We stayed at Shirley's place for a night for our little blue penguins trip at Timaru. The place is absolutely lovely, and our room is located on the ground floor where we have a living room and a large balcony of our own. We really appreciated Shirley's hospitality and her serving us a nice New Zealand breakfast in the dining room on the first floor (where the host stays). We couldn't feel more at home and peaceful at Shirley's place, 5 stars!

We had a wonderful stay at Shanti's place. The tent is super cozy and has everything you need to get a feeling of luxery while being outside in nature. The river that flows through her garden makes you calm down and the sun deck is perfect to just relax on. We slept like roses in the big comfortable bed and she even had bathrobes hanging which were nice and cozy after using the outdoor shower. Lots of things to do and see around the area to or to just have a coffee or drink. Definitely recommend this place! :)

Had a lovely stay with Carol and Geoff. They are very welcoming hosts and the bed is comfortable and the bedroom wonderfully quiet and dark. Such a treat to have fresh fruit from their garden too. Highly recommended!

A perfect place for the Marlborough District and close to the Sounds. The Barn Apartment is in a fabulous and quiet garden setting, located in the heart of the vineyards - Renwick a 5 minute drive away with the Village, wineries and restaurants even closer. Andrew is a great host and shared his local knowledge on wineries/restaurants/etc. The apartment is set in the loft of a barn (in name only), was modern, spotlessly clean and equipped with everything we needed including some food essentials in the fridge on arrival. Highly recommended, thank you Andrew and Wendy.

Very kind grandparents, smooth communication，beautiful house, clean and warm rooms, convenient shopping, about 10 minutes drive to Woolworths. There is a large playground behind the house, and there are also many children's books and toys at home, which are very suitable for living with children. It was a very happy living experience, and if there is a chance, I will come back and recommend it to others!

Helen’s home is truly a hidden gem. We needed somewhere to stay close to Arthur’s Pass, and we are so lucky to have found this place. Our bedroom (and basically any other living area in her home) had an absolutely gorgeous view of the valley and the mountains. While we were there, another couple also was staying at Helen’s home in another bedroom. We all had dinner together that night and shared lots of fun stories. Helen was a great cook! She also made us a delicious breakfast the following morning and was kind enough to work around our early-morning schedule. Helen was not only amazing host, but also a very kind and gracious person. We felt so welcomed into her home almost immediately. I really loved talking to her about her outdoor adventures. She was extremely helpful and gave us suggestions on things to check out at Arthur’s Pass. Thank you so much, Helen, for your amazing hospitality! I wholeheartedly recommend Helen’s place!

We were made to feel very welcome into Joanne's home. Joanne & Bryce were very friendly and easy to talk to. The breakfasts were great, and we could come and go at our leisure. Our bedroom, bathroom, and living room were clean and very spacious.

Karen and her husband were very welcoming hosts, and they helped make it a very enjoyable stay!

This was my second stay with Karen. I'm a solo, senior female and her space is ideal. Clean, cozy, perfectly situated and very reasonable. And Karen is a great host. Highly recommend it for a solo female traveller.

Beautiful room & bathroom that was tastefully decorated with access to a small kitchen & living room. Gary left muffins, fresh fruit, cereals, milk, wine, fresh juice and chocolates! Very impressed overall. The ferry for getting to Queenstown was a ten minute walk away at $14NZD each way, a quick and easy way to get around. Would definitely recommend as a stunning side of Queenstown to stay, albeit largely residential and no shops nearby.

Staying with Jackie and Michael was truly a home away from home. From the moment we arrived, they welcomed us with open arms, including us in their amazing lives and sharing wonderful stories. They are such genuinely kind and warm-hearted people, and this experience was incredibly special. Their home is everything you could wish for—spotlessly clean, cozy, and with the most breathtaking views imaginable. The spa pool was a dream, and after a long time traveling, sinking into the super comfy bed was a real treat. Sleeping in felt like a luxury, and waking up to their incredible, delicious breakfasts made it even better! I wouldn’t want to miss these two from my life, and I’m so grateful to have met them. I’ll definitely be staying in touch and hope to return one day. If you have the chance to stay with them, don’t hesitate—Jackie and Michael are absolute gems, and I couldn’t recommend them enough!

Bev and Andy’s apartment was fabulous, lived up to our expectations and the photographs. The bed was super comfy. The bathroom was fantastic with a great shower, we didn’t get around to trying the Jacuzzi bath, but it looked great! We walked to the restaurants in Kaikoura in less than 10 minutes. We loved Kaikoura, the coast is beautiful- just like the rest of New Zealand! Thank you Bev for a great stay .

Just when I thought our Airbnb experiences could not be beaten there was Colleen and Trevor. They made us feel like family whilst still retaining discreet sensitivity to our privacy. Nothing was too much effort. Home baked goodies too! Beautiful Lilly the dog has been well trained to offer you as much or as little attention as you would like. We could not rate this stay more highly and hope to meet up with Colleen and Trevor again one day.

A Truly Wonderful Stay – Highly Recommended! This is such a lovely and cozy cottage! The space is beautifully maintained, both inside and out, and the host is incredibly kind and thoughtful. Upon arrival, I was greeted with snacks, and the mornings were made even better with delicious, carefully prepared breakfasts. The attention to detail was outstanding—everything was perfect! Charmaine is a lovely host who went above and beyond to make my stay comfortable. She showed me around, pointing out where the ferry departs, where the stores are, and how to get to the pool, and she even waited for me to arrive. She provided all the essentials — coffee, tea, bread, jam, butter, milk, cereal, and some veggies — which was very thoughtful. The house itself is more than great! The decoration is beautiful, with cozy sofas and spacious rooms that look like they belong in a catalog. I had the option to choose which room I wanted, which was a nice touch. From the porch, living room, and my room, I had a stunning view of the ocean and the port. It was lovely sitting on the porch with a cup of coffee, just relaxing and enjoying the scenery. The location is perfect — only one block away from shops, restaurants, and an organic food store and very close to the walking path to the Gondola, which is just a 40-minute walk from the house. I highly recommend Charmaine’s place! ❤️

Rebecca's home is very pleasant and comfortable. Access is very easy from the car around to the back porch and right into the room. We felt very welcome and highly recommended to any prospective guest.

Our stay at view with a room was stellar! Shirley is an extremely thoughtful host. She has everything you could possibly think to need with some very thoughtful touches such as freshly laid eggs that were left for us. The accommodation was impeccably clean and so well thought out. Modern bathroom, nice lighting. Beautiful views in a peaceful and serene setting. We walked at low tide to see the starfish, what a fun adventure! Shirley has a tide chart printed so you can time it just right. We loved our time at view with a room and highly highly recommend staying here. Thank you again Shirley!
