driver, and will arrange anything you please. We went to Stone Town, to Paje, to one of the spice farms, to the Jozani Forrest, to see the turtles, to go kayaking, spent a day on a boat trip (saw dolphins, went snorkelling, visited the famous sand bank, had lobster and fish on a private island). Ali even arrange for Omar, a private chef, to cook for us one evening. We hope to visit again one day. I highly recommend Nick's place! You will not be disappointed!

We just had an incredible stay at this beachfront villa in Zanzibar. It an incredibly beautiful location, and the house is spacious and clean. The real star of the property, beside the gorgeous beach is the staff. From the management agency, to the house manager Sule, to Tatu our housekeeper and Fabio the most friendly and warm Maasai guard- everyone made my daughter and I feel right at home. We hired a fantastic chef, Robinson through the agency and he made the best food at our request every day and the cost was reasonable. This is a must book for a peaceful vacation in Zanzibar away from the commercial hotel scene. Thank you Paolo for hosting us!

Where to begin Where to begin? From the very first contact Moudi was responsive, helpful, respectful and precise with all of his communications, whether they were responses to our endless questions about Zanzibar, (as we had never been out of Europe before this holiday) or questions about what turned out to be the most sumptuos villa, (and private beach spot with Mohammed to look after you), a couple could ask for, so yes, Villa Uzuri, and the Host, Moudi, are THE BEST CHOICE you could make for a holiday on an idyllic island in the Indian ocean. Saying all of this does fill us with some dread because we feel we don't want to share our happy place!! Thats how we feel about Villa Uzuri.

Me and 7 other friends stayed here for 1 week and had a great time. We were a bit skeptical about not having a swimming pool, but a 1 minute walk by the beach and you can find Bahari which is great for food and The Loop which is great for swimming in pool (its free). We made an agreement to when the maids were supposed to clean wich was also great for those who like to sleep long. We had some difficulty finding the villa since we used our own driver, so I would recommend using the villas driver or set your google maps to Bahari Pizza Resturant to get there safely with your own driver. Overall the stay was great with a 10 minute drive to Paje city center, and I would recommend this to anyone looking for a place to stay in Zanzibar:)
