Really a great stay in this family house, full of nice objects (even a piano), and the must is to spend some time on the outside beds, watching the stars ! Peaceful stay.

Perfect spot for our sleepover en route to Cape Town, cottage is well equipped and a marvelous step back into history when life was graciously slower and more civilised! Loved it! Merweville is a quaint little town with o gorgeous stone church!

Cindy's Place was excellent value for money and an authentic "Karoo experience", complete with veranda and divans outside for enjoying the quiet Karoo evenings. It's a complex of three cottages - mine was the smallest - all spotlessly clean inside and out, with a firm bed that had enough warm blankets and an electric blanket. Thanks to Samson the groundsman and good security I felt very safe. Barend, the gardener of many years, keeps his hand on the amazing rockeries, trees, paved areas and well-appointed braai areas -- a pleasure to watch. The popular Book Club coffee shop is a stone's throw across the road and "Merweville Mall" general dealer a trip down nostalgia lane for those who grew up in the country. Highly recommended.

Once in a life experience for those who never been in Karoo desert. Very quiet and private, amazing night sky full of stars. Breathtaking sunsets. We saw ships, deers and hares around the house. Berlinda was very helpful with check in.

Cosy stop over for the night - stunning view of the stars. The place was neat and tidy and just what we needed. Wish we could’ve stayed longer for a sunset braai.

We stayed at Vygiebos cottage for 3 nights and it was absolute bliss...The Karoo quiet cannot be described in words and a must on the bucket list for all... lovely hosts, beautiful basic cottage with everything you need for a no nonsense break... We will definitely be back, highly recommended!!!!

This is our second time at Mari's place. it was a lovely, peaceful holiday. Lots of privacy but very well-timed check-ins by the host, always with some delicious home grown produce. We love the braai facilities. Well stocked with wood, movable screen to protect against occasional strong winds, and grid, braai tongs, fire lighters and seasoning spice provided. Ideal for amateur star watchers and night sky photographers. Easy drive to Prince Albert or Beaufort West. Nice functional kitchen with induction cooker, microwave, electric wok, fridge and freezer, enough crockery, cutlery, glasses and mugs. Well stocked with coffee and delicious homemade rusks. Comfortable airconditioned bedroom plus a second bedroom with two beds. On warm Karoo days, the aircon is very welcome. 2 fans are available. Smart TV. Easy to cast your phone onto the TV and stream. Connectivity is always good. Thank you! You will be seeing us again.

JJ is a great friendly guy..a real cape boerseun😄👌. The room was newly renovated and very clean with a air conditioner. I definitely recommend it.
