Great Home! Excellent location

We stayed at the East Camptons for 6 days, would definitely come back! It was very clean and had all the amenities we could ask for. The location was perfect, in between NO and Slidell. My husband fished off the docks and used the crab traps. I had coffee on the dock or deck every morning to see the beautiful sunrise. The fish factory next door was somewhat noisy but from previous reviews we were prepared and it didn’t interfere with our time at all. It was interesting to watch the boats coming and going and the birds they attracted. The space under the house doesn’t have the “kitchen” in the pictures but it does have a grill. The king bed was super comfy. Patty and Janet were promptly responsive with a couple of questions I had. Be prepared if there is wind the house sways a bit (felt like when you’re sittingin your car on a bridge) apparently this is normal with a house on pillars. I highly recommend eating at The Palmettos on the Bayou in Slidell, close with a great atmosphere.

Nick was very responsive, friendly and accommodating. The home was cozy and clean. The property and bayou scenery was peaceful.

We absolutely loved the home and the view! We had so much fun fishing and checking the crab traps. We also had the joys of seeing an otter swimming around just off the dock. Very peaceful, we are so glad we got to stay here!

We had an amazing stay! The place was spotlessly clean and beautifully decorated, creating the perfect cozy retreat. All the amenities were top-notch, making our stay incredibly comfortable. The location was ideal — easy to get to and from the Superdome, yet far enough from the Super Bowl madness to offer a peaceful and relaxing environment. I highly recommend this place for anyone looking for a serene getaway with all the comforts you could ask for!

This house was absolutely beautiful and right in the lake which was amazing! Huge living space which and great fishing dock. The house is on stilts so it shakes a little which took a bit of getting use to but 10/10 would go again.

We loved our stay at Pelican Pier! Everything on the property was as beautiful as the pictures, all amenities were exactly as outlined, and there were many thoughtful touches offered by the host to encourage maximum enjoyment of the waterfront property. We have 4 boys (ages 8-14) and they loved the dock. We caught crabs, went fishing, and played on the small sand beach. It was too cold and windy to kayak but it was very tempting. The house has just enough common space and very nice bedroom arrangements for a family. Bringing an extra adult couple would have also worked. The house is not in a populated area - which we felt was part of the appeal! Slidell is close enough for quick trips. Downtown New Orleans is a 45 min drive but reasonable for day trips. We would definitely consider this property again if going to NOLA again.

Eugene was a great host, helped us with any questions we had quickly. Home was very clean. Location was close to all the local attractions which was prime for us. Would stay here again if we ever come back!

I was traveling alone with my dog and it was perfect for what we needed. No frills or thrills but a safe and quiet neighborhood. It’s an old house, which I love, but that comes with less amenities than some might expect. For me, it was just right. I appreciated the clear instructions and that I could come and go without disturbing anyone. The hosts were responsive and left me be. It looks like there are a few available bookings on the property, which I’d like to explore when traveling with muiltiple parties, such as my extended family. It would be nice to have us all there together but in separate spaces. I would definitely book again.

I am not sure how to turn 1,000 characters into an understanding of the perfection that is a stay with Maxie and Lydia. Also, I don't know how wise it is to say TOO much or the place may never be available to be booked! But in all seriousness.. the location is amazing full or freedom and serenity. Close enough to everything without being in any particular thoroughfare. Time seems to slow down around you just enough to enjoy your surroundings and take the time to look around you. Thoughtful touches are everywhere and the hosts!! You could not ask for kinder, more generous hosts. They offer their home, their spirit and their recommendations. This was our second trip to this spot and I am already planning the third and fourth!

Warm and Inviting, Fully functional home. Perfect for the weekend needed with friends. Wicked clean. Would 100% stay again next time visiting.

Nice and local place just in reach of several Mardi Gras parade routes. Hosts are friendly and responsive and their place was cute and cozy.
